    I bought my latest controller the pioneer T1 second hand from A guy who made the usual mistake that A lot of people make,they buy a top of the line controller and finding themselves way over their heads.
    I advise start simple see how it goes,If you find that D.jing is for you then you can go out and buy better gear and you will know what you want and what suits you.
    Most of all it's easier to sell cheaper controllers than the expensive ones and you will not loose as much on the sale.

    i have been an extremely avid listener for the past 4 years of electronic music mostly sirius xm bpm and electric area.playlist wise i know what to sort out and how to be selective..i am glad people like you are helping bridge avid listeners into that transition into wanting to be a DJ whether it is for hobby or profession.What program do i need for the dj2go controller? i have gotten familiar with virtualdj (free) and have heard that the program included in numark's dj2go is a takedown version

    Thanks for your advice. I do agree, practice is the key to becoming good at djing. However, as for the equipment to use - as a newbie who currently uses djay on my Imac freehand (no midi) I'm considering the Vestax Typhoon or the Numark Mixtrack pro. Which would you recommend, or would you recommend another product?

    Very sensible advice thanks especially regarding the gear. I got hold of a brand new Roland DJ-808 about one third normal price and it comes with a great software bundle probably worth more than I paid for the controller. I will follow your advice and try to stick with it for at least year while I am still learning. Might upgrade the laptop though thinking another Dell XPS-15 the 4K screen is great for Serato DJ Pro.

      Nice one Mark, the 808 is a great controller you'll have a lot of fun with that

    Quick Question. I've recently ordered a VCI-300 MKII and it's on it's way and as most beginner djs, I did a lot of research before I bought it, however, I've been really attached to the idea that I should have gotten a Numark N4 instead to start out. So should I consider in swapping the VCI-300 MKII to the N4? I know it's all about the music and crowed as you explained, but I always get a special attachment with my gear/company once I use it and I don't want to be disappointed. Thank You!!!

    Hm, i buyed a controler blind just to try it, (not the best but its doing its job, actualy the cheapest on the market^^) and 2-3 days after geting it i mixed my first mixes. I failed once a set, but i were able to do it ^^. Two months later i mixed sets for a whole night at a friends LAN-party. Check :D, still thank you!

    Phil which software would you suggest....Traktor or Virtual DJ? Which one do you think will be better to start of DJing with?

    • @finguest
      @finguest 8 років тому

      virtual dj is good if you only have keyboard and mouse (ones that have fast response times) then virtual dj 8 is free and fantastic. if you plug a controller in then you can only go for 10 minutes until it locks you out. im not too sure about the other one though. never really used it.

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  6 років тому

      Some moderate parties, nothing massive :) Check the controller specs against the speakers you're looking at to make sure they'll work okay

  • @PokeyStix

    What were the two controllers you held up there, I know one was a Traktor S1, (I think) but what was the other one?

  • @JohanvanHoek
    @JohanvanHoek 6 років тому

    When using that DJ2GO, would you need to connect your speakers into your laptop, or your speakers into the DJ controller? Because I only have 3.5mm cables on my speakers

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  6 років тому

      With most DJ controllers nowadays, you connect them to your controller However the DJ2GO here is an older device, and you'd need yo use laptop with a mono splitter cable. The current version (DJ2GO2) works like modern controllers.

      Of course is a very good begginer controller

  • @DJWBN
    @DJWBN 12 років тому

    @ArRaGaming I have the numark n4! And in my opinion it's much better as the traktor s2! So buy the n4 it have 4 channels and a lot of effects and nice stuff and the traktor has just 2 channels so... And you can use the n4 as analogic mixer and the s2 not.
    (sorry for my bad english i'm Dutch)
