Yea and benpak some lifts I agree. The dude should get some sponsoring going it would benefit him and the channel and the makers of the products a lot. Like roguefab would help a lot you know that stuff would get used a lot. If seen them sponsor others. Few episodes with pro car bending tubes and cutting them would be good. Fit also directly in the filming schedule!😊

Jimmy as an engineer, I think you’d love a 3d printer. You can get a decent one like bambu labs for $650. The possibilities are endless: brackets, block off plates, etc
I’ve asked for a shop overhaul multiple times. Garage renovations is what led me to your channel originally when you did the loft at your old shop. You have so much space just seems like laying it out better could maximize it
5 Years in the shop is crazy, i still remember back when you were doing the LS swap on the red Z and you were so unsure if you even wanted to record the videos for that project but you trucked through it anyway and here we are.
*I know it's a waste of time for you, but I know there are a lot of us that would still love to see the license plate wall happen!* Maybe a small white board on the door of the paint cabinet to help keep track of things that need to be ordered? Bigger metal or wooden shelves should not only give you more real estate, but should also help declutter what you do have. Home garage build series would be dope too.
Second this! 99% of what you would need a plasma table for is tabs and what not. And for $2500+ the cost of a good plasma it’s really not that bad. Plus the trace function is pretty awesome makes it super user friendly especially for simple stuff.
I mean grindhard has one sponsored right the do use it a lot but would help for sure I wonder if they up for sponsorship never that much like tools getting sponsored to jimmy
Man im so stoked for some shop upgrade videos, even if its just drywall patching and sorting stuff out, you get so many ideas for you own garage watching stuff like that. Sometimes hanging out, messing around with the boys are the most entertaining videos, alot of us are here for you Jimmy, not just the cars.
"big space makes you feel successful" is one of the most saliant points I have ever heard from a car based UA-cam channel. Well done Austin. I am WAY into big shops, but you have to start with building smarter, not bigger. I would 100% watch you guys take a break from various big time builds, to show/organize/optimize the shop. I LOVE a well organized, highly utilized shop space. Just sit down, plan it out, and crank through it. Life will be MUCH better after. Also, just as a side note. Maybe moving the fab shop over to what you thought would be the "main corner" of the shop, and move the dyno to where the fab corner is now so you can use that door for exhaust, and that frees up a big area right in the middle of the shop for more storage, of another lift bay, or whatever else you can think of.
You're a King Jimmy. This is your castle. I know a lot of people who would LOVE to have a shop even half this size, with that said you could easily turn the back room into storage and optimize the main room for only what you need to use. Keep the rest of the space open for room to grow / room for friends and other activities. I think re-organizing the shop is a good idea regardless of what you do
Will definitely love to watch a mini series on shop cleaning and optimisation. Rolling shelves are awesome for us at work. Car gets stripped for bodywork and paint, it all goes on its own shelf and rolled away until the cars ready to be put back together again. More loft space could be built above work areas like the fab area or the other corner of the shop so you’ve got the loft storage for parts 🤙🏻 keen to watch the progress
Shop upgrades I would definitely watch. Taylor ray does it and I love watching it. I would definitely watch you upgrading or making the shop more efficient. And going through all the trinkets and stuff should be a special video in the future.
I think i'm speaking for most of us here, we would literally watch you guys paint walls lol. Sometimes it's not all about the action in the vids but the crew themselves, you guys always find a way to make everything informative and entertaining. Much love from Ohio!
You should do a complete makeover of the garage, paint walls, do something about the floor maybe epoxy them, it would level up the viewing experience and working experience a bunch, get some better lights, brighter ones, better for content and working aswell, and i feel like most people would enjoy that, DIY stuff and learn a little aswell
i think 2 weeks of cleaning and overhauling the shop is well deserved. get all the boys together and put them to work. like that tom dude, fuck that guy. shelves and bins are needed. as well as labels for things. get stuff off the ground. maybe another 2 car storage lift for the main shop and maybe one for the added on car storage room. its realy cool seeing things from like 5+ years ago being an OG sub.
For your storage problem you could look into the big warehouse shelves, like the ones for pallets, you can fit a lot of stuff in them, and in our shop we have the botom shelf as a workbench, which is actually really nice
I can’t wait to see what you figure out that shop still has so much potential. Just needs to be dialed in and maximize the space. I can see a few tire racks hanging on the wall Lev Rack for work area/storage and two triple stacker 4 post lifts 🤙🏻
Part of me says contact Obsessed Garage, but I know Matt is gonna tear that thing to the ground & have you spending money you might not have or want to spend. Though it'll be a epic shop once done. That said, buy more four post lifts (even triple stacker) to store cars. You can put them in that haunted area @ 20:30 Get rid of the extra space. Save the money. Build some serious shelves into one wall to clean up your storage. Leave the dyno as is.
Obsessed garage would definitely make space! Problem is Jimmy pays his landlord. Technically Jim’s not the OWNER of his garage he’s a tenant. Adam was a owner so he can do that obsessed garage stuff
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts Matt helped setup the workshop area (tools, tables, flooring, storage) at his [Adam's] original shop, where he shared storage with that BMW shop before he purchased The Compound. So it's possible.... but unlikely. As a fan I can dream.
