    Looking for Stargate Convention Clips Go here: www.metacafe.com/channels/star... #nowplaying #series #show Seed ships are unmanned spaceships launched from Earth by the Ancients tens of millions of years ago. A minimum of 2,000 years before launching the Destiny, the Ancients sent out several of these ships to make a path for the Destiny across the universe. Their mission was to search for suitable planets, plant Stargates on them, then transmit that information back to the Destiny. The crew aboard Destiny would then explore these planets.

    As everyday news becomes more and more unbelievable I find myself watching more believable fiction, like stargate.

    Excellent models and drawings. It is awesome just to dream that tech like this existed so very long ago. I am open minded. Also, I wish I could get a really detailed model of a stargate with a dialer. A diorama.

      I didn't know about this when it first came out. But there was a toy line for sg1 that was very detailed and each figure came with a piece of the Stargate oh, and I believe one of them came with the Event Horizon oh, and you would have assembled it after you had all five or six figures. I've only learned about it by looking on eBay, where they have them all but the price is very steep. I would love to collect these figures someday. I believe one of them came with the DHD as well

    I am forced to wonder if the unusual hull shape of both Destiny & these seed ships had something to do with the type of FTL drive they used.

    • @StargateOmega
      @StargateOmega  5 років тому +7

      You know, I don't know if that was an FTL thing or just a design change over the thousands of years between that and Atlantis. I like that they didn't resemble Atlantean technology, because it would have changed over the years anyways. However it was designed to go into Stars for refueling so maybe that was the reason, or part of it

      @@charlesmcgehee3227 The Destiny used some different kind of faster than light propulsion that didn't require it to enter into hyperspace (as these seed ships likely did).

      @@jacksonheathen2092 I dream of a time in the future when new propulsion systems are developed. I trip to another Galaxy becomes a quick trip. Rocket propulsion will never get us out of this solar system. Never. If particle acceleration is reality then so is F.T.L. Or similar faster than hell speeds.

      Me too! I love that part in Star Trek generations, when the captain of the Enterprise B says we're just doing a test run around Pluto oh, a quick run around the block, like a 15-minute trip. I too can't wait for those times

    I wonder where the ancients and ori home galaxy was. Considering the ancients fled their home galaxy from persecution from the ori (or at least for different beliefs), you wouldn't send any seed ships in that general direction for fear the ori would get information where the ancients were hiding. So makes me think that their home galaxy was further away from the center of space (or where the noise was). This series had soooo much potential. I feel like people didn't give it a chance because is resembled battles star galactica at the beginning. But it did something the other two series didn't, character development. Along with having some really good story lines. They had to learn to survive on the ship, then learn to control it and get needed resources. Then there were an alien race that was advanced trying to capture destiny. Another race that was trying to use destiny as a weapon to take revenge on a.i that destroyed their race. Who created the a.i? Who created that planet with the obelisk? And brought the shuttles back to destiny. What about the other civilization cities that were found. And how bout the noise that is believed to be the beginning. I hope when they start the 4th series, they stay true to what is being talked about and they finish this up. Tbh I wish they would continue it. I feel once the second season started taking off people were starting to really get into it but season one was slower than the other 2 series. It didn't help they kept changes days/time it was on. Nor could they take if people were recording it

    I was a little disappointed in the seed ships. I imagined they would be Incredibly massive and industrial looking, more like a gigantic puddle jumper

    • @mikeschmidt4800

      They are huge and unmanned. A giant puddle jumper wouldn't make sense if they hadn't built supergates.

    Given the seed sips are autonomous how do the seed ships gather the raw materials to build gates and how are they deposited on each planet?

    So, from a logistical resource perspective, how would you categorize the seed ship's power reserves?

    • @StargateOmega
      @StargateOmega  2 роки тому

      Beyond excellent, I'm guessing the ship survived as long as it did, continuing on his journey, was because they wanted it to go for thousands or millions of years. With the ability to recharge at any star, allows it to theoretically go forever. Things do break down but the Ancients don't build crap LOL. And in the vacuum of space no degradation should occur through oxidization.😎👍

    They really shoulsnt have made the timeline so ridiculous. Tens of millions made no sense aa the ancient tech would be far more advanced in Atlantis which didnt even have indipendant teleporters, it coulsnt cloak atlantis even though it was easily done by 1 human and the ships were even more useless. I know they needes a plot but they could have made it believable

    • @StargateOmega

      That's a good point. The only thing I can think of, is Destiny was exposed to space on the inside as well as the outside preserving it. But even still I believe the electronics would have failed after a hundred years LOL let alone a million😎👍

      @cragerzz 3 роки тому +1

      @@StargateOmega Good point I agree. I just wish they'd given us a better reason for Atlantis surviving too. The Wraith knew it sunk yet all those Wraith didn't try and find it? You'd think they'd of tried to find it at least for the Stargate if not advanced tech which theyd have had tens of thousands of years to try and play with. Any thoughts?

    • @StargateOmega
      @StargateOmega  3 роки тому

      I think the Destiny was lawn before the Ancients went to the Pegasus Galaxy. So the Wraith wouldn't have known about it anyways. As far as I know the ancients got really Advanced on Earth, launched the destiny, then went to the Pegasus Galaxy, Fought The Wraith, then went back to Earth. And bread with the humans that were there, producing the ancient Gene in some people and not others. The Ancients may have forgotten about Destiny, due to its age.😎👍

      I watch a really good video about the making of Discovery on another Channel. They said the producers wanted to get back to the original movie aspect but Brad Wright wanted to keep all of the 15 years a blower so there might have been some compromises between the two. And some historical inaccuracies.😎👍
