Oh God, I'm still traumatized from years ago a man saying to me "You have a Roman nose- it's roamin all over your face" It's awful how things stay with us.
And don't understand why people think that in Greece , big noses considered beautiful but it is not, Greek women who have sharp and untilted nose considered beautiful . I don't hate your so called Roman nose but it is a myth about Roman standard
In Amir Khan's movie Ghajini there is so beautiful actress with this aristocrat look nose. I learnt Asin Thottumkal, she is one of the most beautiful woman.
It's weird, cus I dislike my nose, but I find other girls with my nose shape super pretty! Same with guys, I love a prominent, hooked nose on a man, it's extremely attractive to me. Does anyone else feel like this?
In the end it always depends on the overall facial features and styling how attratcive someone seems to majority. Every body and every features can look more or less attractive. And we are not able to look at ourself objectivly because it is unnatural that humans can themselves the way we see ourselve in the mirror and photos. But thank to modern afforadble mass fashion and very good styling advises/stylists most people can be look good. We normies often ust do not know hot to do. I am so glad I found Alys and Kibbe. It changed so much ❤️
Hooked noses don't seem to be as common as other nose shapes, but they're beautiful. I went to high school with a girl who had a hooked nose, and she wore her very straight hair to her waist with no bangs. She was like some kind of a gypsy witch, and just absolutely stunningly beautiful. She was a misfit at my American high school, but totally cool. I loved her to death.
It's sad that some people need their traits to be "trendy" or appreciated before they can start loving them. We should love ourselves without the *need* for someone to tell us how beautiful and worthy we are.
I have not realized hooked noses are considered unattractive untill maybe last year or two years ago. I was really shocked because I've been jealous of these noses for most of my life
Me too! I find them very attractive! It’s the common trait almost all my partners through my relationship history share. They give the face so much character imo. Random note: I remember being so disappointed when Ashlee Simpson got rid of her bump/hooked nose. She’s still beautiful but now she looks so much more... generic. She had a unique beauty in the early days of her career back when I was a fan of her music in my early teens... I want to add a bump to my boring nose!
“People are perceiving you head to toe” not just one or two details. Thank you Ally for the amazing talk! I don’t have a hooked nose but I’ve always admired hooked noses. They look regal and elegant to me. 😍
I was also bullied for my nose, I ended up having a nose job (for both medical and beauty reasons) I feel much more beautiful now, not gonna lie. But sometimes I do miss my old nose👃
Yess, same here. I always hated my hooked nose, although I think it has a beautiful shape and looks cute in the front. I have been called ugly in my youth often and my toxic Ex-Boyfriends both made fun of my nose. Last year I was told I had a beautiful nose by Make Up Artists (!) - and just couldn't believe it. I am so insecure about it that I even thought men wouldn't want to date me because of it. Actually, I think this video maybe stopped me from getting it corrected...
@@yazzie208 Omg, I feel you girl! I faced similar problems- my friends sometimes called it a carrot nose. But then I had some people telling me it’s beautiful, and I believe them now 😃
I've always always found hooked, greek, straight and very high noses to be such a gorgeous and jaw-dropping feature on women. personally im not very drawn to itty bitty button noses that are so popular in our beauty standards. If u have a strong nose I beg that you show it off because it is truly majestic. Great Video Aly XX
I'm conflicted. As someone with a hooked nose, I find small straight noses so pretty. But I don't know if I'd ever do a nose job. I think it would look prettier if I had one, but at the same time, I think I'd lose what makes my appearance interesting if I changed my nose. And I'd lose the one feature that ties me to my ethnic heritage. So I don't know. What do you guys think?
@@mariannek6735 Maybe you can find someone who can change your nose in photoshop? So you see what it would look like. If you're truly unhappy then go for it and fck your heritage. If you feel bad how could you honor it?! I think the true problem is to find out if you really want to change your appearance or if unhealthy beautystandards are playing tricks on you. In my expierence it's best to start following people online who look unique. Follow people with different skin tones, different body types, disabled people, etc. and check every profile if the person makes you feel good or if you feel bad because you just compare yourself to them. With time it will change your perception of beauty and you will maybe even change your mind about your nose.
@@junimondig Good advice! It's not really that I think it's particularly ugly, it's just quite a lot less cute than if I were to fix it and the results would end up good (I've tried editing photos of myself just to see, but you don't really know unless it's 3D and in real life I think). Sometimes I don't even feel like my nose is that bad, but it's the one thing in my face that keeps bothering me from time to time. I actually don't even use social media like that (don't even have an Instagram account), but I guess beauty standards and the media in general are always present and it affects you regardless. But awesome advice for people that do use social media like that, I agree with you!
