This is final level unemployment HOLYYYY. I was thinking he actually did something bad but he just died in a videogame? People legit need to go outside bruh
People are wildly overreacting, but it's a little bit more nuanced than what you're saying. He didn't die in a video game. He was in a five-man group of people on a hardcore permanent death server. Those people have put in dozens of hours to get to that point including himself. Something went wrong in the dungeon they were doing. Ignoring whether that was his fault or not, the issue is that he could have done substantially more to prevent the others from dying. The backlash came from basically leaving everyone to die and then refusing to admit that he could have done more. Again, people are wildly overreacting in my opinion, but that is what happened.
That's basically the reaction my roommate had when he heard about it. He's just now convinced a good bit of hardcore classic players are just mentally ill.
Context behind the "Cannibalize" comment was actually cut by people on Reddit because they deeply hate PirateSoftware. In a group call, someone was trying to start a fight, flat out saying they're going to be starting a fight "for content" and that got Pirate angry. That was who he was talking to, people on Reddit then clip-chimped and said it was about ANYONE reacting, which it wasn't. People are just being Redditors as usual.
Thor is a super heartfelt person when speaking, which isnt really good for his case when everyone and their mother wanna cut clips out of context to villainize him
I mean, his passive aggressive tones at times do not help in his case, he’s just a bit of a twitter yapper who’s petty at times and this was just one of those times where he’s really petty lol
So Lacari saw this clip, told Soda and that got him kicked? Man Soda had all the time in the world to talk to others when they were in Drama to sort it out, this one I think he just ditched cause it wasn't worth it.
Rogue: "RUN!" *everyone runs, Mage teleports as he is the only one with this ability* Rogue, after everyone has already started booking it: "Wait wait don't run! Mage come back and help us!" Mage: "I'm too far away and don't think I can help you." Did Thor make it worse than it had to be by doubling down? Yes. Was everyone handling it well and communicating the best they could? No. This is literally the kind of squabbling me and my friends got into on COD Zombies when we were twelve.
Forreal. Pirate could've just said "Communication was rough for everyone, I panicked. Sorry " and no one but Pirate's community would have ever talked about it.
THANK YOU if someone makes a call to disengage and the player that NEEDS their mana to do basicly anything spends their last bit to disengage, you cant be mad that they then dont engage again when you change your mind. if youre playing dnd and the wizard spends his last 2nd lv spellslot to misty step to safety after the party decided to flee, nobody should blame them for not casting cloud of daggers at a chokepoint instead

Holy shit why are random people online like putting literally any emotion/complex thoughts into some dudes playing WoW? It’s not that serious, he made a bad decision. It’s a fuckin video game not like he left his friends for dead in the real world
It's more like people are starting to see the footage and receipts for everything else he's done in the past and this final ego ult of his has unleashed all the karma he's built up over the years. You're correct, WoW ISN'T that serious, but most people aren't upset about what happened in WoW, it was merely the catalyst.
People are not angry at him because of his gameplay, it's because of his attitude and ego. This drama brought even more attention to old clips of him acting like a douchebag. Pirate software and his mods are literally on a campaign right now editing his past channel clips (they can do that) to decrease the duration to 5 seconds, trying to hide the shit he said in the past. (really makes you wonder why someone would try to censor their own clips huh, shame that all clips have mirrors in other sites that they can't censor lol) Pirate would literally lecture other mages on how to play. Make fun of them, and at one point even saying that "watching this mage makes me physically ill" while watching a clip of another mage, but when people do the same to him he gets mad lol. Bro was lecturing and mocking other people when he can't even do the basic. Dude lives in a echo-chamber, anyone that even remotely critics one of his ingame actions or brings something to attention gets permabanned. There are other things people are mad about, like earthbound dev cycle. Lying about Mr Robot, his mightier than thou attitude, amidst other things. That people took this drama to bring it all out at once.
"You didn't pay attention to the group's resources" says the guy completely needlessly wasting mana and then going "can't do anything, look at my mana" while having mana refills ready to use. All I needed to know, the projection is strong with this one.
Wait... THIS is the drama? Alright, well, I'm not finishing this video. This isn't worth my time. Even less than regular online drama. I feel dumber for having watched any of this.
Tyler1 said it best, this got waaaaay out of control. He's kind of an asshole and handled the situation poorly but be serious man, he's getting too much flame for such an insignificant issue that's actually laughable. Imagine Logan paul got as much hate as he's getting for scamming his kid audience
Nah PirateSoftware loves to lick the balls of development companies when they make bad decisions by making excuses for them. I'll take any chance I can get to hate on him. If PirateSoftware has 1 hater, it's me, baby.
1. there's way more to hate about piratesoftware than just this one instance, he has a long history of fucking up and fucking people over. 2. Logan Paul gets a constant barrage of hate for literally everything he does, much of it rightfully deserved. 3. Just because Logan Paul does something bad doesn't mean other people are free from criticism.
I think it's because he had this persona of being such a kind awesome dude, logan paul is an asshole and its to be expected. This is like if mr rogers flipped off a waiter, like in the grand scheme of things its not that big of a deal, but mister rogers doing it makes a lot of people talk.

