I love all of you doing the classic BMX .. Hope you can rebuild some classic Haro bike which is i own before back in the 90s.. Also i had the megatube frame that time hope to see how the proper fix with bike.. Good job bro
Its a 86 Dyno comp because it has 2 plates behind the seat tube and framestand. 85's have 2 plates instead of 2 on the framestand. The front has the flat spots so the wheel cant fly off as easy if it comes off for safety. The bars look like haro bars but painted white. Dam shame he's missing the Epoch cap, unless it had the racing one that dont work with the gyro and he took it off. After seing the rest of the vid to the end WHAT!!! The title says it all.😂😂 Its still kinda cool.
Those are definitely not Haro bars. They do look like GT bars but keep in mind, that there were and still are a lot of knock-offs of that GT bar design.
I did this a few weeks back i cleaned up the bearings with acitone but i removed my bearings with a magnet i service my wheels every 4 months as i do lots of mileage and they live outside in uk weather . Love the tandem dyno aint ever seen one 🤘
The front axel has that slot for safety, so that the wheel doesn’t pop out or loosen while doing tricks. They also made safety washers that you insert into the fork, in the old/mid school freestyle BMXs to also prevent this.
I respect that build bro. It would be cool to have two classics in tact if possible but you have to agree there has to be no other like this in the world. What bicycle enthusiast in their right mind would refuse to ride or own a bike like this? I think it’s awesome!!! Great job! If u want an original restoration then build it but if u want an original masterpiece that’s out of this world that matches you and your lifestyle then build that too. Go for it. I love it!!!!! It’s all in what u love and what puts the biggest smile on your face. What everyone else thinks doesn’t matter. I wish I still had my 92 or 93 Dyno GT I don’t remember exactly what year it was. 🤦🏻. Boy do I feel stupid now for getting rid of it as a teenager. I traded it for an rc car. What a dummy I was. I was just ab to get my drivers license so I wasn’t worried about a bike. But if I knew then what I know now I would have definitely held onto it since that bike slept indoors with me. It never slept outside or in the garage. It was almost mint and I wish I would’ve kept it. I will definitely try to buy another one day if I can find one for the right price.
😁😁. Traded my custom mongoose californian (chrome) in with sealed bearing 48 spokes, haro front fork with screw in pegs, laid back post for a rc10L with 2 motors. Mid 90's wave. Lol. Enjoy all the old school 80's & 90's bmw. 🤘🏼
Repacking bearings it's where it started for me, most of the times it would be replacing ball bearings and cups or the nuts that sit on the spheres, as I was into mountain biking and still am rear hubs where always a liability, from time to time I would have to get in there and do this, I watch your content I wonder what is the story of that green Santa Cruz you have hanging is it a v10? I also do fork and shock absorber maintenance, You really show cool stuff, but yeah I agree with you kind of a sacrilege to do this with 2 bikes...
So why wouldn't you remove the freewheel when repacking that hub? Were you able to put it back together and still get a cone wrench on the adjustable cone?
I have a couple of GT NORA CUP frames one is cracked behind the bottom bracket (83) and the other is cracked on the down tube (82). Thanks for the idea.
It's like an exotic car with a salvaged title, it's still cool, but when you realize what has been sacrificed to make this has happen you shed a little tear.
Can you make a video about mag wheels and oldschool freestyle caliper breaks ? I can get these damn breaks to work proper on my skyway wheels and i cant find any videos dialing oldschool freestyle breaks - espeically the front break with hollow stem :D
front and rear are designed for different axle sizes - rear is 10mm and front dropout s are designed for 3/8 or 9.5 in mm but in some cases manufacturers put 10mm front and rear (probably easier and cheaper to buy a tonne of 10mm axles in bulk) so the edge/side of the axle needs grinding down to fit in the front! same things with older cheaper road town bikes/fixies/ track bikes- 26 and 27inch wheels.
@Phu Hey what’s up, you definitely found one here, I’ve never seen or heard of a DYNO Tandem B.M.X. like that, it’s outstanding. It reminds me of the old MONGOOSE SIDE CART B.M.X. when they use to race them, and also take it in the skate park super rare and funny, they wouldn’t do it nowadays, they’d say ( Oh we don’t have enough Chrome Moly it’s too rare, it’s too expensive ). Oh and it’s ( Epoch ) pronunciation with an ( O ) WOW RADICAL MAN, FAR OUT DUDE………👾👾👾👾🛸🛸🛸🛸👾👾👾………!!!
Yo..Whatever makes YOU happy!..I hear the same thing with people getting bust down watches "You destroyed a classic!".. But THE OWNER LOVES IT.. Life's Short, Death's Long..So Whatever!.. If YOU want it?...DO IT!
If it was two broken frames and brought back to life as a tandem, then that’s cool. Also when was it made a tandem? Back in the day when these frames were plentiful and a dime a dozen? To make that now with two perfectly good frames then nahh. Depleting history as these frames are getting harder to find.
Hello, I’m the original owner of a Factory Kuwahara Kz1. It’s pretty much “as raced”, except for the chain, and tires. I’m currently out of the country returning in 2025. When I return, Where or to whom do I got to get the bike appraised?
They where prob thrashed or it was built when the frames wasnt worth that much i remember in the 90s id pick up dynos and gts for £10/15 in the uk and thats for a rideable bike
i swear yo... when i saw the extra dyno in the backend i legit thaught i was trippin a little tooooo hard yooo!!!! 😅😅😅😅, im guessing the frames broke and they braught them back to life... oooomggg what a joyy!!!... awww..thats sweet sweet love right there. nice build! all we need is a baby dyno build! lol hell yeah ill drink another shot to that! judging from the age of the build im guessing gay couple? not sure tho.. ive had my share of strong female rider lady friends also, check out the "rad film" (im a millenial by the way ) daaang. what you guys think comment in the reply section BEE low!
Wow lol definitely different an cool you don't see this at all.. I give it 👍👍 but yeah on the other hand them poor Dyno s 😢😢...I always had the parts bike I never had one completely new bike ..white GT handle bars an Chrome diamond back frame . blue GT forks dominator seat chrome lean back diamond back seat post
It kinda sucks right now but in 15-20 years it will be pretty rare even though it is already....BMX shouldn't be made tandem but hey.... people with money get bored too... Difference is they're financially strapped!
dude that bearing catch was too nonchalant those fkers are notorious for disappearing but you straight up did the impossible and found it before it even hit the floor
100% NOT SACRILEGIOUS IF: Both Dynos were already expired or broken. If someone was just trying to salvage two of the same bike, how is this bad. If they purposely destroyed even just one of those bikes to create the tandem, then I can understand your argument. But you need to know the context
I think it's a cool bite man but think about it you destroy it too good fight to make one I understand why you think it's just wrong move but he did do something that that haven't been done before you got to look at it like this it's suit his tape thank you
I agree with you. The concept is very cool and looks very unique but I would never destroy a beautiful Dyno classic freestyle frame to make that.
Omg noooooo waaaay dude. Never would I ever sacrifice two old school dynos. Im with ya Phu
I love it that this is a o pro BMX shop, but there is not one flat open space to work.
I love all of you doing the classic BMX ..
Hope you can rebuild some classic Haro bike which is i own before back in the 90s..
Also i had the megatube frame that time hope to see how the proper fix with bike..
Good job bro
I come for Alf's crazy video titles but stay for the Phu (and Ethan cameos).
Phu NAILED it , mixed feelings for sure. that bike is dope but dayum the sacrifice that was made to build it. awesome vid thanks for posting