I found your channel years ago from your video where you built a loft in your last shop in 2018. I’ve been watching ever since. I never miss a video! Do a build series, it’ll pull in a whole new audience like it did to me.
The guys that watch these videos aren’t just here for the builds. We’re here for the vibe that y’all have. Definitely one of the only down to earth UA-cam channels left
Obsessed Garage is buddies with your best friend Adam have him optimize your garage or at least give you a plan he should combo with you and make a bunch of videos about it.
Actually a common occurance for Japanese companies to clean during the last few weeks of the year. The shop I worked at in Japan spent the 15th-31st just cleaning and organizing EVERYTHING in the hangar. Parts, toolboxes, storage rooms, paperwork, even painting stuff. Felt good coming into work in January and the shop looked amazing. Good luck with the cleaning and reorganizing!
I'll always watch, I know I'm just one person but I feel like I'm speaking for you general audience here. I like garage mods, it gives me ideas on mine. Same as I like the schassis stuff. It gives me ideas for mine. Maybe break it up every other video organize and the next a car video to keep morale up
I'm all in for a shop resto series not gonna lie would be a nice relaxing break from the car content. You guys are the best group on UA-cam hands down. If it's posted I'm watching just for vibes alone!
Jimmy honestly I'd love to watch all of those video ideas you mentioned especially all the cleaning and reorganizing videos I'm here to watch always every day not matter what
Please do a garage build series! You always show your experience checking out other garages overseas and would be cool if you brought that inspiration to your shop
I remember when that used to be the main office of the shop. Time has flown by. We need an upstairs downstairs clean up video for sure. Bring some memories back! 32:45
Move dyno another couple feet toward the door because it needs to be open anyway put a 4poster right infront of it drive on hoist to back on the dyno get double car storage and easy dyno access win win
I never really comment to show love but this is my number one channel on UA-cam. All the effort from your whole team never goes unnoticed, you guys are unreal. Thanks for everything ❤🤙🏼
The more videos like this make you more relatable!!!... love you see you go threw the shop. It would make us see a wall and be like remember them setting that up!
If your thinking shelves higher up in a variety of areas, get you one of those movable staircase things that Lowes or home Depot has, basically a staircase on wheels.
Taylor Ray did a shop upgrade series and we loved it. You guys would get the same result. Your fans love the shop videos as much as the car build/drift content. Can’t wait to see it
Definitely need a shop revamp series. It works for others and it brings a nice look on the inside for the viewers. Organization looks to be y’all’s biggest crutch. Before you’re done with a project or item take the extra time to put it in the right place. Yall aren’t working against a clock since you’re creating the content yourself. The people love to see someone being thorough, being the same energy to your cars that you do your work space.
There is so much potential and space to be had in that shop. I would not get rid of the back room. I say either make it into a paint booth or a car storage room. I love y’all’s content and would watch it no matter what you guys post. I do think that a shop series would be great cause it would give other motivation and inspiration to do there on shop. Again I love the content!!! Keep up the good works guys
Jimmy and Gang seriously don’t overthink it. Everything that was said in video including Austin’s takes are amazing!! Just Do It like Nike, I’m so down for those renovation videos. It brings back memories of the old shop where you built the LOFT! 😅 great videos to take a break from cars! Hell LZ bringing me back as a subber with his renovation videos
The best advice i could give you is to bring in an outside influence to plan your work shop. When people are so used to working in a space, it becomes very difficult to see anything but what you are used to. I have arranged countless wood working shops for businesses over the years. And even though at the start, the owners may have been reluctant, the results show in the workflow.
James you have tall ceilings and no pallet racking. You pay for the square footage; but you get to utiize the cubic. You've been at the functional threshold of a high reach forklift for a long time. A capable (ideally electric) forklift of any style and however tall of racking the fire marshal will allow will transform the space visually and functionally. Every shop ends up with it for a reason, and its time to see fiberglass aero and seats 20ft in the air. Also ULine for the tire racks. Best place/price I've found.
A shop makeover series would be sick! We are all going to watch whatever you guys post, plus I think it would give us all inspiration to clean up our own garages. 😂
I work for a landscape/construction company and we use the home depot style pallet racks as storage around the perimeter of a smaller two bay garage and it works great, shelving up high and bc they're super adjustable you can make/keep work stations or benches under the shelf racks. I would def like to see more fab work from Spoon so I vote he gets a baller work area. Also maybe move the 2 post lifts all to one side at an angle and then if needed add 4 posts to the other if you still needed more storage. Either way you guys are killing it and I look forward to every video you post!
There are a lot of companies out there that need to sponsor the best UA-camr in the game. Organization, lift, storage, tools and nut and bolts sponsors need to show up.
the shop organizing, consolidating, and optimizing will make great content! im guilty of getting stuck in my ghetto ass ways. show us the approach you and spoon wanna take, and not to worry about the car content. we love just watching whatever you and the boys decide to get into!
