I've hit rock bottom too many times. Each time I hit rock bottom, I somehow managed to get a new start and create some successes. But for some reason, I've yet to maintain a winning path. I'm now 56 years old and am at this present moment experiencing another rock bottom moment in life, hopefully the last one. With a bit of good fortune, I will succeed at turning things around once again. But this time, I will continue on a winning path for the duration of my life.
another best thing about hitting rock bottom is you can actually enjoy every success in your life for a long long time, and in any difficulty you can look back and remember to fuel yourself up again. it also helps a lot with knowing people and seeing what they are quickly.
Twice, first time 25 yrs old. Funny cause the second time I got out of it twice as fast. Just told myself "okay Mario, you've been here before, how did you get out?" There is a system behind it 👊🏼
I hit rock bottom a few times in life. The very bottom was when I had to live in a homeless shelter for a little over a year. It has really helped because I'm like if I do lose everything again then I understand that I can regroup and comeback from anything. I sometimes have fantasies of losing everything and having to start over with the confidence of being succesful that I have now. (not like I have so much now but I'm not homeless ). Thanks for the great FREE videos.
As I've commented before I've hit rock bottom myself due to a lot of different things that I won't bother you with. I fell into a depression lasting years having multiple moments of not wanting to live. It was one of the hardest things I've had to deal with, but through it all it's made me emotionally strong and helped me learn a lot about myself
Hit rock bottoms, get up , improve yourself and achieve the impossible. Prove to yourself first and then the others , thats you are capable. Thanks Patrick
I hit rock bottom 1 1/2 years ago when my younger brother passed. I was 18. It changed my life and I completely agree with everything you just said. I got my first job 1 month after that and knew that I had to create the life I wanted cuz the 9-5 wasn't for me. I've been on my entrepreneurial journey since then and have successfully day traded, opened a lawn care business and flipped cars. I'm on to my next gig now and I honestly feel this is what's going to take me to the next level and open so many doors as well. I really look up to you pat, so thank you!
I'm now at a rock bottom stage, but I won't quit, thank you very much Patrick & Valuetainment for Sharing all of your entrepreneur videos, this is helping me a lot, for a couple of months now your videos are like my North star... it's been my guide in this darktimes on the way to my success!!!
Id call that may be a bad experiance or a little hardship we all face.. You can't hit rock bottom in your early 20s plus still had a car to drive... Rock bottom is when you litterally lost almost everything or in a clinical state of mind-- like being homeless, from a Millionaire to welfare benefits.. I know of people homeless holes in their shoes soaking, sleeping rough.. that's rock bottom. But that person did manage to turn life get a degree and now works a psychotherapist in a leading UK rehab..
I agree Patrick. I hit rock bottom in my 20s. It was easier to recuperate since I was single. I hit rock bottom in my 40s, now have a mortgage kids in college, kids in school and it's tough getting out of a situation like that. Love to hear a topic about getting out of a bad situation like rock bottom.
Barry 1337 Hitting rock bottom will help you see where peoples heart/allegiance is. Oftentimes, people will hide their true feelings towards you because you're the picture of success. I'm sure his "friends" didn't show their true feelings towards him when he was rolling around in the Expedition. Him hitting rock bottom made it easier for them to show their actual thoughts towards him and easier for him to see that they were only fairweather friends. It happens.
Barry 1337 exactly that was some dumb shit! To start with a car is not a sign of success... I've seen a lot of financially successful people driving Prius or less and on the other hand I've see egotistical people who think they're big shot driving all these luxury cars but were struggling to pay that car. Cars are the worst investment they don't hold their values...
Love this message! I'm still wondering weather I've hit a true bottom or not. I've pushed myself so hard that I feel like I've been through a ton of tough times already.
I recently hit rock bottom, I managed to record some of it on my channel for documentation. Rock bottom is only beneficial if you can find a way to handle the pain and strive out of it. Thanks Pat 🙏❤
Completely agree Pat. Awesome video n topic. Specially feel the same on the difference between hitting rock bottom being younger, rather than older. We need failures and adversity in order to actually make significant adjustments in your life. Thank you Pat.
Patrick, your are such a valuable person to entrepreneur community, I care for you and little bit bother for you whenever you do video while driving that to without seatbelt on. please take more care of you ,world needs genuine person like you, thank you. plus the today s content is also good.
Just today I fell like I'm at the rock bottom. And this video notification comes up. Thanks for all this content. Has been very helpful for us. I'll like you to make video about how to manage family business in 2nd generation. It's difficult for me. Best regards
Hitting rock bottom myself right now. Gotta say if I didn't trust that things will get better, I'd probably cry. Seems like everyone is punching me in the face with things I cannot afford and family emergencies/surgeries happening that are forcing me into credit card debt that I tried so hard and worked towards clearing by last Fall. I hope this ends soon because this is worst feeling of my life.
me too, you have a car and a girlfriend possibly some kind of a job so that doesnt seem too much too low. for me rock bottom would be grant cordone rock bottom, totally nothing no gf no house no cars. but i guess everybody has a different level of rock bottom and his was that. having to eat mcdonalds for a while might be rock bottom for you, while for a poor kid in africa it would be the greatest day of his life.
Ur amazing, thank you, you have though us amazing lessons, i can see it in you while ur talking how desperately you want us learn life and be an entrepreneur, always it was in my mind i had this - a real successful person is some one who sets an example and coaches people to become like them, and i saw that in you when i first discovered ur videos last month, thank you again -from India
Why's everyone so focused on that little detail of the story? Im sure it was alot more complex than that. At least from what I got out of it. All Patrick is saying is when he bought that car it was supposed to be a big milestone in his life. Which it was. Maybe a blessing in disguise. But the time you own a car is always a good kind of bookmark in your lifes timeline. Youll always remember a period of time by the car you owned or maybe even the house you lived in. Im sure he got teased for it a little bit but the fact that it was the people closest to him. He decided he didnt want to have that reputation. I think we all hit points like this eventually, All hes saying is its better to happen early but even if it doesnt we have to make a choice at some point to audit ourselves and try to make a difference in our life and in the world.
I still can't get what's the deal with a Ford Focus. I mean, putting things into perspective, there's a bunch of people out there that can't even afford a car at all. Can somebody please explain it to me?
I really can't see it either. Personally, I didn't have a car to drive until recently at 22, and it's a Hyundai Accent. Really happy to have a car and I couldn't care less if other people judged me for it. So, I see it as encouraging because if that's rock bottom for him, mines even lower and it definitely doesn't feel like rock bottom. Only up from here I guess. :D
You call driving a ford focus hitting rock bottom? WTF. Who cares what other people say or think. Hitting rock bottom is truly failing and not being able to anything about it. That's the hardest part. Being in constant emotional stress. But you grow from that. If anything you learn that life always goes on and it'll wake you up to the little things you weren't paying attention to.
Maybe some people are a little confused about what rock bottom is. It's when all your World comes down around you and you are seriously contemplating suicide. You are mentally, physiologically, physically and spiritually messed up for a moment in time and you can't see a way out. Not when you're hungry for a day or 2 or have no money or your girl/boy broke up with you or you were fired from your job.
Hey PBD, will you redo this video with more honesty and detail? I do not believe that a smirk from a friend at a night club or a girlfriend’s dad was the catalyst. I ask because I want to know and I do not believe I’m the only one. Sincerely, JVL
Sumer Singh you should check out Gary Vee here on UA-cam, he talks a bit about degrees and entrepreneurship. Although ultimately no one can really tell you what to pursue as you are the only one who knows what is best for you.

