Thank you!!! Best cricut tutorial I saw! Everyone else talks too much and are unable to get to the point! Thank you again! This is exactly what I was looking for!
This is the most helpful Cricut and craft foam video on UA-cam! Thanks for your help and my project worked perfectly xo
Found this excellent video which answered a lot of my questions regarding how to cut different MMs of foam with the Cricut Maker. The instructions were very clear, and I learned a great deal! Even learned about the Custom Materials setting - who knew?? Thank you so much for making this :)
You are the best!!! Thank you. So clear and clever.
You are so welcome!
Love how thorough you were with this, showing all the changes in settings until you found the ones that worked best. This was very helpful - thank you!
You’re welcome, if you’re new to Cricut I invite you to m.facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftingcorner
I have used foam sheets so much, probably cut out by hand more than 2,000+ small designs for bday parties BY HAND!! Omgosh, the time this thing would have saved me. Getting a cricut tomorrow, so exited
Super 🎉
omg never knew you could move those thank you for the tips
You're welcome 😊
Thank you, It's my first time trying to cut foam and this video was extremely helpful :)
You're welcome 😊♥️
Thank you so much for an excellent informative video . I learned so much from you !
Hope you continue to make more tutorials!
Thank you, I will
Thank you! I’ve been struggling cutting craft foam for stamping on fabric. This video was really helpful. I’ll be checking out your other videos.
You’re welcome.
OMG move the wheels all the way to the right! Thank you! You just saved my project. Not sure why I couldn't figure that out.
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for the tutorial. I was wondering if it is possible to use htv on craft foam.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! Saved me so much time!
You’re welcome ☺️
Very informative video! I really like how you tested different settings instead of just relying on material presets. My takeaway is that I'm going to need a strong grip mat. I have a new Cricut maker for which I bought both a knife and deep cut blade. Foam slips way too much with a light grip mat but that and the fabric mat were the only ones included.
Wow! Thank You so much for your time. I love this Video. You answered a lot of questions for me in this one video!
You’re welcome, I’m glad you liked it 😊
This video was so helpful as I am trying to cut alphabet letters out of 2mm craft foam and I was having trouble. Thank you!
Thanks for the amazing tutorial! I didn't know you could create custom settings, so this will be very useful going forward :D

This video solved my problem for cutting craft foam for shadow cards and other dimensional projects. Thanks so much for the clarity of the demonstration 🥰. I am now subscribing to your You Tube channel.
You are so welcome!
I appreciate your research…thanks for your time Avanti.
You’re welcome ☺️
Thanks so much!! I'm a teacher and would love to cut foam with my new Cricut. Now I know how!!
You're welcome :)
Thank you Eva. I couldn't figure out "star" wheels. Thank you, thank you!!
You're welcome :)
Eva, this was a nice and useful presentation. Thank you.
You're welcome :)
Learning a lot! 💪🏼❤️🇵🇷
The video on cutting craft foam was fantastic! I had a question about the placement of the second object to be cut...when cutting paper it seems that Cricut Maker always goes back to cutting in the far upper left corner. With the foam video, you were able to cut to the right of that position...and with a third object cut further to the right without doing anything special. How did you do that? If you could tell me, I could also line up multiple stickers, etc.
Many thanks,
Cheryl Kerr
Hi, thank you. I’m glad you liked the video.I don’t remember doing anything special, I just sent it to cut. If you want to learn more about stickers check my video about it.
This saved me so much time! Thank you!!
You're welcome :)
I’m making Mandalorian armor, so this is quite helpful
Glad I could help
Thanks, I got a lot out of your advanced settings tips. Cheers, JAYTEE

Thank You, Great Video!

