As a mexican girl that has heard a million versions of this song I can say I cried and am in love with yours 😍 your pronunciation is so on point 💫 precioso :3
i know you’ve supported my channel for a while already, so seeing your comment when i was already nervous about how this video would be received means the world to me. thank you so much. 🥺💕
Mexican here, very nice indeed, you can hardly hear the English settlement, I am surprised by the correct pronunciation of the lyrics, very precise and the truth is that it is a work to be admired. (sorry for the possible bad spelling but I'm using Google translate: 3)
you probably get the "i am mexican and this is pure perfection" a lot but its just,,, the truth this is the best cover I've heard, it carries so much feelings and emotions with each lyric your voice is beautiful and the pronouncation is perfect not even hispanic artists are able to carry so much feelings through this song honestly wish i had discovered this masterpiece earlier, 10/10★
la llorona is not an Angela Aguilar song, she did just a cover. the song is a mexican flok song without an author, but the common knoledge says that Andrés Henestrosa made a compilation of different rimes in order to have the actual song. Angela Aguilar just did a cover... so it would be better if you take the name of angela from the name of the song. by the way, what a lovely cover you did
As a mexican who loves this song to death * wink * , my goodness what an amazing cover, you can hardly hear the accent there, it's so well pronounced and you sang it beautifully. Amazing job! 💜✨
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL????? THE WAY YOUR VOICE JUST SCRATCHES THAT MUSICAL ITCH there’s been so many different ways to hear this song but this has to be one of the best version out there! it’s just so haunting in the best way

I love that you gave some reads on la Llorona. I had heard the name before but never knew anything about it. (except after reading the folklore history that she was used as an inspiration for the lady in white for one of the first episodes of supernatural.) I love your cover, its very soothing.
This is beautiful. I honestly cannot even. I feel silly for trying to sing the disney version after this. This is honestly magnificent beyond what i can describe
Esta re gueno :3 Am not mexican, but i really love hearing such a beautiful performance in spanish, especially when is a song so representative of our fellow latinoamerican brothers's culture. Saludos desde Chile 😉 🇨🇱
it’s actually my goal to cover that song one day! i’m obsessed with a lot of the covers i’ve heard of it, so i definitely wanna do my own version of it one day (while also probably showcasing two of my OCs). i may need to sing a MUCH lower version of it though, at least lower in terms of what’s typical for a female rendition of this song. while i am a mezzo, my belting range is limited. i hope there’s still interest in a cover of that song though despite mine likely not having the known show stopping high notes. 💕
@@JustinesMic Well, if/when you decide to release your own version, I'll definitely check it out. If your other covers are anything to go by, it'll definitely be worth it.
Okay HOW haven't i heard this cover before. The feeling in your voice and the way you incorporate Mexican style vocalisations laid me flat on my back within the first thirty seconds immmm As for the details you mentioned in the description, these are the ones i saw: -Mexican: the hairstyle and sugar skull makeup, the bunting, and the golden flowers (i keep forgetting their name) -Filipino: the María Clara dress was perhaps the most obvious, but I'm almost convinced the hairstyle is a fusion... I don't know if the flowers, especially the small star shaped ones, are meant to represent something in that regard; i know that chrysanthemums represent death in both Mexico and the Philippines -Queer identity: the sugar skull makeup is done in the bi flag colors. I'm going to go on a limb and say the lavender color of the María Clara is a reference to that color (and flower) being used by the sapphic community. The art was a masterpiece, and combined with your voice... You managed to get up in my favorite version only a little bit behind Chavela Vargas!
what a wonderful rendition of the song. I love all the details in the art especially the bi makeup, I might copy that the next time I draw myself as a catrina
Your voice is perfect!!! Sounds pretty similar to the Angela herself To add, your spanish is GOD TIER, it sounds native :'D. Gracias for this magnificent cover!!!
Que hermosa voz! Me encantaaaa! I’m here because of your cover with Reinaeiry of a whole new world from Aladdin. I just loved your voice and what a surprise I got when I found this cover while I was searching for your channel. It makes me so excited as a Mexican to hear this. This cover is amazing and you’re pronunciation it’s impressive, not only you said every word correctly, you also kept the intension and the feeling of the song. I simply loved it.
The Carmen Goett version is my favorite version of "La Llorona" that I have heard across the global catalogue of music. The instrumental and the dramatic chorus of (your) voices in the background add a certain haunting quality. Your voice is perfect for singing this song.
is that the bi flag i spy? adore this, it sounds incredible (i don't speak spanish at all but i can tell this is amazing) love your songs! (ps the art for this is stunning)
