Great look man I love it. I was wondering what your thoughts and opinion are about larger rims on these cars and how they may effect their performance. May an idea for a blog
Looks good! Watching the install video made me realize this isn't something I want to attempt on my own. Guess I'll have to pony up a few bucks and have a shop with the proper equipment install them for me.
Not enough drop. I have the Eibach's on my 6th gen with 22" wheels (265/30/22 & 305/25/22) and I still wish the springs lowered about .5" more. With 20" wheels and 30mm tall tires seems 1.5" to 2" would be the correct drop to eliminate all the wheel gap, lower the center of gravity even more, and provide the flush stance everyone wants. However, I'm sure there may be diminished returns as far as the ability of the shocks and struts to preform optimally but I want what I want, lol. The Eibach springs ride great and the 1.1" drop made my car look dope and I would recommend the spring to others considering springs but I still wish it were lower. If I didn't have MRC I would have gotten coil-overs. I wish I knew Eibach did installations & alinements, I would have saved $195. $300 is a great price!!! my 22's are re-used rims from my 5th gen where 22's seem to look better. When my MRC struts wear out I'm going to coilovers and a 1LE/ZL1 rim and tire size set up.
I am contemplating getting a Camaro next year after my GT lease is up. (Not a fanboy, just like fast cars.) Wanted to say your car is super clean and super mean looking. Keep it up. Sub'd.
It looks so good now,and i think its one of the best looking camaro on youtube. I want to konw if you will do review of the ride with the new eibach's,because i think all of us want to know how it feels
Hey Matt, I dropped off my car today at my Chevy Dealer to have the Eibach Springs put in and they found something interesting I thought I would pass on. There are 6 bolts that are a one time use only bolt according to the GM labor guide. My dealer ordered the 6 bolts for about $20. Just wanted to pass this on in case you used your original bolts. They stretch slightly and are not made to be tightened a second time. I used to be a Service Writer for BMW an we would come across bolts very often that were one time use only.
I installed Moroso trick springs in my 71 Chevy Nova once using nothing but a floor jack and jack stands. I succeeded and didn't die but never again will I mess with coil springs without a lift and proper tools.
Unfortunately I have found out the hard way why there is the crimped point in the factory exhaust. In the event of a rear end collision the exhaust will fold down at that point and keeps the entire exhaust from moving foreword and creating more damage to the rest of the car. My 6th Gen 2ss was rear ended last week by some nimrod that wasn't paying attention.
Awesome video. I have been trying to decide if I want to go with a lowering springs if so who. Camaro and gap look great!! So how is the ride, handling and feel overall since the install? Thanks for the video
Eibach just started offering customer installs. They will install the springs and align the car for $300 if you buy the springs direct from them. They are booked about a month out due to R&D. Call 1-800-507-2338 and enter extension 130 for Tanner. He is the one who gave me the info.
Lots of information much appreciated..what state are you in...if I wanted that done right ...your installer was the man to do it and he had all the tools excellent shop for that mod I must say...then what was the total? I thinking close to 3,000?
I have a 2016 1le and took it to eibach to get a prototype spring for my 1le and my car is uneven on all sides...and that's the same person who installed them...I had and having such a bad experience with them ☹️sucks cause I love eibach
Matt, I know this has been awhile now, but I just installed the Eibach on my 2021 Lt1 and replaced the H&r springs that I had previously installed and now I noticed that the front passanger has a "sunken in" or very bad negative camber compare to the drivers side. Any ideas?
Matt, Since it`s been a while since you uploaded this video. I wanted to know if it has caused any extra wear on your suspension given the springs travel distance. Do they cause any suspension damage? tia!
You scrape yet Matt? I own a 1972 Chevy El Camino that I've lowered and now every time I pull into a driveway, parking lot, or go over a speed bump I close my eyes lol just waiting for the inevitable horrid scraping noise. I've been on the fence about lowering my 2016 Ford Mustang GT CS since I bought it because they look so good lowered but on the other hand I don't want to be scraping the front of my car every time I exit a parking lot or go over a speed bump. I think I'll just leave it be since I plan on trading it in for the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 with the 10-speed auto when it gets released.
Quick question, can you not install coil overs due to the mag ride? Lowering springs are fine but they take a toll on the shocks over time. Thanks and keep up the great content.
+Marc Flamer Mag ride blows coilovers out of the water... unless you're building a spec racecar. But if you buy MRC, you have no reason to buy Coilsovers.
Nice - looks pretty sick... so let me ask you this: with new tires, new rims, new suspension, body kit... how much did that cost you? If close to 10k then oh man you could have gotten ZL1 with all those and some more options :)
great video Matt. which eibach did you go to, foothill ranch, or Riverside? ride looks good. thought about doing it to my 6th gen, but I worry about hitting the cement parking stops, which my car clears with the stock height.. can you check that out and see if it will still clear?
I have a stock 1LT RS V6 with 20 inch wheels. I want to replace the stock rubber with what they have on the 1LE V6. Can you tell me what size tires the V6 1LE has front and rear?
Matt, after you install the lowering spring from eibach did you had any tire balancing or camber adjustment after? That one is inly like 1.1 inches drop right? I'm planning to get one of those too but my concern is about my cambers and tires. Thanks again in Advance. Cheers!
Thanks for answering me that's one of the main reasons I subscribed to your channel you actually take the time to answer Questions to help people out like me who doesn't know..
315/35 will not fit... even 315/30 will not fit without spacers. 305/30 is the widest you can go with the proper offset. If you go wider it will rub. I am running 305/30/20 and 285/30/20
I would have no problem doing this at home. That being said a longtime ago I used to build Low Riders and install hydraulics. Nice Video!