This has to be one of the stupidest internet drama ive seen in a long time. In Hardcore you die. If you cant handle it and dying makes you a crybaby, dont play hardcore. As I i understood the situation: The first mistake was overpulling the boss. The second mistake was to doubt the ongoing retreat. That seeded confusion and their fate was sealed. Pirate was the only sensible person carrying through the retreat. Put your own mask on before helping others, and dont go into a burning house trying to save someone.
Listen, I'm not a fan of Thor(for unrelated reasons), but you should never send death threats to someone. Almost no one deserves that, and he should not have gone through that.

this whole drama looks like my average playthrough of RLCraft with my friends in VC (we died to a single mob because someone thought they can beat a stinky rat)
So basically mmo player plays support correctly doesnt use some of his skills cause he was getting chased and his party got so pissed that they decided to throw a hissy fit for not getting their way. And this only happens commonly in World of Warcraft. It rarely happens in other mmos WoW is just that toxic.
No body said that. Are you with Thor or not? But what version? This one or the one from weeks ago displaying the talents and the spells that would be used in these situations? Just watch the videos for yourself.
Doxxing and sending death threats to a guy over a situation in a game you weren’t involved in is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen. The whole situation is something that would happen with your friends online once and you’d be upset for a day, then you get over it.
I saw the title and was so worried that he was a piece of shit, just to find out that they're arguing like me and my brother over who gets to buy the door in COD Zombies 💀
First time on the internet? Unhinged people send death threats. That said, People are blowing this up because pirates double standards and posh attitude, dudes a nepo baby that never takes accountability.
Absolutely understandable, though illegal. It costs weeks of work to get to this point. Some of them make a living out of that. And it's not a normal WoW where you would pick up the items you lost and go on. Though this is not the reason Thor got threatened this much. If he wouldn't be arrogant and agree that everyone including him did bad, people would be calmer.
This video discusses events involving PirateSoftware, with edits that seem intended to portray him in a better light (e.g., omitting parts like when he left the voice chat while others were speaking, this video mentions it and shows the clip, but then omits the most important part). What really happened: First off, let’s be clear, the dangerous dungeon situation wasn’t caused by PirateSoftware, and no one is blaming him for it. Don’t say it’s his fault because it’s not, and no streamer is claiming that either. But here’s the issue: after the situation started and the team began falling back, PirateSoftware decided to let them die as “punishment.” He said he didn’t have enough mana to help, but logs show he actually did. At that moment, any level 60 mage in WoW Hardcore could’ve done something to save the team. Later, he tried to excuse himself by saying he didn’t think it would help, but in earlier clips, he admitted those actions can save lives.. What could’ve been done: He didn’t have to accept full blame (for what he really did), but he could’ve just said, “Yeah, I could’ve handled that better.” That would’ve made it look like a simple mistake, and the whole thing could’ve ended there. Instead, he refused to take responsibility and left voice chats whenever others tried to share their side of the story. That came off as pretty disrespectful. Then, another clip came out from Ashes of Creation. In this one, he went on a rant about how someone pulling a mob ruined half the raid, and he said they deserved to be kicked for it. Turns out, he was the one who pulled the mob, something his own community pointed out. But instead of owning up to it, he insisted he did nothing wrong and said he was “100% right.” and then that mob was not related to that fail after all (context: apparently you lose a lot of loot if you die in middle of a raid). The fallout: Streamers started watching these clips, and those who knew the game mechanics pointed out that a mage could’ve easily saved the team in the dungeon. A very few even suggested he let them die on purpose, not because he panicked, but as a way to punish them. Finally, PirateSoftware reportedly filed false accusations against his platform and guild partners, which was seen as a direct threat to their livelihoods. That’s what led to his guild removal (gkick).
Everyone who plays hardcore wow now just lives for the tiniest bit of new drama. Everyone outside of this is like “who cares” and everyone in the circle is acting like he’s this horrible being. It’s funny af how lame people are
the boss fight went bad, and someone said run. pirate software ran because its hardcore and he would lose his character. not only would he lose his character, but as he is the guilds best enchanter he held their more powerful items and materials. then everybody else got mad at him for not doing better and helping protect the people who died
This statement full of multiple misinformation and lack of context Pirate has bragged multiple times about being able to salvage these kinds of situations, is not the guilds best enchanter, infat there's like at least 3 people that can replace him and more can easily add to that number, in a guild and party scenario like this 'run' does not mean every man for himself, run means everybody runs working together to get out as a team. Pirate was in 0 risk there even if he helped because a rank 1 blizzard won't be nearly enough to take aggro People are mad about him for his ego and lack of owning up for his mistakes, not that he 'saved himself'
