BMW F10 530d N57 Safe Remap test - dyno

How much risk do you want to take for more power ... ?
Because it is hard to find a safe mild remap ... we set out to develop one.
In this video we are validating the power and torque on a dyno at Master Tuning.
The target was an OEM+ feel, with a 10% increase in power and torque.
Standard: 245bhp 520NM
Mild Remap: 289bhp 583NM

520d 184hp what kind of increase can we expect?

depends on the overall condition of the car and how much risk you want to accept. the map that i personally use has a 10%ish increase, but our tuner can modify the maps aiming for the full 220 bhp and 440 Nm. Although some will say that remapping is safe, based on personal experience, you are sacrificing reliability and especially on old cars, the more power you want the bigger the chances of a big repair bill.

Disagree. Remaps if done correctly will not harm an engine in any way whatsoever. Only the idiot with the right foot will destroy the engine. Poor maintenance too.