That is so fucking true!! Lol In school we have been bullied about our noses And it bothers me when I drive with the windows down sitting at lights somebody looking at me from the side etc!!I had surgery done and it looks fucking amazing now and I feel so confident how the fuck are you gonna tell me that our hook noses Our beautiful? fuck no!!
I never had a problem with my hooked nose .I am thankful .I know I'm beautiful. Never had a problem with getting the crush I liked ECT. . Our beauty is in our soul and body. I hate that some of us were bullied in school. We have ancient beauty that shows in our features. Be proud of your face . God made your beauty for a reason. ❤❤❤❤
I hated my nose so much , and literally half of my mental breakdowns were because of my nose. This comment section makes me feel so much better. Thank you ❤️
Please never worry about your nose! I'm a guy with a very "nice", small, idealized nose... but IMHO girls with hooked noses are beautiful and lovely! :)
Yes, please dont feel negatively about it. They're rare and absolutely gorgeous!! It breaks my heart when women with this nose get rhinoplasty. I am part of the population that is an absolute slave for women with this nose. I wish I could find a gf with one!
I heard that the bump was an evolutionary feature that allowed for more space in the nasal passage and the down-turned tip prevented dust or frost from entering the respiratory system.
@@leenam4909 that’s due to improper facial growth and bad tongue posture from childhood that causes asymmetry in the face. It happens to people with all kinds of noses.
I always wanted to have a cute button nose because womens‘ beauty standards are sooooo infantilized, let‘s be real. We‘re only supposed to look „grown up“ aka curves when it matters to men. Otherwise society expects us to have huge eyes tiny noses cute mouths, perfect hairless skin. I‘m pretty sick of it! Let‘s be more appreciative of different types of beauty!!
im American of Hungarian, Jewish, and Italian descent and i have a hook nose with a bulbous tip. Ive had people in the past try to hurt me by saying i should get a nose job and of course our selfie society takes a toll on me (the wide angle of the front facing camera makes it look even more pronounced) BUT i have people stop me on the street and tell me how beautiful it is. The older i get the more i know that my nose makes me stand out and makes me memorable. i want to set an example for other people who are self conscious about their noses that a nose is a nose and it's there to do a job not follow some beauty trend. I worry for young people when every celebrity seems to have one if not multiple nose jobs. If you have a big nose, listen, don't let an industry that profits off of telling you that you have a flaw and offering to fix that flaw for a huge amount of cash take away your unique features. I'm proud of my heritage and the genes that made this nose survived some horrible things before coming to America. Let's be proud!
I had a hooked nose and my grandmother convinced me to get it fixed. I really never had an issue with it until i was told something was “wrong” with it. Even my plastic surgeon told me it was beautiful. Lol Well you live and learn i guess.
Honestly thank you so much. My nose is hooked and crooked. Ever since I discovered your channel I feel better about myself but this is an insecurity of mine that is still bothering me. But after this video I think I was just overthinking about it. With social media and stuff like that I was feeling so bad about my nose, I was crying everyday and I always imagined the day I would change it. But now I realise is something really unique on me. And instead of trying covering it I should embrace it. Honestly thank you so much. You actually changed my life with your videos I can't thank you enough. Love u❤️🥺
I feel the same! My nose is weird, long, with a bump and also a rounded tip. It looks unusual both from the front and the side. I always hated it and wished I had the money to get surgery. But lately I started caring less about that. This video made me realize my nose is unique and it would be such a waste to get surgery and make it the same as everyone elses.
I like the term "Roman nose" or "aquiline" rather than hooked, sounds more elegant to me! One thing I noticed is that all of the lovely models shown here have strong jawlines and chins to balance their prominent noses. My chin is receding and my nose is prominent, makes me feel quite awkward :(
@@lechewinggum8491 Thanks for the tip but even Dr Mew admits the techniques don't work in adults! Their methodology was based on radical orthodontia for young children who still have unfused palates, once the bones have set it's just a matter of injectables or surgery. 🤷♀️
I don't know if this will help but there's been a couple actresses over the years that lost tons of work after getting nose jobs because they didn't like their hook shape maybe show her stuff like that so she realizes the uniqueness is a virtue not a burden.
