Head recoil is a bit overdone in tarky, but also yes. This gun is firing 7.62x54r and weights like 11 kilos when loaded, when it fires, your body fires too lmao.

@@OperatorMax1993 why is it that mosy games that falls into the realism category overexagerrate the realism aspect and makes stuff feel wrong like here in tarkov, the gun recoil on guns go straight up like the front of the gun jumps unless you level it up or add attachments on it and some reloads are unnecessarily slow
These are really top notch animations I have to admit. They didn't cut corners on the quality and accuracy of each sound. I'm only wondering about the sound level. I've shot guns outside and yeah when you fire, you get a lot of echo unless you're aiming at the ground, but the echo isn't louder than the detonation. The way it's shown on this video is how a camera records a gun shot, but not how you should hear it. Especially a short barreled shotgun that fires both shells at once. :)

It’s tarkov thing. They’re working on the new recoil, i hope they improve it. Old tarkov recoil seem fine couple year ago with a right build your gun can turn into a laser beam.
tbh, the outdated animations kind of reminded me of a realistic situation where movement is reduced due to wanting to maintain energy and stealth, i dont really like the new ones
I hate "modern realistic" animations because they're not realistic. No experienced shooter would fire their gun sideways, not pistols, not rifles or anything else unless it's meant to be fired sideways. No one would shake their gun like a cocaine addict or hit their shoulder that hard when weapon is ready to fire. It's like the shakier animators make guns the more people enjoy it without realising how wrong is it to slap and beat their weapon. Tarkov animations might seem slower than usual but they're perfect for what they're should be.
No, they’ve redone their models. The original PMs were based off of blank-firing copies of the PM, so their models weren’t accurate. Either that, or they did them already and this update has just redone their animations, I’m not too sure.
The updated 2023 mod does eliminate some of the big underlying issues that the previous model held (like with the weird 2 round burst) and so far no complaints as of now with the updated version.
I think is because they overhauled the 3D models of the Makarov-APS family of pistols for this update. Not much difference except certain details that only gun nerds might truly appreciate.