That's why I make these videos. So you can see what it takes and decide if you want to take it on or not.
Thanks for the video. For some reason I thought this could not be done with the magnetic ride.
+SelectaJ316 it can be ;)

just pulled the trigger yesterday on one.. yay this i want to do

+Real Diel Autohaus yes, they are torque on yield bolts.
I installed Moroso trick springs in my 71 Chevy Nova once using nothing but a floor jack and jack stands. I succeeded and didn't die but never again will I mess with coil springs without a lift and proper tools.
+SG Carter I wanted to be overly cautious here... never know what knuckle heads will try to do to blame me for something they did.
Now that you have driven this set up for a while. How has your driving experience changed? Like do you hit more speed bumps, etc..
Do you have to get the shocks magnetic ride computer reprogrammed with the new springs?!
+vnitto no, the drop isn't significant enough to require it.
I have 315 35 20 all the way around with no problems. I also have a friend that has 325 25 20 and 315 in front.
+frank valdez Why so wide up front? Also you running spacers?
Lethal no spacers
Perfect timing... these came to my door today.

Car looks good Matt! Question how much did eibach charge you to do all this work?? To install and alignment your wip!
+Obie _16 S.S they provided the product at no cost to me.
Riverside location I presume? and did you get them free because of UA-cam video or because it is new and you are a tester?
+i Bee Amazin I offered to do a video if they provided install help

Which mods? Being this is a lowering guide it’s not $3k ;)
Matt, my 2016 2ss has the performance suspension package...is it worth changing over? I also have MRC
Iam debating the eibach multi r1 or the bilstien B16 but since eibach is made in America I probably just got eibach
I have a 2016 1le and took it to eibach to get a prototype spring for my 1le and my car is uneven on all sides...and that's the same person who installed them...I had and having such a bad experience with them ☹️sucks cause I love eibach
+ImageFactoryInc they are prototypes springs... the joys of being a test car.
Great video! Looks much better, awesome build!
Nice! Love your car dude.
Also: what was the song at the beginning?

I have a 2016 with RS package I'm trying to put an exhaust wondering what sounds good and right for the my Camaro
Do you have to reprogram your mag ride when you lowered you SS
Thanks for the video Matt, really good info!

