my money is still on Lawrie baseboard to split in half and now blow every fuse in the joint when they plug it in at the show!
Any idea when No 6 will be available? I'm not rushing you😊. It can be quite difficult leaning fast, can't it?😂 your going to do it!!! Have a shower before the show though!!!😊😊
This makes Mark, Brett, Dusty, and Layton seem _really_ productive!
And that's saying something
@@MrDeeej86 indeed
Although this is turning into a 'how (not) to' I realised while watching that I really couldn't criticise your timing! Cast your mind back to the Slough Model Railway Exhibition last October. One week before the exhibition, (having only had 2 weeks notice) I hadnt started 'repairing' the club model railway to be reliable enough as a 'play' layout for the children. 48 hours (elapsed!) later: baseboards levelled, damaged chunk replaced, boards entirely repainted (including 'ballast' for track bed), all new track laid, and completely rewired. Now capable of sustaining 200mph Hornby HST! Last paint applied at 23:30 the night before. In the morning, arrange all the buildings and scenic items before first visitor! Phew! Was worth the effort as it was a huge success with the visitors.
You can easily do it in time, if you have a week off doing anything else! 😂
Good luck!
I ran into this series by grace of UA-cam Algorithm, and I have to thank it and especially all of you for making my Day. I've been planning and thinking about model railroad for years now, always intimidated to start...But your series just got me with your "It will all somehow work out" and "there is always a way to modify/redo anything" spirit. I already ordered two lasercut baseboards and I can't wait to start building. Thank you so much for this series as it might've just done for me what no other content could for years - Push me forward
I'm really pleased to hear it - look forward to seeing your progress!
Lawrie's work reminds me of my own home-improving efforts....especially the wiring!
Thanks all of you for giving me the smiles that I needed today
You'll make it and now being able to make the show, looking forward to seeing the modules in action
Cripes I hope the Papier Mache dries in time!!
It definitely looks pretty cool. I like the way you did the n scale going around.
You'll be still painting it when we see you Saturday😂
Im not quite sure how to describe Lawries layout building process.... but it FEELS like watching a toddler with a Fischer Price tool kit.....sorry Lawrie! 😂😂😂
love it !
I love the dog helping
Keep it up
Oh cool. Everything is progressing, I think all model railway builders end up working till the last minute, so I'd be no different. Its cool seeing all of the progress and all the different elements to this empire building up :) and ooo, new faces too
I saw one of the Moduls at the Middleton railway while I was volunteering there.
It looked fantastic.
You didn't see 2 of them...
@@Taggart00 Never said I did, thus why I said ”one of the moduls”.
What you could do during the show is improve the scenery (if the scenery is completed). I might pop over and see the layout if I am not too busy helping on the layout I am on.
I didn’t look away!!! It’s painful but it works 😭
Oh dear 😂😂 I think you might have to burn quite a bit of midnight oil to get that ready. Although if the boards aren't completely finished, as long as they function correctly by the weekend you can add details after the show ahead of the next exhibit these modules are on display.
This will be a hit at the show.
Oh what a nice pond.
There's a MINE under it???
needs a sign that says 'don't dig up! It is wet up there'
Fantastic. Ermmmm..... Have you thought of a name for your board Lawrie?? If not may I suggest "Bodge Lodge Pond" that's if you still having the pond.
That's a great name
@@lmm thanks.
It's gonna be close 🇩🇰🙏🏻
We've got some G&H boards in our clubroom in Daventry
At certain points I had to affectionately scream into a pillow … but otherwise a great video as ever! 😂
at so many points Lawries Section reminds me of the reveal of homers BBQ in the simpson
That’s exactly how I’m doing the wiring on my Dublo layout 😂
Papier macher
This series has spurred me to build a modular switching layout. Do I have a space to store or display it? Nope. Will I still make it? Of course, my GP38-2 needs a place to run.
Will Grainge & Hodder be making kits for your layout in thr future????
😂
Which plan number is it so far ? Plan 178b?
Loz, Larry, and Lawrie? You three must get confused!
See you at the Weekend?
Yep!
less than a week is not enough time for anything
Lawrie, Loz and Larry? You need a bit more imagination when you're naming these characters. Yours, Laurie
Judging by your drinks cabinet I can see why your carpentry skills are what they are.
I don't drink!
Honestly I've seen far worse wiring
That must have been a horror
I’ve done worse wiring
a clear case of ability not living up to the planning. I have a ski jump in the track but instead of fixing it just butcher a Roco and a kato
Works though!
