I think the theory goes that the hit was unsanctioned and they wanted Toni dead bt Salvatore vouched for him and to save him he had to be exiled from Liberty City and kick some tribute up to the other families
LCS is. Great story but that theory would never hold in the real world. An unsanctioned hit always results in death and a hefty fine paid to the affected family and Commission. Sal could easily have had Toni whacked and saved himself.
@@ImplodingSubmarine Nah it won't hold in the real world bt in some cases depending on who it is and what that person position is they may let it slide if they can get somebody else for sum more unsanctioned or rat allegations it all depends

I agree with what you said. I also think that maybe Salvatore's paranoia after being betrayed by CJ played a bit of a role in it, too. Mind you, he doesn't have a consiguree or an advisor. Should Sal have valued and appreciated Toni a bit more? Yes, but he did appreciate his loyalty and company above anything. Shame it became a domino effect in the way it did because on top of his past betrayal by CJ and Maria's antics, he would betray Claude before he got got first, thus Asuka issues an order to kill off the Don. In sheer irony, his paranoia cost his own life.
True, but I actually mention the paranoia in the video ;d I quite adore how Rockstar explained Salvatore's betrayal of Claude with CJ in SA, and then followed this up with another consequence of SA's events with the lack of trust in LCS. Brilliant lore creation
@@twinberwolves4231the best thing Sal could do in LV is… not to marry a young girl old enough to be his daughter, that is Maria. And he could have no troubles at all! Genius, isn’t it?
I'm not talkin about the Viceport deal in the video, but about the trap that Sonny set up for Tommy becos of which he got locked up 15 years before the story of Vice CIty
I personally think Toni killed a made man within the Leone family, which is something that Salvatore couldn't order according to the rules of the Mafia even tho he's the boss, and that's why he had to run away afterwards, to make sure people would forget what happened and no one would relate Toni to it
If you’ve seen the godfather you’d know that nothing escapes the mind of a suspicious boss or even their lackeys for that matter; even lower ranking hitmen and wise guys would hunt someone down and they would NEVER forget something like that

Leone Crime Family, Leone Family