Hello! I was just like your daughter when I was younger, because of beauty standards and because I saw no one considered as beautiful (celebrities, models, etc...) having a nose like mine. But growing up, I realized that it is actually boring how everyone tries to look exactly the same. So I decided that even if I don't see beautiful women with a nose like mine, I WILL be a beautiful woman with a nose like mine. Now instead of hiding it, I try to emphasize it by pulling back my hair from the temples, but letting the rest of my long wavy hair down, for example. Of course like she said in the video, it's not about focalizing on a single thing, but about harmony. Tell your daughter that if she has a great character, sparkling eyes, a good sense of style, that if she makes the most out of her overall potential, her nose will only be an original and admired cherry on top. It happened to me a few times to have people drawing me in public transports and telling me afterwards, or photographs asking me if they can take a few shots (I live in Paris, so there are a few artists wandering here). I really hope that your daughter will understand that this is, in fact, a blessing, because I sure wish I realized it sooner.
I’ve been struggling with my nose shape since the day I had the brilliant idea of facing two mirrors to see my side profile for the first time ever. I was just 8 or 9 and I literally gasped in disbelief 😂 10 years later I was in a tourist boat trip and there was a group of cute japanese old ladies who wouldn’t stop looking at me while gossiping vividly. I thought they were laughing at me until one of them shyly told me despite the language barrier that their noses were comically flat and mine was huge so they thought I was very pretty and beautiful. It was shooking to see people so culturally different to me with features I envied loving my biggest insecurity. Through the years I’ve learned that people don’t really pay attention to other’s details, we are all more busy thinking in our own complexes. Youth is too short to mortify ourselves because of a beautiful ancestral nose just because it doesn’t fit in modern beauty standards! Embrace your heritage girls 😊
same beginning story...except it was we were drawing eachothers profiles in elementary school off of our shadows....i was in tears when i saw mine and hated it for years, thot i looked like a witch, i was so unbelievably embarrassed. now im cool with it, but it took me years tho. even my hubby always told me he loved it and took me forever to believe him, thot he was just trying to b nice to me. What made me feel like that for sooooo long? its so sad when i think about how low my self esteem was because of my nose!
I love Aly's take on this and all things beauty. Her opinion is usually not like the typical mainstream. I had a nose job when I was 20 b/c had an aquiline nose. I miss my old nose. I am soft classic and I remember the surgeon telling me I was too petite for that nose. I am 35 now and I look at women with different or larger noses as beautiful.
Wow, so many people actually likes hooked noses? I had no idea, I always thought that it makes me look like a witch and I'm just ready for Halloween all year along 😅🤣🤣
Same 😭 I’ve been conditioned to feel like this due to all of the constant comments like “witch nose”, “Jew nose”, etc.. But at the end of the day, my nose is unique!
I had a bully call me "witch nose" when I got a pimple on my nose. She sent a happy birthday a few years later on facebook. Maybe they change, but those memories remain.
Thank you for making this video, for the longest time I was super self conscious about my nose especially when I was younger. I remember being told I looked like a bird but as I’ve gotten older I’ve come to find my hooked nose to be elegant.
Omg I also had bird comments! There was this parrot called pretty polly in our school textbook and a girl would always tease me and say we have the same nose
I have hooked nose, Im 37 and just now starting to actually like my features! I gotta say I LOVE your vídeos and the way you see beauty. You're the best 💗💜🦋
Just so you know, I am someone who’s always wanted your nose shape! I find my own very generic and boring, while I find noses with a bump/hooked noses to be a very attractive trait! And it shows when you look through my relationship history, it’s the one thing I can think of that is ”my type” appearance wise. Own your unique beauty, there are people like me that wish we had your nose shape 💕
I can’t thank you enough. For the past couple of years, I have started paying attention to my nose. It’s hooked, has a bump on the top, but it looks small from the front. I used to hate it a lot and wanted to get a nose job when I grew older. But after watching this video, my self confidence really got up and I feel better :) I’m very grateful. Edit: I missed to add a point: in all cartoons , literally every single villain has a hooked nose, which is just cruel and teaches young children that people with hooked noses are bad.
Good point about it being associated with villains; "the bad guy". The bad guy is usually supposed to be ugly and off-putting and yeah, it's not a great connotation for people with noses like ours.