@@GoDLordBeerusya but “run” means retreat. They retreated, then reengaged WITH another group, if they just ran to begin with and not reengage it might not have happened
Why are you so up piratesoftware's ass? Nobody gets kicked from onlyfangs for playing badly, that is the point of the guild. Pirate was kicked for being an insufferable narcissist who refused to take any accountability and threatened fellow guildmembers careers; notice how he was only kicked after he said he would report any streamer who reacts to the clip?
This is downright the most anticlimatic and unneccesary internet drama I have ever seen. A bunch of adult babies arguing because they died in a goddamn videogame. I just love how stoic PirateSoftware is. Lets face it, hes the only one acting like an adult. They are all streamers. They have tons of free time on their hands and are literally being paid for playing videogames. What exactly is stopping them for starting all over? Also I saw someone comment that this is peak level unemployment and I couldnt agree more. They are beefing because of dying in WOW while Im here trying to find a part time job to get by during school year...
"Pontius Pilate" instead of "Pontius Pilatus"? I don't think there's enough cross-wood in the land for this one, lads. ah damn it, now you've got me thinking about the Roman Empire again
Piratesoftware literally didn't even do anything wrong, Ran when told to run. Everyone else in that group kept blaming him. This shouldn't be drama period.
I love the part where the rouge says "this is salvageable" and already starts flaming others, while he himself does absolutely nothing, not even building combo points or blinding. Only at the very end when the mobs started targeting him he used his blind, and then noticed the boss is immune to CC 🤣 That was the moment he realized that it was infact not salvagable and at that time he already doomed people with bad calls so ofcourse he sought a scapegoat. PictureBook moron.
Never in a million years would I expect PirateSoftware of all things to get death threats for playing a game wrong. I was expecting him to get death threats for his Stop Killing Games take
So. Gonna be real. If I was in PirateSoftwares shoes here. I'd have done the exact same thing. Based on how that went down, running was realistically the only viable option. You pulled multiple packs, and several mob packs were skipped on their way through, meaning that even running is a bad time. There was very little about that run that was salvageable at that point, and I've had experiences very similar in many different games. Even as a character type that is meant to handle these things, "well" one forgets that "well" doesn't always mean it's without fail. When presented with a near impossible predicament, I have, in fact, just gone "nope, we need to reset" shot caller called to bail. Then called to go back in. That's just poor shot calling. Straight up.
But your "impossible predicament" is just in your head and not reality in the game ;) Run never means run away from your own group if you are in group of guild mates. He had so much mana stocked through items that could have blinked 2-3 times and cast 5-6 rank 1 Blizzard from a safe distance. He knows that well and nobody should deal with that in a guild so the kick was probably the best for all parties. Bad guild mate and player.
@minementalx you know morale is a thing in these, and nobody on this earth is perfect. Did he have mana stocked? Yea. Would it have saved them, probably not. Did he respond well to that criticism? Nope. But you can see many players make similar mistakes when they see something that drains the mood and vibe so far that you mentally check out. Some of the best players in many games can make this same mistake. It's not actually uncommon. If you don't have synergy and understanding with a team, then it's a bad team even if it has top players on it. This is not an unknown and dumbfounding thing to see. If it was that bad then run it with someone else. It doesn't need to be so pathetic with hate and nonsense from a bunch of streamers and viewers that likely could have made identical mistakes in that situation or have already in the past. Be an adult. It's a video game with high stakes of time investment. Not a witch hunt trial in Salem.
Thor's only crime is being a bit of an arrogant prick. There's no actual issue here. He didn't actually hurt anyone. This is honestly such a nontroversy. Everyone could've maybe played better during the dungeon run, and maybe Thor could've acknowledged his role a little more, and blame a little less. But ultimately, he didn't sexually assault anyone, he didn't say anything negative, he didn't talk down on any minority groups, he wasn't offensively rude. Man thought he was correct, and defended his position - then he started receiving unhinged messages from unhinged people and he did as he should've, reported them.
Thor could've been less defensive about it, but if everybody started coming down on me for doing what I was told and playing the game, I'd probably start getting petty too
@@CvntBunchaNumbers The problem is that Thor acts like this everytime. This is final level unemployment HOLYYYY. I was thinking he actually did something bad but he just died in a videogame? People legit need to go outside bruh
Bruh facts