Looking good Matt.
Hey Matt, How much did this spring set dropped your car? Did you take measurements before and after? Thanks!
+Deives Corvello 1 1/8"
I have a stock 1LT RS V6 with 20 inch wheels. I want to replace the stock rubber with what they have on the 1LE V6. Can you tell me what size tires the V6 1LE has front and rear?
+Jon Car I am not sure what the V6 1LE is using.

+Astiginbro you have to get an alignment after lowering your car
How does this affect ride quality? Worse, better, or not at all?
that's what I'm wondering since he made a video of the noises inside the cabin I would think this would make it more noisier but who knows.
+julio luna review incoming.
Did you lose your magnetic ride control
what is the ride like now. can you notice a big diferace
Does eibach do installs to the public? I would like them to install as to they know best. Not many shops around here in riverside that I can trust.
They do.
LethalGarage thanks for the reply. Going to give them a call Monday.
i love that car good job with it
Eibach will install the springs for you?
One question straight for LethalCamaro (LethalHammer) do you have any advice for driving a camaro In winter (snow) or is that just a big no no
+Jeos Gaming Get amazing snow tires and drive 1mph... these cars are not meant for snow.
Lethalhammer whats a car you would recommend just for using in the snow (thats not too expensive but good)
Lethalhammer really? Like not at all? I mean i know they are RWD but they should be ok no?
+Jeos Gaming that's the tough one... something old that you simply won't care about. Jeeps are always good with all wheel drive.
+Jeos Gaming in deep snow a Camaro will not do well. But light snow it will be fine. I would be more worried about other drivers.
Are the exhaust tips aftermarket? I was thinking the stock exhaust tips were a single vs dual.
+S Alex GM offer dual and quad, but I replaced the exhaust with the Stainless Works setup.
how much did it lower the car?
Across the board! 👍🏼
Another great video. Thanks!
My Camaro already sits low How much more performance are you gonna get out of Lowering it I'm curious...
Mainly lowering the center of gravity
Thanks for answering me that's one of the main reasons I subscribed to your channel you actually take the time to answer Questions to help people out like me who doesn't know..
I’m not perfect, but I try
Much appreciated.
Can you tell me the tire size your running? I'm thinking of running 315/35/20 and I want to make sure they will fit with these springs
315/35 will not fit... even 315/30 will not fit without spacers. 305/30 is the widest you can go with the proper offset. If you go wider it will rub. I am running 305/30/20 and 285/30/20
Lethal thank so much
Is an alignment needed after this?
It’s always suggested
@@Lethalgarage I went and had it done, got the 4 wheel alignment as well. This Eibach kit really makes a difference.
did you tip the mechanic?
I’ve got to ask, does this kit fit the v6 and 2.0
They make springs specifically for the V6 and 2.0. Check their website.
What percentage is your window tint?
+Ryan Scott 15% ceramic
any chance this will work with an v6 rs camaro 2017?
+leonel figueroa These are specific to the SS. I think they offer v6 springs
thanks for the reply.
I have a 1/2 difference in height in the rear, does anyone have this issue?
Was it installed right?
nice thanks man..
Lol nice...you should've offered multiple cars including mine😊 so they can practice lol..
where did you get those rims?
+Terrence Sanchez MMR Designs
Lethal cool thanks! just bought a new Camaro and I found you here. you've been awesome man! learning a lot!
+Terrence Sanchez Awesome!
Matt, Eibach has the Pro Kit # E10-23-018-01-22 listed on their site for the 2016 Camaro SS. Is this the one you installed?
+Will It? That's the kit
Video is kind of dark and hard to watch 😔 what happen to the finish picture
Maybe turn your brightness up? Pretty bright for me
in your opinion what is the ultimate cold air intake for the 2017 SS? and why?
+Sajid Bashir I have a video incoming on this.
drop it like it's hot...
goggles on his hat ....LOL safety first?
do you know how much they would do it for?? LOL
+Obie _16 S.S I don't think they just offer it.
i copied ricardo from phastek performance tutorial
okay....
Another great video TY!
