With the exception of time being a major issue, I'm surprised you didn't pivot your second idea and have a mainline station with a narrow gauge transfer. Then you could have had a narrow gauge railwayto play with on your layout as OO mainline could run through o.o

As a finalist of Great Model Railway Challenge I can tell you that when you add time constraints of 3 days you get this with knobs on!
Hopefully there'll be a load of us from The Swansea Society of Model Engineers there on the Saturday. Looking forward to catching up, and seeing the layout 👍🏻

Listening to the plans you all have I think you should have a look at modules from continent. Like FREMO and others. Less is more.
This was another awesome episode. I loved it.
And I know some things went slightly awrie, but I'm so envious of that friendship shown when you were all together, it seems like regardless of what happens you lot will have a lot of fun. :) it was great to see and hear everyone in a bit more social and relaxed environment.
Ooo there were even more team members this time, and all of the planns are sounding great.
I look farward to more episodes and wish you all well. :)
It's been lovely watching the process! Given me some inspiration for my layout (which is largely a baseboard with track on it 😂)
That you or anyone here can recall, we're there ever any countryside train yards in the UK with or without a turn table? 🤔

I've got Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol, KR Models, Hattons Orginal, Heljan, Rapido, and mostly second hand from Ebay!

Lawrie contact Jenny Kirk she is a expert in building quick build layouts. She may also teach you about PVA and Jay cloth scenery making. I can't wait to see you at the show.

Judging from the fun & games from your attempts to buying the right corkbed (and the laughing involved), Im loving the concepts that all the other's are doing as well as your own. Pity you didn't think to have a narrow guage mine with a transfer yard for the layout. Good luck in completing it on time
Of _course_ Lawrie Rose gets something wrong: he ordered the *N-scale* roadbed instead of the HO/OO!

Your problem is having 3 boards that a odd number if you had four boards you could do seasons so train start in spring pass through summer, fall, and end in winter
There are 9 modules, created from 13 boards I believe
