    Wow! The Selle Royal Drifter is also my favorite (I have several others including Cloud-9, Bikeroo, YLG, Radical Mega Soft, Odeni, etc.). Of all of these the Royal Drifter is my favorite (I have two brown and one black the exact same ones as the ones shown in your vid). As you probably already know due to the softer, more compliant covering material, the brown is more comfy than the stiffer black. I think I like the Drifer because of its flat surface, and it's narrow short nose. It's lighter than the Cloud9 (which is the heaviest). Totally agree, the Drifter saddle (especially the brown one) is a GAME CHANGER on any e-bike such as the XP!!

    I am using such a seat for a long time on my bike already and I think its still the best one around. Its so comfortable to sit on and the suspension is awesome.

    I put the new Selle Royal on my wife’s little Ancheer 20” , she loves that little bike, and after a minor adjustment went for a 45 min. ride came in she loves the seat, loves her bike even more, loves me, loves you. Big wifey points and god knows I need them. So another home run Chris . Thanks.

    Great stuff. I actually ordered this seat before I saw your video, good to know it's a good choice :) cheers

    I see a lot of reviews mentioning that the seat moves no matter how much they tighten it. Can anyone confirm this or are the reviewers doing something wrong? I need a good seat soon. I was also looking at cloud 9 but the complaints about squeaking and rips forming on the cover lead me here.

    I changed the saddle which came with the Rad Expand 5 for Brooks Flyer. Huge difference. I took it from my old MB because after 75 I have a bit of problem with my spine and some more. For a few days pain in a..., but after some time most comfortable saddle you can have. Highly recommended.

    Gee thanks Chris my wife took one look at the brown one and said “Is that your new seat it is gorgeous, not yet I said “. Ok I want one order me one “ so I get a close-up look while I try the Cloud 9 with the slot. Hers will go on an Ancheer 20” that has been just fine no issues for 2 years. I take my first XP 2.0 ride tomorrow and will be rotating the handlebars for sure. Thanks for the great step by step videos.

    Thanks for the video. I have this same saddle in my garage, but keep going back and forth between the Selle Royal Drifter and the Cloud 9 Cruiser Airflow Select. The Selle is more comfortable, but I find myself repositioning a couple times after a stop because the seat is so large. But with the Cloud 9 I find myself standing on the pedals after an hour or so to give my backend a rest! Guess I'll be trying the Selle again, lol.

      Thanks for the feedback! Also try adjusting the angle of the seat. That can really help out 👍

    Chris does this seat as the information says relieve the pressure on the prostate etc. ?. I think it’s great looking and would gladly switch to it if that is the case. I would go brown too just a great looking seat too.

      @PedalWithPower  Рік тому

      It's pretty soft, I would say it helps relieve pressure quite well

    I couldn't get my Brooks Flyer quite right on my hybrid hard tail but gave it a try on my Diamondback Union and it works beautifully.

    The Cloud 9 arrived and I’ll put in on hopefully today. Selle Royal brown beauty will be Sunday. I want to call your attention to a video by Paul and Paula’s channel “How to load and unload an ebike without lifting”. It’s brilliantly simple, I bought the pieces for less than $150. It is the solution for anyone at for the Lectric Bikes. In addition to secure, out of the weather and so simple you can still tow a jet ski,boat, travel trailer, etc. Such a great example of Keep it simple. Everyone I have sent the link to is going to use it. Seniors especially have been unleashed. All credit goes to Paul and Paula who also make great videos traveling.

    is it just me or is this an annoying instructional video? trying to figure out how to put the larger piece in the middle - he says "pinched part and "hole" toward the seat? showing with one hand ain't doing it. will let you know if I finally get it together.

      ok finally figured it out. should have said put the hole upward where the pole will fit in. the rest was clear.

    Chris I mounted the brown one and with the seat tightened down with post connection on rails centered it is too far forward for my comfort. I moved the post connection to the furthest point forward which does create a long cantilever from the connection to the springs. Do you think this will effect the seat performance being in this position? Great job Chris I really value your videos. Truly the best on You Tube.

    Hi Chris, u r a cuel doood ! I watch all your videos and they are very informative! I just got the brown drifter saddle to replace my cloud, nine they look really nice. I was wondering if you could make a video on replacing the front forks on the lectric XP 2.0. I have mine setup to max preload but it is always bottomed out. I only have 600 miles on my XP and I weigh 197lbs so I think the shocks are probably working OK, as designed. I was wondering if their might be a high end brand that I could upgrade to ? I am also putting tectro hydraulic wire controlled brakes on too (180mm). thanks man !

    • @PedalWithPower
      @PedalWithPower  2 роки тому +1

      Thank Will, the fork only has about 30mm of travel. It will bottom out. I'm not sure about finding a different one, because of the small size and wider axle spacing. I'm a little limited as to how much I can spend upgrading this bike.

    • @PedalWithPower
      @PedalWithPower  2 роки тому +1

      You may try backing the preloads all the way out so that you have the most travel possible and see if that helps

      OK I will try that, sounds like a good plan. Looking forward to ur next video.

      I did not consider the shorter travel ! I was impressed by the forks and suspension on your Haibike but that is a whole other class of ride. From what I have read the forks on the new Lectric mid drive model are not as good as the 2.0 but have more travel ?? Maybe in time the mid drive Lectric forks will be better and available to try. Thanks for the reply and "ride on Chris"
