- This is the terrifying moment sparks fly from a Ryanair jet after its nose wheel collapsed while landing at Dublin airport. An emergency was declared after the plane landed, with officials saying the aircraft had experienced a 'minor issue' with its landing gear. No injuries were initially reported after the Ryanair flight arrived from Liverpool, as video emerged showing a stream sparks flying from the front wheel of the aircraft as it landed on Sunday afternoon. The video clip then showed emergency crews rushing to the plane.

Pictures taken after the plane had come to a halt showed the front wheel and its landing mechanism completely crumpled underneath.

New Ryanair initiative where passengers need to pay extra if they want a front landing wheel
u wrong for that one🙏🏻💀🙏🏻
🤣🤣🤣👍👍
Due to lack of experience / flying hours of Ruinair's pilots !!!
@@staminawolf You are unredeemable at this point if you think this has anything to do with experience/flying hours. Out of the thousands of flights Ryanair conducts every day for many decades now, how many crashes have they had?
I was at the airport at the time. I was sitting in an AirLingus A320 destined for Dusseldorf, Germany when this happened. Though I did not see the landing itself, as we where backing off the Gate towards the Taxiway at the time I could see the first responders rushing out to the 737 that I could just make out through the window. We weren't told what exactly happened, just that there was an incident and that we would delay for about 30 minutes as the Runway was closed. It turned out to be a bit longer of a delay.
Hope all the passengers are fine and could go on about their day without much hassle.
A front landing gear problem. Not as big of a deal as the title makes it out to be considering what played out.
Probably no tread left on the tyre 😂, every penny counts with this tight fisted airline lol
@@tomosa6880 Yup you are a true🤡
@@tomosa6880 tight fisted airline who’ve over 80 new aircraft delivered and 130 more on the way…not to mention one of the youngest fleets in Europe…yeah tight fisted 😂😂😂
Great emergency landing. Well done pilot.
exactly
Another successful landing by Ryan Air!
In the training books of Ryanair, that's called as butter smooth landing 😂😂
Wrong, It's actually the rare exception because Ryanair of all airlines can't afford to damage the equipment, they would have to deduct it from the cleaner's wages and send hunters to Africa to catch some child laborers to balance off the losses.
It's Ryanair so the managers must be going crazy right now shouting something like: "What? Who's idea was it to send the firefighters and rescue team?!!! How are we supposed to pay for it all? Our flight attendants will take care of it and the repair cost will be deducted from the wages of the cleaners."
Dublin Airport's Safety Record Remain's Unblemished...Congratulation's to the Pilot's and Controller's also the Emergency Response Team's who brought this Near Miss to a Safe conclusion.
Not sure about that... thankfully from an aircraft and passengers/crew perspective it's true, but unfortunately a few ground staff have been killed in accidents over the last few years :(
You have to pay extra for a nose gear.
The amount of RyanAir memes over here, I just got this video recommended for no reason, But I only came here to read the comments, No regrets 😂😂😂😂❤😆
Scary!
Thank you for flying ryanair
Nothing unusual. Just normal Ryanair things.
Seems they've fixed that loose drain on the road
Luckily no passengers were seated outside on the wings when this emergency landing took place.
Most smooth Ryanair landing
Bro my mom works at Dublin airport and she told me about it
The Hardest landing in Ryanair history
Flight 4102?
Bravo, aux pilotes ‼️♾⁉️
It'll buff out.
Memories of JetBlue Flight 292
Yet another impressive manufacturing of the nose gear to carry the plane without the wheel. Very impressive
Daily Ryanair Landing LOL!
knowing ryanair they would take 2 wheels off a car in the scrap yard, tape two pogo sticks together, put the wheels in the pogo sticks, and let the plane be shed like that
Hard to believe the trolls on here. The crew did a brilliant job, as did the emergency services
well....the emergency services did absolutly nothing at all.....only running high speed on the runway.....
Whenever you smile
En caso así no es normal que el grupo de emergencia se demoren tanto
Did they bill the Pax for the bus to the terminal, charge extra to get bags back, add the tyre cost on the next flight booking?????
A typical Ryanair travel
I thought dublin airport had more than 1 runway
I feel bad for Ryan Air's landing gears.
Suduk to the pilot here
“Terrifying moment” come on 🤦♂️
All this nonsense about hard landings.. Landing gear is supposed to take a beating, its designed for it.. This was a failure.. A failure happens to everything every day all the time.. Cant remove variables like that, nothing to do with hard landings.. I've flown on Ryainair before and never said that was a hard landing.. There not in the business of trying to break aircraft are they !!
Unfortunately, there's this thing called common sense that a lot of people don't have. Either that or they're trying to be funny but ending up looking foolish because these Ryan Air "jokes" are getting old and worn out.
the nose gear had to break at some point
Had to?
@@JayJayAviation Silly Ryanair joke I believe
At least everyone was ok but I’m not shocked to what happened bc Ryanair’s landings are a bit harsh 😂
Average Ryanair landing
There will be sparks if you have no tyre !! What do you expect for £9.99 flight ?
O'Leary now seeking payment for celebratory return home fireworks display.
Better than a typical Ryanair landing, that in itself is newsworthy. I wonder how muchthey charged for the passengers to be picked up from the runway :D
Ryanair hard landings again what do you expect 😂
At least this time they actually had to do one
@@willturner5563 last time I flew with Ryanair the hard landing caused me back pain and I swore I'd never fly with them again
how hard the landing is wouldn't affect the front gear, its a tyre blowout, happens to many airlines.
@@callummcdowell7415 Ryanair have a reputation just search UA-cam about it and read the comments
@@grimreaper1149 they have a reputation as they recruit many new pilots. All airlines make hard landings, and sometimes a hard landing is needed on shorter runways to stop the aircraft. Again, hard landings have no contribution to what happened to this flight, the tyre just blew out.
I was there
Thats what probably happens after constantly landing hard
a hard landing would only affect main gear, not front. it was a tyre blowout.
I'm not even surprised with the cheap ryanair £10 flights
Flash in the pan
"Ladies and Gentlemen this is your Captain speaking. We have to apologise profusely for this unusually smooth landing. As you know we pride ourselves on how we do our landings. And our record is second to none. We have been informed that our nose gear has collapsed on landing. But please do not be alarmed as our highly trained crew will disembark the aircraft and go to the Hold and take out the Jack and Spare Nose Gear.
As you know over 90% of Ryan Air flights arrive on time. We hope you come fly with us again so you too can experience what it is like to have a Shot Down Landing."

Do you expect everything to go perfectly forever?
"suppose to be safety" How many people were injured?
Two nose wheels are not people.

Why did it take the rescue so long to respond?
It was like 60 seconds. That’s insanely fast
