    Best description I've heard about remembering what muscles are lengthened vs tightened is to look at your body as a zipper.

      @@danielkott1119 imagine you have an anterior pelvic tilt... look at your body from the side and zig-zag your tight and lengthened muscles up and down your body. They'll fit together like a "zipper" in a sense.

    I love ur videos! Question-if u have pronated muscles (or any muscles that are tight), would u avoid building those muscles-bc they would only make them tighter?

    • @rebelwithadream3303
      @rebelwithadream3303  Рік тому +1

      Initially, Yes !!! I would start by stretching and loosening up the tight muscles and then strengthening the opposite (antagonists) muscles.
      Example - If my chest muscles were tight, I would first release them through foam rolling, lacrosse ball massage, static stretches, etc. Then I would strengthen the back muscles (rhomboids, rear delts, lower traps, rotator cuff, etc). Or else, the chest muscles will become tight again and go back to that same posture. So once a new range of motion and mobility is achieved, I will now try to strengthen the chest through a controlled range of motion (with good posture and technique).
      Think about it like this - If I completely stopped training my chest , eventually it will atrophy and become weak.
      It's just that I would restrain from training them full on till the imbalances are fixed, posture has improved and I am able to do the pushing movements pain free with a good range of motion.
      By the way, good question Maureen 👍
