Looks like a motorcycle without the fuel tank and engine, which makes me like the fact that it's foldable! All in all, I hope your princess loves her two-wheeled bird!
This was my also childhood bicycle. This models was selling as name Pinokyo (Pinocchio) in Türkiye. Our friendship had to end when it's fork had broken. And there was a saddle bag on it.
I just inherited one of these mines a bit newer it has 1 sticker that says made in Romania March 1991. It has a spring loaded clamp on the back that holds stuff on the back bed. also has a leather pouch under the seat. Otherwise it's the to the same bike.
You daughter will really like it or hate if=t because it's not like her friends bike or they make fun of it. You know how kids are!! It looks great and a wonderful job of restoring it as well!!! Enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
In my opinion the white bands would look very nice, but it would not keep the original look. That's why it shouldn't even have white text. The entire tire should be black.
As child I had a girls bike too has a boy, is no shame in that, we're poor and had no choice, as a teenager raise some money and buy my own men's bike 😉
A lot of these types of bicycles, along with Dawes Kingpins and Raleigh Twenties, were originally intended to be unisex, and for any member of the family to ride, but they have acquired an unfair reputation as only being for females.
This bike is almost perfect. It was very easy to assemble. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx2YFGCCEkXKgqCOH-7vlvgb4L4hg4IrXI The fit was great as well. I am 5'11" and 160 lbs with a longer torso and rather shorter legs, and 55cm is a perfect fit. Every component seems to be pretty decent and durable except the rear wheel. It was a bit lob-sided and also the freewheel component is either missing a ball bearing or under lubricated, which prevents the wheel from rotating freely. Because of that, it requires more pedaling and also climbing hills a lot harder than expected. Other than the back wheel, I like everything else about it. Affordable and well-built.** UPDATE **It turns out the sound was caused by the tight chain tension. Once I loosen it up by moving the backwheel a tad bit closer to the crankset, the sound went away.
I toss bicycles (recycle them) when they are this rusted. You never know what is hidden under a new paint job. I used to recycle a lot of rusted steal pipes that were welding together to make hog (pig) cages. If you hit the steal pipes and tubing hard with a 2 by 4 board, you can easily crack them near the welds and toss the pipes and tubing into your truck. I've seen car chassis crack easy near the welds when rusted bad. Folding bikes are especially victim to high torques and frame stress due to their frame geometries not being fully enclosed like a triangular frame with a top tube and bottom tube. I never buy a folding bike without seeing it's original paint job. You never know if a beautiful new paint job is hiding dangers under it.
Man I found a Blue Rayleigh stowaway 1975 today Saved it! I’m going to restore it if anyone has any useful tips, that’s would be helpful and maybe where to look for parts I think the seat isn’t original or could be wrong and I need the white handle grips I’ve don’t some looking and digging and ever thing else seems to be original. Thank you And great video I’ll sub, maybe share my restoration do a video. Untill then wish me luck
I have a very similar bike to this that i am bringing back - a Peugeot FU22-5 - it has a derailer and rear and front breaks - how do i remove the surface rust from the chrome parts ? And how can i do a blast and paint without breaking the bank balance!?
Meticulous and patient. Every movement looks easy and every piece fits like a glove. This is awesome!
What a great dad you are! I hope your daughter is loving her new bike
🍺🍺
Cool you went through this effort!

Nice work man 🤘
Good job 👍
Reason you couldnt get pedal off is because you were tightening it , its anticlockwise that side
Classic mistake I make every time!
Right! After welding that screw he realized his mistake. Anyway he did a great job overall.
Qual a marca dessa bicicleta?
@@renatojoao9548 Pegas Camping made in Romania in the '70s.
Bine mai Hercule!
Well job, tyres would be better with the white bands sidewise. I'd like to restore a KingPin Dawes folding bike

Isn't the left hand pedal a left hand thread. You didn't need to grind it off.
Yeah, it is why he failed to unscrew. Left hand pedal has left hand (reverse) thread.
Lovely!
هذه الدراجة الهوائية فيها سرعة خارقة فهي سريعة جدا
Se putea restaura si pedalele originale, plasticurile polisate si in rest polisata sau zincata si lacuita.
Super ti-a iesit.
