Good old days. SA is now so much kak. And the worst thing is that I lost my father who had a DR500 in the 80's . Passed away 2023 June 3rd. I bought me a XR500R. Miss the years as a little boy and riding with him.
Nice little video. I still ride my 1980 DR400 that I bought new in 1980 with a student loan. Still hitting the trails in Colorado all these years later.
I have the same Suzuki DR 500 S .... the music is just like the bike rides trough rough terrain and uneven surfaces XD .... they are like jeeps on two weels Respect !!!

Hi Michiel. Just come across this video and read the comments. It's certainly a "feel good" video and reminds me of growing up in what was Northern Rhodesia. A 125 cc BSA Bantam and miles of open bush... An awesome, uncomplicated childhood. I also watched a video a while back, installing an 'Eagle Mike' doohickey on a KLR650. Hier kan ik wat ik wil doen op alle van ongeveer 8000 hectare groot open terrein. Het moet gezegd worden hoewel dat Zuid-Afrika en de rest van het Afrikaanse continent heeft zeer leanient regels op te stellen. Kijk bijvoorbeeld naar mijn meer recente video's over hoe we rijden enduro-motorfietsen dwars door de bergen in Lesotho.

Hi Michiel, a nice machine, nice video.... but absolutely irresponsible and brainless, to drive without any driving gear and helmet and without any proper driving skills. Don't be angry, but i guess, your childhood was a little bit too careless... in your Enduro-Dreamland. Best regards
