    The second one, I still haven't plugged in yet but if there's 3lbs of copper in em, shoot......
    Both are smaller ones though. A little pancake and a lil 2 gal with tanks like the one in this video had.

    Thank you for the information I've always used a grinder or Sawzall to cut off the copper from the housing I only use the grinder if I absolutely have to because I've actually been injured twice from it but I'd like the idea of the machete I'm going to have to give that a try also I like how you micro scrap everything some people may not want to go that far but it's good to have the knowledge in case you want to try to go that far also the breakdown in profit from each type of material is very helpful to let people know is it worth it or not to them the only thing I would suggest is to tell your viewers how long it took you to take it apart 🤠

    Hi, new here, I have 2 questions, what do you do for your main job? And do you figure in the cost of the item you’re scraping? My 4 year old grandson loves to watch things taken apart, you’re a wholesome channel that I can let him watch. Thank you for that. God bless you.

      Hello there, I’m happy to have you here and I think that is so neat about your grandson.
      I used to do a little bit of everything from lawn care to fixing cars and a little bit of construction. Now I’m mostly a full time UA-camr but I still do odd jobs to help out certain folk.
      I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking about figuring in the cost of what I’m scrapping. I get all my scrap for free.
      Thank you so much for watching and for your wonderful comment.
      God bless you and your grandson.

      Oh, so the initial cost of the air compressor, in this case, is $0. I wondered because I’m going to thrift stores with my grandson hoping to find things for him to take apart. Otherwise he and his tool set starts taking things apart that he’s not supposed to. One morning I was out of the room for about 10 minutes. I thought he was too quiet he had taken the cable router apart. Luckily it was one that wasn’t working. He’s really very curious and extremely smart. 2 wonderful traits. I guess I just really need to find free stuff. Have a blessed day.

      Thank you and you too have a blessed day.

    You don't need to remove that string and tape binding off the copper winding?
    It's a nuisance getting that stuff off.
    I enjoy watching others dismantling stuff. This was a good harvest.
    Tried the boiling method on some plugs and it worked a treat mostly besides some stubborn ones. I used the boiling water from my pasta!

    teh different ways peopel scrap stuff..that machete must be sharp as heck..this way is much less messy than mine..i grind one end off tehn use the screwdriver to pull the other end out comes all out in one piece..teh grinder is the messy part..get dust everywhere..no dust here.. but its quicker ..takes me less than a couple minutes and its pure clean copper.. they only give numer 2 in my yard for this stuff but i come across alot of compressors that it adds up pretty quickly..

    I've gotten these things before, is there any worry that the tank is pressurized, that is full of air? I don't want to mess with that, typically I just want the electric motor. But I end up tossing the entire thing into tin shred, cuz I'm worried some prankster juiced it full of pressurized air, and I don't want it to pop, or anything while I'm trying to get the motor.

    • @scrapitall200
      @scrapitall200  9 місяців тому +4

      One of the brass pieces I removed, the one that had a steel ring on it, that’s a pressure release valve, you just pull on it and it’ll drain all the air or you can open both petcocks, that’ll drain the air as well. Just look at the pressure gauge and it’ll tell you how many psi of air is in the tanks.

    • @BushDogScrapper

    You report to us in US pounds and ounces, which is great. But does your scrap yard pay for fractions of a pound? For example my yard reports on the reciept my metals weight in pounds, and no fractions. And they calculate my payment using whole pounds. So I am thinking that I should weigh my copper and brass before hand, and turn in just over whole pound amounts so I am not giving away the fractional weight.

    • @scrapitall200
      @scrapitall200  9 місяців тому

      The yard I sell brass and copper to they weigh in pounds and ounces but for everything else, they’ll either round up or down.
      I would suggest you weigh your copper and brass before selling it, that way you’ll know what you have.
      Each scrap yard sort of does things their own way, so try to get to know yours and don’t hesitate to ask them questions.