Rogue, after everyone has already started booking it: "Wait wait don't run! Mage come back and help us!"
Mage: "I'm too far away and don't think I can help you."
Did Thor make it worse than it had to be by doubling down? Yes. Was everyone handling it well and communicating the best they could? No.
This is literally the kind of squabbling me and my friends got into on COD Zombies when we were twelve.
Forreal. Pirate could've just said "Communication was rough for everyone, I panicked. Sorry " and no one but Pirate's community would have ever talked about it.

he was literally talking down and saying shit all the time to other mages, when it was his turn he displayed no skill with his class
(really makes you wonder why someone would try to censor their own clips huh, shame that all clips have mirrors in other sites that they can't censor lol)

What really happened:
First off, let’s be clear, the dangerous dungeon situation wasn’t caused by PirateSoftware, and no one is blaming him for it.
What could’ve been done:
He didn’t have to accept full blame (for what he really did), but he could’ve just said, “Yeah, I could’ve handled that better.” That would’ve made it look like a simple mistake, and the whole thing could’ve ended there.
The fallout:
Streamers started watching these clips, and those who knew the game mechanics pointed out that a mage could’ve easily saved the team in the dungeon.
It’s funny af how lame people are
The Hair Situation Is Crazy

This statement full of multiple misinformation and lack of context
Pirate has bragged multiple times about being able to salvage these kinds of situations, is not the guilds best enchanter, infat there's like at least 3 people that can replace him and more can easily add to that number, in a guild and party scenario like this 'run' does not mean every man for himself, run means everybody runs working together to get out as a team. Pirate was in 0 risk there even if he helped because a rank 1 blizzard won't be nearly enough to take aggro
People are mad about him for his ego and lack of owning up for his mistakes, not that he 'saved himself'
@@GoDLordBeerusya but “run” means retreat. They retreated, then reengaged WITH another group, if they just ran to begin with and not reengage it might not have happened

But your "impossible predicament" is just in your head and not reality in the game ;)
Run never means run away from your own group if you are in group of guild mates.
