So...has anyone had the nutplate fall inside the quarter panel? How do you get that sucker back in its hole to screw in the tail light? I already have one thats missing at the bottom, so I cant leave the tail light mounted iwth just one bolt. I did fish out the nut, but I dont see how it was staying inside its hole to begin with...any ideas?
@@FreeznOffRoad I did figure out HOW its meant to. It just wont do it. Not without the second round of a blood offering. I wonder if RTV will hold the tail light in. Im kind of done with this thing.
Umm OK, This might sound like a stupid question but, I just bought these style lights. They were never part of the XJ package here in Australia. We had the Euro style ones. So my question is, which section in the upper part is for the break light and which section is for the running tail light? I'll need to find someone to splice in a new light just for the tail light. I guess I can use my Fog light wires since there is no spot for them, on a low watt work light
Well I actually think the running lights are also the brake lights.... they brighten when you brake and then dull down after you let go. Aren't they at the top portion of the light?
@@FreeznOffRoad yeah same here in 'Straya. what confuses me is the the 2 different compartments, with the lower one having the T10 wedge bulb off to the side. I can use the fog light twist lost and splice into the running light wire. Was just wondering if the break/running light was top and just running light below is or vice versa
Bad idea. Illegal in almost all American states. If you ever get rear ended it will be your fault because of the tinted lights. Ask me how I know. Think about that if you ride with kids.
@@FreeznOffRoad If one must do this then buy "super bright" LED replacement bulbs. By tinting the plastic you're greatly reducing the illumination and depending on the person behind you, it can be ugly. It doesn't make it legal but could very well keep someone from plowing into you. Especially your reverse lights if you ever go offroad and you need that backup light, unless you're running aftermarket bumper lights.
This is exactly the xj channel I'm lookin for!! I subbed bro, keep up the awesome work
