Ok I know this is an old thread now but just upgraded to TS-XW. Watching your review sold me as upgraded from T300RS with many saying it's not much difference. Found the TS-XW has way more feel for catching slides etc , input is greatly improved so I feel it was definitely a worthwhile upgrade . Commited to Thrustmaster eco system and considered Moza R5 to break into DD but picked my TS-XW up new for £320 without rim . So it was a no brainer and super happy with my purchase ! Great vid , correct info with all the important points covered. Honest review based on us normal dudes who cannot afford the upper market exotica but want best value for money and immersion.
Hi mate, I'm interested in your thoughts. I'm a G29 user, it's fine, but I just want a little bit more from my wheel (pedals already upgraded). I'm using a NLR GT-Lite cockpit and I'm curious about how it would stand up with a TS-PC/XW, what's your setup and how do you find it? I've blown my budget for the time being but already got my eye on a wheel upgrade and am leaning towards the Thrustmaster ecosystem. My rig won't take DD so I'm thinking this might be the best wheel I can get in the sub £500 market. What rim did you go with?
Hej Simracers. Because literally Nobody (in the reviews I found) is mentioning the loud noise of the fan at the rear of the TS-WX, I must have a faulty new one... The fan during a race is louder than my whole PC running full power. Or everybody is wearing headphones with loud enough game sounds and don't hear the fan 🤔 Is yours also noisy or whisper silent during and after a race?
@@williamwilson4705 sorry for late reply ! GT Omega ART cockpit and monitor stand . Honestly I can recommend the TS-XW if you already committed to the thrustmaster eco system as I was . Already had 3 rims so for me a no brainer. Never used a DD but with Moza,s offering it might be worth you going that way ! Honestly I find I run at 75 percent in the software and dial back in game , with more torque yes you get a wheel harder to turn but I found you lose some feel . There are loads of views out there , some helpful some not so . The Moza R5 is pretty much similar in price and 5nm may not sound impressive but done through a DD setup probably feels a whole lot different to a belt driven wheel . I'm totally happy with the TS-XW but yes fan is noisy and you do feel more cogging than the T300RS but it performs well , I had wheels and got mine for £300 on a box deal . Hope this helps !
I just got into Sim Racing, building my first setup only last week. I researched the hell out of all the options. I wanted a mid-tier setup with which I wouldn't feel immediate disappointment. I would have gone with the CSL DD, but it's on back-order for months. For a while I thought I'd go with the T300. Then I stumbled upon the TS-PC, and my path was set. I bought TS-PC wheelbase, along the Sparco Rally Wheel, the TH8A shifter, and Fanatec ClubSport V3 Pedals with the Brake Performance Kit. All this housed in the GT Omega Apex wheel stand. I'm blown away by how good it all feels. Though I will probably upgrade to a cockpit before too long. Probably the GT Omega Titan.
Im actually going through the same thing, everything on fanatec is sold out and I’m hearing bad things about their customer service since the pandemic, this seems like the go to
@@valgoyt912 it is it’s a dam good base for the price especially if your just getting into it and don’t wanna spend thousands or just wanna upgrade from a entry level wheel. Almost all the dd wheels around the same price range are all sold out which makes this a solid choice until the more affordable dd’s become available.

Thanks man, I appreciate that so much. I really want to focus on better quality videos so this was my first attempt at story boarding it and I’m glad to hear it was well received.
Solid review. I got a GT Omega Prime from my wife for my birthday and have been itching for a wheel setup upgrade. Coming from the G920 I’m giving the TSPC a go and see how I like it. May shell out for a CSL DD but unsure. Mainly wanting to drift and my G920 was second hand and has had skipping issues that I’ve been able to fix a few times but it’s only temporary fixes that don’t last long. Appreciate the info!
Yeah I dabbled with cheapo wheels for a bit then went back to controller on GT sport but a few weeks ago I bought my T-GT II with TCLM pedals.in a F-GT cockpit and totally love it,ps Thtustmasters DD wheel will be out pretty soon too
Bought it for 580$ few days ago (used but it looks nearly new), so not such a bad value as a though seeing that the csl dd is around 500 with a wheel and base but they're out of stock for so long. Just worried about its longevity. Are you still using this wheel, if so what probems have you noticed so far if any?
You know what? I was going to sell my tx xw. But now listened to your video. They might come out with a direct drive and hopefully be a direct drive system. That comes out. One thing I hope is they upgrade the shifter as well.
Guys, I bought a Trustmaster steering wheel (TS-XW Racer) and on the package it says “110V - 220V Version”, but I couldn't find where to change this voltage. On the source comes a 220V-240V label"… I don't know what to believe lol
With the new Logitech pro wheel, and the upcoming Thrustmaster DD wheel. What are your thoughts on buying it late 2022? Logitech's DD wheel is just way out of my budgey
I’ve been considering going to DD with all the new ones coming out. There is a reason all the big dogs are making them. I still think this is a good base though.
I hope thrustmaster release a new quality pedals I don't mind paying as long they're not plastic one for kids, unlike fanatec they have some quality pedals.
Great video, though I disagree about Fanatec Wheel Rims. BMW GT2 is Alcantara and only 199.99. Also the Mclaren GT3 V2 also 199.99. So not sure why you’d by the 400$ rims. CSL DD Has Decimated this level of wheel. Trust me I spent hundreds on Logitech then hundreds on Thrustmaster, and finally in the Fanatec Eco system I will NEVER leave!! Especially in the Pedal department! Csl DD May only be 5 NM stock. But level of Fidelity compared to belt drive is Night and Day!!!
i really want to upgrade my sim but at this price point you would be crazy to go with this instead of csl dd but the problem is apparently it's a legendry level 99 magical pony of availability i really want to upgrade but i don't want to regret it later

If you don’t already have the T-LCM pedals, that will impact consistency much more than the wheel will. That said, if you’re considering an upgrade, direct drive is less expensive than the tsxw new and is far more refined.

I’ve never used it on project cars or Xbox but I am sure someone will see this that has. If not, Reddit would be a great spot to ask.

600 pounds is definitely a lot of money to spend, but if simracing is/will be your hobby, then such a sum is probably justifiable in the long-term
ts-pc with the big sparco rally wheel is to weak in my opinion but kinda OK with a Very light Carbonfiber 28cm gt3 Style wheel ...
