Hi! I got F31 N57D30 with remap to 342hp/700Nm (DPF and EGR still works). Car works perfectly.. Im on highways almost every day, so torgue is really helpful at 150km/h+ speeds. With remap i got 60.000km. Cars mileage is 240k. I think its only about owner- change oil with filters every 15.000km, push it to the limit only with heated oil and of course turn off Start/stop system.. For sure i changing oil in ZF every 60.000km..

I’ve got the F11 530d - stage 1 map giving me 316bhp and 620Nm - economy is better for sure - I’ve gone from Calais to the Dolomites in north east Italy on 1 tank - can’t complain about that and super comfy too

I just bought a 2018 A6 3.0TFSI (supercharged; not turbo). Do you know if remapping will improve fuel mileage in this car? The car is still under factory warranty. Would remapping void the factory warranty? Your videos are good. I wish you good luck as you get more views and subscribers.

Hello I remapped mine and it did not improve fuel consumption but had very good gains. A6 30t very detuned and remap releases plenty of power.

This extra gain in torque put massive stress and damages the transmission. I've learn this the hard way.

Recently I've bought F10 535D from US (which is EU's 530D single twinscroll turbo 3.0L diesel - same as here). Got it remapped professionally - multiple dyno runs, log analysis etc. (both the engine, TCU, speed limit removal etc.). The result? 316HP with 630Nm and significant acceleration gain. Paid 400 pounds for it in Poland as of today's money. Took almost 4 hours to complete.

@@albania2664 As a xDrive is has very nice traction and does 0-100kph in about 5 seconds. Top speed now at 280kph. When on Sport Mode the reaction to throttle is much faster than it was. I had to replace valve cover as it started to leak. I don't think remapping was a direct cause - probably the cover was already weakened by mileage.
The shop is called BMG Tuning in Wroclaw.

@@albania2664 You never know... Higher power means higher wear to the crankshaft and I know this particular engine has problems with it. Yet many of sub 200k cars are really nearing 500k because of odometer rollback. If you think the mileage is legit then it should withstand extra power.

What worries me is the tolerances of things such as the fly wheel. Ive been offered a tune taking torque from 330nm to 450nm.
Thats 40nm over the max load and that cant be good for longevity can it!

I'm not convinced about the increased power AND fuel economy claim. Manufacturers compete with each other and try really hard to deliver both fuel economy and performance. They struggle these days to meet the emissions standards hence the VW cheat box. If there was a way to increase power and mpg just by changing the s software I'm pretty sure they would know about it, they will have a huge team with fancy computer simulations and testing facilities. I know they sometimes use software to limit power so you if you want more power then you have to buy the more expensive sport version of the same thing. I've also heard that a remap can mess with the trip computer so it over estimates mpg, maybe it doesn't realise that more fuel is in fact being dumped into the engine....?

    • @ciaranwhite2763
      @ciaranwhite2763 2 роки тому +1

That all sounds very reasonable, and obvious. I heard there are 2 different maps, performance and eco but literally can’t be the same.

I've book to get my new Ford focus ST Line X 1.0 125bhp next week to 150bhp. But after watching a few videos on here I'm actually terrified now in going ahead with it. Worried it will screw up my car that I just got two weeks ago which is 2019 reg and then I'll be left with finance to pay for a car I don't have or can't use. Any advice would be great.

The engine of the Ford is already pushed almost to the max better dont do it. On the 530D the engine have big potential BMW say ist 245 ps but is actually 280-290ps at the wheels stock. Those remaps dont do much

Before watching, safe tune with before and after dyno: YES!
Cowboy limited coming to you to mess with your boost pressure on your driveway: NO!
Pop and bang, launch control, etc NO-NO!
Ebay ODB chip tune box: NO oh god please NO!
Also this Bring My Wallet already had enough problem. Why on earth the owner bagging for more? 😅
At a proper place, they doing racecar prep, before and after dyno print out they quoted me £300
(Also can change the ECU on a phone app between original, tuning, eco)