Very very proud of my nose, even though my mother wanted me to "correct it". For me it's the nose of pharaons, emperors and prophets too, very aristocratic 😉
If that is you in your profile pic your nose suits you so well! I could see your profile sculpted on a coin or smth, very regal features! There's absolutely nothing wrong to "correct", you look really cool as you are.
I'm in the same situation. I like my nose, but my parents wants me to do a surgery nose. They didn't understand my position. 😞. And do you continue have your natural nose?
Ikr??!! All my life being ashamed of my nose, trying to find angles and stuff to make it "look smaller" :( this comment section fills my heart with love💗
I've always loved a good honker on anyone. It gives so much character and personality. I really loathe all the fake tiny weird pencil thin plastic surgery noses.
I second that. I really enjoyed people's natural noses. It works so wonderfully with their other features. I very rarely see plastic surgery before & afters, and think there was any improvement needed.
gillian anderson is so gorgeous with her hooked nose and i can’t imagine her with a straight nose tbh. especially her in x-files as dana scully.. she’s a goddess
AMEN--lol Seriously, I just absolutely love and super appreciate your perspective and voice when it comes to the more unconventional concepts of beauty ❤️ You don't go with the whole insincere coined phrases like "all women are perfect and beautiful"--your videos are specific with intelligent, articulate opinions, which feels so much more genuine and heartfelt:)
i've always struggled with my hooked nose because people always make fun of the way I look because of it but this video and the comments are boosting my self-esteem a bit haha.. i didn't realize people like hooked noses.. :')
The best way to feel better about your nose is to not give ANY reaction to anyone who says something offensive. By walking away and not acknowledging them or their stupid opinion it shuts them down. They're sending out an attack to steal some of your energy, and so by not raising your voice or getting into a state of shame, sadness or anger you keep your energy and they are left to attack someone else's energy who reacts
Once in a disco a guy came to me and told me I have a beautiful nose. I was shocked as I always wanted cosmetic surgery. It reminded me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And sometimes my beauty lies in somebody else's eyes before I see it too.
I wish I had seen this video 30 years ago before deciding to have a nose job. I said it was for the deviated septum that made it harder to breath, but really it was to get rid of the little bump that I was so self-conscious about. So dumb! When I look back at old pictures, I see that my then nose was perfectly fine, dignified and unique. Should have kept it. Giving up wheat/grains and dairy is what I needed to help me breath better. Be proud of whatever nose and other permanent features you have, because self-confidence, being comfortable with yourself, imperfections and all, are the real secret sauce of attractiveness. And those things stay with you even once your youthful beauty has inevitably faded.
I wish I would’ve had someone like you to make me feel like I am good enough with my nose. I always felt like I was ugly because of my nose, even though I have a handsome husband who tells me I’m beautiful , I never believed it. Childhood teasing can do a great deal of damage to someone’s self esteem.
This video and the comments are doing wonders to my self confidence... I have a slightly hooked nose, just like my mother who is part greek / mostly russian. I am definitely more comfortable with my nose shape now 💞
😕 It's my hope you can come to love your nose along with the rest of your body. I was over 50 years old before I realized I don't have big feet (size 7) or huge ears. My mother had small size 5 feet & small ears. So she was always telling me how my feet were so big & my ears were so huge. My younger sister, her favorite because she was a redhead, had the same size ears & wore the same size shoes, yet all that was ever said about her was how beautiful & dainty she was! When she passed away & I inherited most of her clothes, I was shocked to find out she was actually a size larger than me, except in bra size. Besides, who we are as a person is far more important than any physical features. ☮️💫🌹
@@goodintentions1302Oh, it sounds awful to always be compared to your sister and neglected by your mother... See, I don't hate mine, I just think it isn't the most flattering on me though I think I'm beautiful (not a model but pretty). I just feel like a "normal" nose is prettier on me
@@zoetseitline5983 I don’t like that my nose is soft and prominent but my upper lip is sharp and small. My lower lip is full and round so it looks off. My upper canine teeth came out late. My adult teeth arrived higher than they should be due to my baby teeth sitting under the late adult teeth so it caused my upper lip to have more dents where the teeth erupted and thus look “sharper” and the dainty ness of my upper lip doesn’t match the rest of my face.
I have Southern Italian, Latin American, and Arabic ancestry. Growing up I felt so self-conscious about my prominent nose. After finding this channel, learning that I am flamboyant gamine, and seeing more representation of women with this kind of nose, I've learned to love this feature I have. I used to want to be round and voluptuous and dressed like that. Only after wearing my lines, I saw how well the sharp nose fit my long limbs and dry lines of my type. Now I love seeing this nose on other women too and think it looks so regal.
