Alpha rays from the sun defuse chlorophyllic molecules at a rate 6 times faster then none alpha micro incondecent electrons become fused with protons giving it that sweet summer flavor. So now you know.
You would add the strawberries after. You can even chop up the strawberries and let them sit in the fridge until your tea is ready. By then the strawberries should have created a little syrup and will add more of a strawberry flavor that if you just chop them up immediately put them in your tea.
What if you run into an issue where you the tea bags are already sitting in the water. The sun only has an hour until sits....should i put the gallon in the fridge and wait til next norning for the sun to rise?
Yes. I love that they have the gallon size tea bags these days for the caffeinated tea. Still haven't found the gallon size for the decaffeinated tea. I need to go back and add that little detail to my description. Thank you.
Luzianne decaffeinated is the best tasting tea to my family. Has been for 30 years. Ever since we accidentally bought it in the large bags for sun tea. Ice tea having caffeine was never the draw anyway.
I I remember my dad making sun tea in the summer, really not sure why it is so good being in the sun but it does make it taste good :)
Thanks for sharing! I love that sun tea bring up good memories for us.

I remember making sun tea as a kid. Now, it's cold brewed.
good teaching moment. Good parenting.
I usually just boil the tea bags in a pot over the stove. Now I learned that room temp tea is better.
What about making it with strawberries? Would I add the strawberries to the jar and put it out in the sun? Or add it when I bring in the Sun tea?

Interesting question. I can’t say I know the answer to that. I’ve always done it at the hottest part of the day.

8 small single bags or 1 large gallon size bag
I would use decaf tea, green tea, or herbal teas.
Great Idea! I need to do this with my herbal tea this summer. I bet it will be perfection.
It doesn't hurt to try. Give it a shot.
