WOW ..WTH !!! What a stunning build out. Such dedication to the commitment of a great shot! Worth it. Total respect for you & all the team👍🏻💪🏼🎥 HOLD UP ... Mark’s 4 th attempt - the overshoot. UNBELIEVABLY HOT. What talent & skill. Thank God there were no injuries. He just stood up & thanked his lucky stars. That’s real passion worth an Oscar stuntman right there. BOOM💪🏼💪🏼🎥🎥👍🏻
8:28 How sick is this shot. The time of day light angle and atmosphere, cam / cable timing and framing! And OF COURSE the rider skill n engineering!! Perseverance boys, yew!!! Plus the cool bonus tree wipe at the end to cut to another angle of the shot right.
I’m trying to improve my MTB filming and editing skills and your channel has been an awesome resource and inspiration. Every time I get my camera out on a trail and video a rider I learn 1000 new things.
Definitely more to come. Unfortunately the main rider I work with has broken his collar bone and I have badly sprained my ankle, so out of commission for a little while. Thanks for watching.
Yup, I preset the focal distance based on the most important part of the cable cam (when he is hitting the jump) and hope the rest will be close enough to in focus that it will look good.
So good! Was just wondering why you were using the Insa360? Did you have it in the 360 mode or just the gopro style? What are your thoughts on the camera?
Thanks Luke. Mark had an Insta360 sent to him to test so I wanted to give it a try. I hadn't worked with a 360 cam much before that day so was curious what kind of angles I might be able to get with it on the camera. The mounting wasn't really ideal it turns out. The quality in 360 mode is also pretty low, not to mention a REAL pain to work with. I think in the future I would use it in GoPro mode or just get a GoPro with a static angle locked in.
@@ScottBell Sweet man, great image. Love that cable cam shot. I think I will try to 3d print one and press some bearings into it, thanks for the inspiration!
Such a wild day!! I can't wait to heal up and get more days like this.
Yeah man, always fun to watch you hit something for the first time.
Technology is a wonderful thing, Scott. You killed this!! The level of passion here is palpable!
Thanks for watching Ed!

@@ScottBell yeah that sounds about right. I have one also and just haven't been able to get any decent quality out of it.
Nice job, that cable cam shot is sick! What are you shooting with these days?
Thanks Kyle! I'm shooting on a GH5.