I like the 17 mm crescent wrench.👍
I remember seeing one at a bike shop. Back in 1986. It was green. With all the Gt parts.
“Oh my god.. get on with it” 😂😂😂
Wild love it, The things we did back in the day hahaha memories but great times. Back then there was no emotions
You would get punched in the shoulder really hard and called a pu$$/.
So far I've heard Phu call the spanner wrench a "Spaniard" and now a "spanyesh" lol I fucin luv this dude
I did this a few weeks back i cleaned up the bearings with acitone but i removed my bearings with a magnet i service my wheels every 4 months as i do lots of mileage and they live outside in uk weather .

Man, I forgot all about those washers. What else have I forgotten? Must I know?!
I love how the chainrai gs are so concentric to allow for a constant chain tension. Musta taken a lot of work to get it to run so out of tension.
I should come over and bring the Auburn tandem
I want to see phu and al ride that thing together
yes, and try to tandem wheelie
I’m with it
16 inch TT in rear 😂 - lil kids only

I love it! Now I want to find 2 old beaters and make one.

i have a spilt barks on my 20 fs can you make videos ty
i need know how to fix it my bakes is not working
Phu is on a mission in this video got his hair all slick too
What do you suggest putting between the fork standers and the fork to keep grip, but save the paint?
Maybe pieces of old inner tubes..
I'm new to this where's the shop at
16483 Magnolia St. Westminster, CA 92683
Thanks meet you soon
Meet you soon
How do you work in those conditions? I’m not super clean either. But you can’t even find a clear area to put the wheel........🤔
😅😅😅
Crazy ending... that was epic!
So why wouldn't you remove the freewheel when repacking that hub?
Were you able to put it back together and still get a cone wrench on the adjustable cone?
Wow, can’t believe they did that. I would never do that to such a great bike.
I couldn’t sacrifice a Dyno like that, it would hurt me to much! I think it’s cool that your customer did it,but I wouldn’t. I really love the video!!
Been a minute finally back
@ 3:04 First time with a new girl... So excited... 😂
Can you make a video about mag wheels and oldschool freestyle caliper breaks ? I can get these damn breaks to work proper on my skyway wheels and i cant find any videos dialing oldschool freestyle breaks - espeically the front break with hollow stem :D
Experiment with different brake pads. See what Kool Stop brand has available. Chrome rims have the best braking grip.
@@AmazingChinaToday Thank you for the advice :) Gonna try the kool stop :)
wooooow that is one badass bike i gotta say since its done really well i like it.

