*EDITOR NOTE* Someone made a great point about something I stated in the end of the video, which was how I believed these false pieces of advertisements were harmless. I wanted to explain this statement a bit more. They're DEFINITELY harmful. They're harmless to those that know these ads are fake (me for example) but to the ones that don't (usually young kids) there's definitely bad that can come from it. Young children are VERY impressionable. If they constantly see a woman getting touched inappropriately by another person and that person walks off like its nothing, a child could see that and believe doing that is okay. Because they saw it "online". Something like this might seem unlikely, but believe me, it can most definitely happen. This was a thought I know I should've made in the video, but it flew past me for some reason while I was writing and editing the video. It was certainly something I was leading towards as I talked about how these ads were aimed at children. I thought I would correct the statement nonetheless. Sorry about that! @PartovtheFurniture Appreciate you for pointing this out! Let me know in the comments below what you think and as always... thank you for watching :)
Hm. There is another, far bigger issue with this. As you correctly pointed out, many of these ads & games are quite obviously interconnected, although obfuscated through the dynamics of very fast changes. This is blatant data mining of your kids' brains. There is no other motivation for this. Yes, one game might be played for a couple of pointless hours to be then uninstalled, but the frustration, followed by further search for a "better version" of the same gameplay or similar emotional imagery by millions of kids probably generates gigabytes of metadata per minute, which is then sold to, well, do I have to spell it out..? The very platforms that host the ads. For very good money, which then generates even greater revenue for these same platforms through even more engagement by the target group. Kids. Who then generate even more revenue by actively siphoning their parents' hard-earned buck directly into the pockets of - you guessed it, the very same platforms, by that very same token. This kind of data mining is a highly unethical, immoral & dangerous scam & should be prosecuted accordingly by a legal entity with the resources to catalogue & map out the flow of data. Problem is: no such entity exists.
It's how many of these games earn their revenue. The few people that stay and actually play it after downloading one are forced to see these ads if they want extra material or currency.
I don't even know what's on a credit card, my mom made mw order her some taco bell off the app and I genuinely did not know what to do, can't believe kids make so many purchases so young
kids make the most ingame purchases? in my country not even parents have credit cards, and kids usually dont get access to any kind of online money.... this is so surprising to me, here parents just say no and the kid has no way to get on any data that makes online purchases possible
Discovered your channel through a friend sharing your bad endings video, but this is the one that pushed me to subscribe.. They can be hilarious for those of us who see them for what they are, complete junk, but I haaaate how many children must come across these, especially the borderline p0rnographic ones
Adds reflect your personality they are based on your search patterns that are stored in your Google account profile marketing settings. From time to time clean your profile and I suggest you use a women profile because I have noticed that women get less pervert add, making your add experience better than if you have male profile.
Honestly, I would really like some of the games I get ads for - especially the puzzles - and would happily pay for them if they were actually decent. And didn't have a million ads all the time.
Iv been raging so hard at mobile game ads for a long time wondering how the HELL no one has talked about this lmao 😂 solid video man. Genuinely love your videos
The ads last forever. Whenever you touch the screen it takes you immediately to the Play store. It takes multiple tries and multiple screens just to get the add to go away. As an adult I'm not fooled by the ads and I'm not going to download this crap but obviously somebody is downloading them because they're getting worse and worse and I'm so I'm assuming it's kids.
Lol, RoK vs all the other base builders is like donuts vs cereal, cereal (base builders) pretend to be healthy (pretend to be good games) but RoK doesn't pretend with it's ads. Sure, they're still bad, but that doesn't mean they're not truthful.

And these games have so many ads in them that just promote other games with just as terrible ads

They make Overwatch 2 look like GOTY.
feels like we're getting closer and closer to the dystopian world of cyberpunk 2077

With Nintendo getting into the mobile scene, these unhinged moble game ads would make a great backdrop for a mobile Wario Ware game.
great work!
Like you say some the game look fun in the ad, like the kings game thing, a buzzel game and pyshic part would be cool!
keep it up!
6:33 Now THIS is an ad.
