    Got into pickleball not too long ago. I'm currently using the Selkirk Amped S2 Paddle. I'd like to see it compared to other paddles of similar size and handle length. The vanguard version would be nice. I tried both and didn't notice much difference, likely because I'm not experienced enough to take advantage of the differences.

    • @thepickleballmafia1165
      @thepickleballmafia1165  3 роки тому +1

      The vanguard will give you more consistent touch off the whole face of the paddle but the amped will give you more pop!

      @@thepickleballmafia1165 Thanks! Amped seemed more durable as well, like the grit would hold up better. Is that correct?

    • @thepickleballmafia1165
      @thepickleballmafia1165  3 роки тому +1

      The Z-5 is a very popular paddle! and we can def can look at how it performs with similar structured paddles that some companies charge higher rates for. it funny some company take the same paddle and charge double but does it really give them any more playability?

    Can you compare some of the solid core paddles like the Pro Kinetic and Gear Box paddles to the honey comb style paddles pros cons. Solid core seem to have more pop, honey comb more control better dinks. Also now that the Warrior is using grit is that the way to go similar to the franklin paddles and long term how will they hold up? Seems they lose that grit over time and play. Great video keep it up guys!

      I’ve played with both the Pursuit and the “E” and they are both awesome paddles for those who like a little extra pop and are looking for extra topspin with power on their serves and groundstrokes. PS - I bought one of the first Vanguard Inviktas and sent it back. The surface wore off in about 2 months and will dent super easily. I expect a bit more for a $200 paddle.

    I’m playing with the Prince Spectrum Pro.
    I would like to see a comparison of the Franklin Ben Johns 16 mm versus the Engage Elite Pro Maverick, because those two are similar in length, both are used by top professionals, yet are more affordably priced than the highest end paddles so they appear to be right at the sweet spot for value.
    One suggestion: if you guys could provide weights and description of balance on each of the paddles that you review, I think that would be helpful.
    I found your reviews to be really good. As a general rule comparative reviews of competing products can be the most useful and helpful of all and I like how you don’t get squeamish with naming brands and models. There’s nothing more useless than a review that says “my current [product] is at least 30% better than this Acme 2000,” but the reviewer won’t tell you what his current product is.
    Thanks- you just got yourself a new subscriber.