It's awesome but I could never commit to doing that to pieces of history
That was a very good reveal
Pretty cool and hopefully they were 2 damaged frames to make it. But very cool concept.
Arrrrrrg! I had a lot of nice bikes back then, but the first was my 85 Maui blue Dyno compe. I can find one for any decent price...
Dope 1of1
You guys should ride the skate park with it.
If it was two broken frames and brought back to life as a tandem, then that’s cool. Also when was it made a tandem? Back in the day when these frames were plentiful and a dime a dozen? Both cool and sacrilegious. 😮
Haha. Ethan. Can I have another 20 bucks with a smile!! Lol bro!
I'm not 100% but I think those lower wider bars are the GT/Dyno Martin Apparillo bars
🤔 on the fence .. but weirdly cool 😎
🥳🥳
Yoooo love the bike!
I’ll give you 100 bucks if you do a wheelie with that!! 😁👍
200 if he can pop up into a cherry picker🤣🍒🤙
It’s on
I’ll risk it all for $300 😂
@@BerserkerNick 🤣 absolutely!!
At least it wasn't a Gt Performer Pro Tour. Looks neat but I wouldn't do it. Makes the dyno's more rare. Just my thoughts. Keep up the great vids.
That yellowbird hot sauce is so damn good
Phu missed his chance to get Ethan to be his rear rider for a cool dub
Hello,
I’m the original owner of a Factory Kuwahara Kz1. It’s pretty much “as raced”, except for the chain, and tires.
I’m currently out of the country returning in 2025. When I return, Where or to whom do I got to get the bike appraised?
I love old mags
Do more vlog type stuff
It's like taking 2 identical retro iconic sports cars and making it into a limousine. While I think it's lame, I don't own it, so oh well.
that front half is a late 90s frame
The bikes are saved. It’s better than the landfill.👍
For more information this was done in 2012 for the summer build off on bmx museum
They were both probably broken already
They where prob thrashed or it was built when the frames wasnt worth that much i remember in the 90s id pick up dynos and gts for £10/15 in the uk and thats for a rideable bike
I was probably made in the 90’s when Dyno’s were cheap and no one wanted them.
As someone whose first real bike was an 89 Dyno VFR, honestly, this was just sad to see.
It's different but I'm also sad to see two ruined for this.
Thats cool.
i swear yo... when i saw the extra dyno in the backend i legit thaught i was trippin a little tooooo hard yooo!!!!
My friend cracked the headtube on his 87 Dyno detour. It may have devalued the bikes but eh whatever
It’s one of a kind
Good or bad idea doesn't matter what matters is that we need to see one of you guys do a cherry picker on that dyno
Or a miami hopper.
Dino G.T.with white on white skyway mags, right
Wow lol definitely different an cool you don't see this at all.. I give it 👍👍 but yeah on the other hand them poor Dyno s 😢😢...I always had the parts bike I never had one completely new bike ..white GT handle bars an Chrome diamond back frame . blue GT forks dominator seat chrome lean back diamond back seat post
I want to see a tandem backflip
I think that bike would have had a acs rotor not a gyro?
Wow this brings back memories
# kids of the 80s
I need a mag rim to duy 😢
This bike is SSSWWWEEEEEEETTT
How much
DOPE!!!!
I wouldn't cut up two perfectly good Dynos, but NGL, i would pay good money to see someone pull a cherry picker on that bike!!!
It hurts to see those old frames cut up but I'm sure at the time it was made it wasn't worth what it is today.
This was done in 2012 for a cover build off on bmx museum
Always great videos
Bootleg scam Alfred stay away
It kinda sucks right now but in 15-20 years it will be pretty rare even though it is already....BMX shouldn't be made tandem but hey.... people with money get bored too... Difference is they're financially strapped!
Who in they're right mind would think that is ok to do... 🤦🤦🤦
9 balls per side if I remember correctly?
We're gonna just say that both frames were clapped and it was better to do this then fix two cracked frames. I'll sleep better that way 😅
NOOO...
the gd thing is you can make it back to one...
dude that bearing catch was too nonchalant those fkers are notorious for disappearing but you straight up did the impossible and found it before it even hit the floor
Maybe pop that freewheel off first?
It would be cool if they used two trashed unusable bikes. But I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze. These bikes are rare enough as it is.
It’s cool and I hate it at the same time .
I had a bad ass Dyno I was proud of.
I have a ?
Are they so rare in “2021”
That it’s sac religious to make this?
It’s sac religion for shizzle bros it would be like taking 2 93 hb condors nope 👎 I’ll keep the two bikes lol 😂
They ruined 2 Dynos to make that abomination? Disgraceful!
100% NOT SACRILEGIOUS IF: Both Dynos were already expired or broken. If someone was just trying to salvage two of the same bike, how is this bad. If they purposely destroyed even just one of those bikes to create the tandem, then I can understand your argument. But you need to know the context

Eh, do what you want with an '86...now if it were an 87 or 88 I'd feel differently
I think it's a cool bite man but think about it you destroy it too good fight to make one I understand why you think it's just wrong move but he did do something that that haven't been done before you got to look at it like this it's suit his tape thank you