Thanks for the help

Have you worked with craft foam that has an adhesive backing? How would that be cut?
Hi, I haven’t, but I’ll probably use the rotary blade or knife blade.
@@AvantiMorocha1 that's what I was thinking. There aren't settings for the adhesive foam, but I've cut craft foam. Shouldn't be too different. Great video :)
Would you happen to know the hardness of that foam that you are cutting?
Sorry, I don't know.
Thank you great video 👍
You're welcome 😊♥️
Thank you very much ✨
You're welcome
What setting do you recommend for cutting EVA foam with a sticky back?
I’ll use the one I use in the video with the knife blade.
Very helpful...thank you!! :)
You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it 😊
Good day
Is it possible to cut different depths with you cricut maker. I love to work with craft foam. But sometimes you just want to make a line and don't want to cut threw the foam. I just want to line for the face not cut it out. Can someone help me with it please
Hi, yes, you could reduce the pressure; watch my video on creating custom material.
Hi what blade did u used for that if u dont mind … thanks 😊
How long do each blade last depending on medium use
Hi, about 2 to 3 months, but it could be less if you're using thick or dense materials.
I just purchased a Cricut Maker. I want to cut out.06 mm foam (foamiran} for flower making. Do you have a suggestion as to which blade and pressure settings I should use? Thank you for taking the time to make your videos. I've already learned a lot.
Hi, it's it 0.06mm I'll use the fine point blade and make some test cuts, probably reduce the pressure.
hey were you able to achieve this,, let me know please.. my cricut settings worked perfectly one day and then other day it stopped working.. dont know
How long do you think a blade would last, if you were just cutting foam?
Hi, if you’re using the knife blade probably more time than using the deep cut blade.
@@AvantiMorocha1 Hello dear 🩵I have maker3 I want to cut foam but it always shows on my laptop to put deep cut blade but I only have knife blade please help 🥹
I'm using the Explore Air 2, and Design Space doesn't have a setting for "EVA Foam" by default. Can you tell me what the specific settings are for EVA Foam so I can make a custom one?
I'd like to see the answer, too!
@@primmoore6232 In case you'd like to try the settings I'm using now, I made a custom entry for 2mm EVA Craft Foam at 140 pressure, 2x cut, with Deep-Point Blade. It's working pretty well with the StrongGrip mat, but it helps if I tape down the edges.
my cricut maker doesn't cut the glittered foam using fine point blade, could please help me.. thanks
Hi, It won’t do a good job, I recommend using the knife blade.
I tried cutting foam using your tutorial on my Cricut Maker! I am trying to cut craft foam using my deep cut blade, which is fairly new, but it will not cut through the entire material. I have checked the blade for debris, changed the settings in custom material, changed the pressure. I am not sure what else to do. I would appreciate your help & tips, thank you!
Hi, how thick is the craft foam? The next thing to do will be to buy a new blade. I prefer using the knife blade for thicker foam.
I'm sure it's too late now but I had the same problem. I found that sometimes when snapping my deep cut blade into the clamp it raises up slightly. Simply holding it downward while clamping it shut gets the blade lower and cuts through. Hope that makes sense!
@@AvantiMorocha1 hello how can i use knife blade for foam I have maker3 can you help please 🫶🏼
@@ManalI-bz3ks Hi, I showed in the video min 11. 😉
I am also using an Air 2, have been having tons of trouble figuring out the deep cut blade settings, blowing through this glitter foam :( any tips for Air 2 settings?
Hi, what is the thickness of the foam you're using? I wouldn't recommend anything thicker than 1mm.
Outstanding video! Do you think the Cricut Explore would cut foam letters with the same quality as the Cricut Maker? On a budget here... :)
Hi, if you are use the deep cut blade and 1mm foam it should be ok.
How on earth did you move those little white markers/rings on the machine? I can't get mine to budge!
So what was wrong when you were cutting 2mm foam with Deep blade and it started being rough? You said it shouldn't be the blade since you just changed it, but also moved to Knife blade after that
I think it’s the material, when cutting thicker foam over 1.5 or 2mm I only use the knife blade.
Please what's the difference between the cricut maker and explorer?
Hi, check my video, Cricut Machines comparason.
I'm looking into purchasing the deep cut blade or deep-point blade to cut foam, but they say they are compatible with the Explore. I have a maker, will this be an issue?
Hi, the deep cut blade it's compatible with Maker and Explore, however, if you want to cut foamy I'll recommend getting the knife blade. Unless you are using thin foam, less than 1mm.
@@AvantiMorocha1 that’s great, thank you so much!
I just bough a deep point blade and I'm using craft foam every time I use it I'm getting rough edges around the foam like in your first shape, how can I fix this? I bought the blade from amazon could I have gotten a bad blade?
Danielle Williams Hi, what Cricut do you have, and what is the thickness of the foam you’re using?
Great video ! Can you tell me where I can buy eva foam 1mm
Hi, you can get it at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
Price
Can you use a cricut explorer to cut this?
You can tried using the deep cut blade an a thin foam, about 1mm in thickness.
Me encanta tus vídeos! Son muy informativos !
Gracias 😊
how thick can the foam be ? i only see people using 1 or 2mm . can you go up to say 6 , 10 ? anyone know ?
Hi, you can only cut up to 2.4mm and I wouldn’t recommend anything thicker than 1.5 to 2mm.
Will this cut 6mm foam?
No
@@AvantiMorocha1 Thanks. Would 3mm be max?
when you say click and make it whtat button am i pressing
Hi, it’s the green bottom with the word “make“ in the right size of Design Space in the computer.
Can I cut 6mm thick foam
No, the maximum is 2.4 and I recommend not to cut anything thicker than 2mm foam.
We need to know the name and model of this machine ?
And if I want to make quantity do you think that the machine will help me and it will be good and fit to my uses ?
Hi, this is Cricut Maker, it'll help you with your business, however keep in my that the thickest the material the more time it requires to be cut. Maybe what you need is a laser machine, but they are super expensive.
Can you use a Cricut to cut through 6mm EVA foam?
Hi, no, you can't; to cut 6mm Eva foam, you need a laser machine.
Avanti Morocha thank you for responding. What’s the thickest foam a cricut can cut?
Hi, 2.5mm and you will need to use the knife blade.
@@AvantiMorocha1 Hola!
Where do u get the deep cut blade
Hi, you can get online or in any craft store.
👍
Can I do that w my explore air? Did you cut that w the maker?
If it's the explore air 2, I'll use the deep cut blade and only use 1" thick foam or less.
Are you able to do cartoon characters with craft foam ? If so can you so a tutorial :)
Hi, You can cut chipboard using the Cricut Maker and the knife blade. I recommend avoid intricate design because this are going to take forever.
Avanti Morocha I have a maker but I’m looking forward to using craft foam for projects . But it’s not coming out right whatsoever 🥺🥺
@@nuniez93ify Maybe is time to change your blade, remember to use the knife blade for 2mm foam.
How to print on foam paper
It depends of the printer you're using. You'll need to find one that allows you to print foam.
How much i want
Hi, check the links below the videos.
Pp
Please don’t add masking tape to mats.. you will void your cricut warranty
Hi, if you read the instructions from Cricut when cutting thick materials, they recommend using masking or painter tape. 🧐
