Lol the look on Mako, Bolin and Tonraq's faces when Korra goes after Zahear, rising up in the air with fire under her feet,
If it wasn’t for the poison, Korra would have defeated Zaheer in a minute.
I dont think she would have been able to. Zaheer has the power of flight, and Korra wouldnt be in the Avatar state so he would be able to overpower her with a flurry of airstrikes until she lost her stamina
@@daimyo1178 maybe not a minute, but definitely faster than this. During this fight she was only in the avatar state because the poison (fighting it off), so if she wasnt poisoned logically she would have had more stamina pre and during the avatar state and it wouldnt have begun to cut off

I still think Korra would of been defeated by Zaheer. She's always hot tempered when she fights thus losing concentration therefore losing the fight.
@@Æəæə Thats true. Zaheer is extremely calm and concentrated, he can exploit Korra's weaknesses, and would have tired her out by flying around and striking her swiftly with blasts of wind. He is a superior fighter.

That was retconned in LoK Book 2.
Now,the actual source of the Avatar State is Raava, who is an extremely powerful Spirit and the literal embodiment of light and peace in the Universe.
And the actual role of the past lives is to counsel the current Avatar whenever he or she needs it.
Also,they provide the knowledge and skill to the current Avatar while he or she is in the State.
The elemental sphere Aang creates while in the State
is not his technique. It is that of Wan,the First Avatar.
So Raava provides the powers and boost
And the past lives provide the knowledge of how to use them.

The girl is poisoned, not in control, the fact that she was able to fight off poison that was supposed to kill her while fighting the a powerful air bender than can fly proves it wasn’t nurfed. Zaheer is way stronger than Ozai and just like this fight Aang wasn’t in control and was also being amped by sozin’s comet. You saw how easy it was for korrs to defeat the other members of the red lotus. She literally displays great feats in the avatar state, including when she blocked the spirit vine energy and created a spirit portal. Was the avatar state nurfed when Azula killed Aang in it. Stop being biased and use logic kid.

@@ElementMucho Such excuses apply to this fight only, in the entirety of the show Korra's avatar state barely evokes massive bending and it's not as if she compensates with technique as Unalaq or the twins do since Korra mostly bends as if she was a street fighter - which show production laziness more than anything. Benders in LOK mostly don't bend with traditional fighting styles, not even the masters. It makes stuff like Tenzin complaining about the fighting rings laughable because he also doesn't use tradicional stances.
I assume the "kid" is some form of ad hominem which already shows you're too emotionally invested to forget what you wrote just before, to use logic.
The Avatar state was nerfed. Korra's biggest material displayes of bending with the Avatar state on - water/ice and airbending against Kuvira's mecha • earthbending against Zaheer • airbending to slow her fall after reuniting with Raava - are on the same level as the air + water and firebending she uses in the middle of the ocean against the twins and spirit while not being on Avatar State so her bending capability is not greatly enhanced, it's barely changed (if anything at all). It shows how incredibly inconsistent this show is when it comes to the dimension of her bending as she's either making unremarkable Avatar State bending or orchestrating the absolutely off the charts, unfathomably overpowered creation of a portal through energy bending. It's very nerfed on material bending while being extremely buffed on energy bending.
As a whole it's simply a mess.

For me as character KORRA is the best she is not a mary sue, has actual flaws, acts like a normal dumb teenager (their brains aren't fully developed yet) and becomes a wise adult & avatar.
My top avatars are: Korra and Kyoshi.
Fav characters: Korra, Kyoshi, Zuko, Zaheer, Kuvira, Toph, Katara, Asami - I also think these characters are the best written ones in both shows, the other characters are either too shallow or perfect).

@@pretendtheresaname9213 because the red lotus(Zai Bao/Xai Bao, Zaheer, Unalaq, Pli, Ming Hua, Ghazan) branched out from the white lotus, whos members(Iroh, Paku, Jong Jeong and Bumi; among others shown in LOK) had vast and extensive knowledge that bridged the divide of each nation(likely including how the Avatar State works and variance in how the spirit world operates). We don't know the complete origins of the white lotus or the growth the red lotus went through once they broke off.
The only thing I can think that's just as scary or powerful as Korra is when aang was in the avatar state while fighting firelord ozai

Although the series wasn't as good as the original, it had some pretty good arcs like the zaheer one which was my favorite (although the original still knocks it out of water I still appreciate it ) the fight scene was fantastic and the last scene where korra throws zaheer down is always awesome to look at.

I still believe Aang is WAY stronger than Korra. he had to master everything him self without having any one really guide him or teach him after his kin were all wiped out, where as Korra had multiple teachers and still struggled with everything...Just imagine if Aang had a teacher for each element from the start. Well, Korra learned from better teachers, but before she even turned 5 she already knew how to bend 3 of the elements without a teacher. Aang only knew how to airbend before his friends taught him the other elements. Aang had to not only learn to control the elements, but to bend them at all. Korra already figured it out herself. She only had to learn how to control the elements. (Also, sorry if my English is not the best, because it's not my first language). And why are you even here if you think Korra "sucks"? Just let people love Korra. Is it really that hard to shut up and keep your offensive opinions to yourself?