Seeing jimmys box had me crying 😂 gotta love him. Vertical storage is key get some 4 post 3 car stackers. Get rid of the other “storage space” to save on overhead. That would = more builds lol. You have so much usable vertical space. And not to mention 3 cars stacked would look sick asf. Other than that you just have a lot of parts so it’s pretty hard to “organize” it all unless you build a million shelf’s to store everything. I would love to see a few weeks of shop improvements and shop upgrade series.
Here for it bro, any video you got all sounds interesting! Container out the back or two, the dead tool bench corner can be a couple of rows of racks for parts.. chop the bath room as suggested. We will watch it
Industrial Storage Racks but mount wheels on them. Then when you go to work on specific car you can roll the complete storage rack out and put it beside the car your working on.
Bro we are here to watch you do you man. Doesn't matter if your drifting, building cars, talking crap or cleaning your shop i love your videos and can't wait to watch the next one just do you and we will watch you do it. love you Jimmy
Love the content and unique ideas that each and everyone of you have come up with in the car community and look forward to seeing bigger and better things in the upcoming year. I would say get Two three car stacker’s from Ben pack at the main garage door and move the four post lift to the back right side of the shop next to the dyno and potentially get an alignment machine to make it a one stop shop and ten times easier to get on track, then take the two post lift and put it next to the lift that the pro car is on. Rip the shower section of the bathroom out and add a mezzanine storage section to the existing loft space that you have but with an actual spiral staircase to get to the parts easier and possibly talk to the bolt and nut company to have the exact hardware on hand and replenished every other month or so. Mack the back storage space into the fabrication / wiring area so then you have the business/merch space with the fabrication and wiring space in the back room and the garage / workshop / display space in the original side of the building.
A solid deep clean and organization series would be cool, and a good reference or “inventory” of what’s in the shop. There is something so satisfying about revitalizing a space. With a few more car storage lifts it is definitely possible to get back to the original space without feeling too cramped.
Honestly even like a mini series of shop cleaning/redesign for a few videos would be cool to see. Always love watching whatever y’all do
This would be a great idea

I think re-organizing the shop is a good idea regardless of what you do
Jimmy not gonna lie you need a triple car starker and a display rak to show off your expensive wheel just to look good
Would probably be a good idea to build another mezzanine for vertical storage for bigger parts.
20:59 “Don’t judge me”
21:00 *Austin’s b-roll of judgement*
You can put them in that haunted area @ 20:30
Get rid of the extra space. Save the money.
Build some serious shelves into one wall to clean up your storage.
Leave the dyno as is.
Yes, that co-lab would hit hard!
Obsessed garage would definitely make space! Problem is Jimmy pays his landlord. Technically Jim’s not the OWNER of his garage he’s a tenant.
Adam was a owner so he can do that obsessed garage stuff
That dude is a huge tool. Keep him away from this sacred channel
@@connoisseuroftigolbitts Matt helped setup the workshop area (tools, tables, flooring, storage) at his [Adam's] original shop, where he shared storage with that BMW shop before he purchased The Compound. So it's possible.... but unlikely. As a fan I can dream.
@@rdub202his insane ocd digs so deep in the pockets
Bro honestly anything you do I will watch, you have kept me entertained for so much of my life.
You need to build mezzanine like you did in your old shop(but on a larger scale) and add racking/box stuff up
I found your channel years ago from your video where you built a loft in your last shop in 2018. I’ve been watching ever since. I never miss a video!
Do a build series, it’ll pull in a whole new audience like it did to me.
LevRack and pallet shelving. Put 3/4” plywood on the pallet shelving and you can do 2-3 tiers above 6’. You’d clear up so much floor space.
Spring cleaning episodes sick AF
Metal racks inside a storage container out back will be such a great decision that has zero downsides. Do it Jimmy
Someone sponsor this guy ffs. Oakes garage is the OG and couldn’t ask for a guy that needs it more
22:07 YES!
make that the storage corner!
you need more shelves ASAP!
3 car stackers in the back room
Jimmy honestly I'd love to watch all of those video ideas you mentioned especially all the cleaning and reorganizing videos I'm here to watch always every day not matter what
Honestly, you’re super talented. Keep posting more!
Bot bot bot bot , Click my link in the bio yayaya
Please do a garage build series! You always show your experience checking out other garages overseas and would be cool if you brought that inspiration to your shop
Wow, seriously this made my day. Thank you!
I don’t know about everyone else, but I love watching shop upgrades just as much as car upgrades. I’m game for some shop refresh videos
I remember when that used to be the main office of the shop. Time has flown by. We need an upstairs downstairs clean up video for sure. Bring some memories back! 32:45
A lil shop refresh would definitely hit. U literally are living every car guys dream of having everything you love and more ❤
Move dyno another couple feet toward the door because it needs to be open anyway put a 4poster right infront of it drive on hoist to back on the dyno get double car storage and easy dyno access win win
Can’t wait to see it
give spoon a tool overhaul with a new box, man deserves it
Definitely need a shop revamp series.
just make videos of shop upgrades mate, taylor ray does it all the time and we love it!
Check your area for store closings. They sell their shelving from the back or the merchandise shelving for cheap. Replicate a up garage feel
Absolutely watch every episode you post, because of y’all’s vibes not just the car vibes. Long time subscriber
