I have one in a pot and it is extremely vigorous! Seems a lot of people it is the best ever. Hope to try them one day. Thanks for sharing.

Mine started or really seeing and I was hopeful but now I'm probably pulling it out. I did get another Nabal from Brokaw and that one is doing much better. People say it's a strong grower and will take off, hopefully this year will see it really happen. Thanks for watching!

@@AvocadoTalk I have two and one is very vigorous and the other not so much. Perhaps once the roots release into the ground the slow ones will take off.

I had a similar problem with pincher bugs as well. They were devouring my fruit tree leaves faster than they could grow . I cant remember all the methods I tried out to control them but the most effective was sevin insect killer. I sprinkle a two to three foot circle around the tree away from the trunk and works for about a year.

For some reason it seems like they really like the Nabal avocados. What I've noticed lately is they're still going after my Nabal when the new growth comes in, but some of the other varieties are kind of left alone. Thanks for watching and it's hot right now so make sure you're avocados or hydrated!

Great video! I bought a Nabal in a 15 gal last year but it is growing but has not flowered yet. Best of luck with your Nabal, your avocado grove has a really nice selection of avocado trees, very nice!

If I would have known that Louie's was going to have 15G Nabals I would have waited, bought the first 5G I saw after 3 years. Just painted and added shade cloth, for this coming heat wave. Best of luck and thanks for watching!

@@AvocadoTalk I just remembered I bought my 15 gal Nabal at Louie's last year. Great idea on the white wash and shade cloth, I should start covering my trees as well. Best of luck with your avo trees this week, it is a sizzling out there.

@@AvocadoTalk I found that my 5 Gallon Nabal passed up all of the 15 Gallons that I planted. You made the right decision. I like usually plant 15's but these will grow so much faster! My Nabal is 10 ft tall.. planted in May 2019 the same size as yours!

@@socalbackyardgardener That is awesome, I can't wait. So far it is growing nicely and seems happy. If it wasn't for the 2018 July heat wave, I would have had a nice sized one already and possibly some fruit. Never give up. I really enjoy your content too, keep up the good work with the grafts! Thanks for watching!

If you don't mind me asking, what part of Southern California do you live in. I would like to know if I can grow these varieties.

Great plan, beautiful trees, best if luck to all of us in this coming HEAT WAVE. Avos are so VERY hard to get started when babies, they want to be under the shade of mother tree, and in a rain forest, instead we try to grow them in HOT DRY SUNNY California.

I'm glad you aware of the coming temperature spike, supposed to get up to 107 here on Tuesday, ouch. So far all of my trees have been handling the heat well except for my Sir Prize which I have a make shift cover over. Good luck to ALL of us. Thanks for watching!