Rosaura Hernandez Thanks rosaura, I'll definitely check his videos out.
wait! hold up! driving a Ford Focus is rock bottom??? I thought rock bottom would be having no car at all. like you can't even afford a used bike. not even a penny. can't even afford toothpaste.
Brian Lee rock bottom is a state of mind...everyones rock bottom is different. There are plenty of financially well off people who hit rock bottom... rock bottom can be triggered by losing a loved one , being abused or by becoming addicted to drugs etc...many different circumstances can bring someone to their own "rock bottom"..

True, hitting rock bottom can be the greatest catalyst for change. Thanks for sharing Patrick
I watched this in the morning & then realized I hit rock bottom this afternoon. Time to grow, take action to make things good. Thanks Patrick.
I understand how hard it is. I faced those days and I recovered from it. Now working towards entrepreneur life. Thanks a lot.

what kind of friends did you have/still have, who judge you by the car you drive ?

Barry 1337 I was just thinking that too - I think it is emphasise for the video though

I'm 16 and running a business and being motivated to go and do school work is really hard, definitely teaching me how to work with my emotions
what kind of buisness?

Very good video Patrick, short and to the point, I love all your videos but some of them I just don't have time to watch them all, Good job!
Great talk mr. Bet-David!
Thank you!
I don't get it, what's wrong with driving a for focus?
me too, you have a car and a girlfriend possibly some kind of a job so that doesnt seem too much too low. for me rock bottom would be grant cordone rock bottom, totally nothing no gf no house no cars. but i guess everybody has a different level of rock bottom and his was that. having to eat mcdonalds for a while might be rock bottom for you, while for a poor kid in africa it would be the greatest day of his life.
Nothing, it's the fact he went from an Expedition to a focus. He downsized. It's like someone who goes from a 3 bedroom home to a studio apartment.
***** thats what makes him great. he talks about it a lot, how he had been poor from age of 8 to 25. and 25 he was at the rock bottom.
+marble89 you must not know Pat's entire story.

what car did you drive before the ford focus that made everyone ask why you're driving a ford focus in 02?
