Naads is supporting these crops but there are not enough specialised extension workers. We farmers are operating in the dark

The system is working with nucleus farms which not only supply quality seedlings but also provide expert extension services like agronomic practices

The eight nucleus farms for both Macadamia and Hass Avocado but for Macadamia NAADs is working with Amafh Farm in Mityana and Royal plants and nurseries in Kyenjojo, Musubi farm in Mayuge, Humuza Agro processors and exporters group, Avocare and Kanyisa farm to provide quality seedlings and extension services to the small-scale farmers who intend to venture into growing Macadamia. These are where you can get the seedlings.

With this NAADS should be given budget to support more farmers especially in the Busoga sub region to plant more Hass avocado and replace sugarcanes