Everytime I see (especially) a girl with a hooked nose I think it brings so much character and beauty to the face. Almost like a high fashion feature. This comes from a girl with a upturned short ass nose:( I'm so jealous
I love noses like this! It gives so much character to a face and it’s the one thing I can see that would be ”my type” when it comes to appearance. Almost all my relationships have been with people with hooked noses 😍
The sad thing is, that people receive hate for something they can't change or didn't choose to get. Body features shouldn't be a place to hate, since every body is an individual and special and not a free ticket for haters
Thank you a lot for this video, I really needed that! I'm an owner of hooked and big nose, I always didn't like it and I was made fun of it :( At my work I even heard a conversation, that this kind of nose looks good only at men and women should have tiny and straight noses... It really made me sad. Now I learn to embrace it.
I used to get bullied so much for having a hooked nose. It sometimes still bothers me because side on I feel I look ugly but front on I look better. But thank you for this video :)
every time i watch your videos i feel a bit better about myself! thank you for helping me love myself 💖 your channel always helps me appreciate my own beauty and you taught me so many things! you're amazing :)
I watched this video as it came out and came across it today. The ONLY video that made me stop being insecure about my nose. This woman is so smart and gives amazing advice on so many topics. ❤
I have really never cosidered hooked noses to be attractive except on people of middle eastern/ north african descent. After this video I see how beautiful it really is. Even on my tiny pale white face :^)
I love this! My best friend has the most beautiful hooked nose and it just emphasises how delicate and fairy-like she is, she wears it with pride, it's her signature look. I think these videos are inspiring and positive. I have hooded eyes and have always loved how they give my expressions an enigmatic look. "Flaws" are poetry.
It's funny, I actually have hooded eyelids and a bump on my nose, though it looks like a cute little button nose from the front. I used to hate my hooded lids and always wished I "had eyelids" (I hate that term. For example, women with small boobs saying they have no boobs. No bitch, ya do. Just because they're small doesn't mean they don't qualify as boobs. I actually had my nephew straight up ask me why I didn't really have boobs even though I was a grown up and oh my god, I went off on his ass for probably 20 minutes before I went to my room and sobbed. If you're petite, EVEN IF you have curves because you have an hourglass figure ((like me)), if you don't have a big ol' ass and big tits, you "look like a little boy" and "aren't womanly enough. It means you "weren't blessed". It breaks my heart and makes me feel like I'm not what society deems as a real woman) but as I got older, I realized they actually add to my beauty and are something unique about me. They add character. I've also noticed people with hooded eyelids have this stunning intense look about them, like think leo decaprio. Maybe brooding is the right word? Anyways, thank you for having a love for noses like mine. It's news to me that ANYONE sees that shit as beautiful. ❤️ I have such an appreciation for my fellow people who see asymmetries and quirky features as beautiful rather than through the scope of "you'd be pretty if you didn't have/did have xyz". People who fall into the trap of desiring women and men who fit the category of "ideal" or "perfection" don't know what true beauty is. That's my belief, anyhow. "Perfect" is boring as balls, my dude. Like yeah, people like Kim K. are (probably) undeniably attractive/pretty but is she my kind idea of what physical beauty truly is? No. BORING. Cookie cutter isn't cute to me. Where's the character? What makes you special? What makes you stand out? What makes you different? What makes you interesting? What makes you YOU? Straight up.
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I've been insecure about my hooked nose since I can remember but lately I've been starting to see the beauty in it. I'm definitely gonna use these tips
Beautiful message in this video❤️ I really appreciate the fact that you often talk about beauty tips according to what a person is trying to achieve, and not assuming that everybody wish to conceal a prominent nose/jaw/head shape etc. Thank you!
Tip for women with hooked noses (from someone with a lightly hooked nose) avoid fringe and framing pieces around your nose. Keep bangs, if you have them, above the eye, any hair framing your face should fall somewhere under your nose. Any hair falling right at your nose will draw the eye to it, so if you want to draw attention away from it, draw that attention somewhere else. Bangs just above the eyes brings attention to the eyes, hair just at or just below the jaw will draw the eye there. Etc
I have a small nose with the typical "straight" bridge, but I have always loved the hooked nose! It's so beautiful and I can't stop myself from admiring it when I see one. Whoever has it: please think twice before getting a nose job, you have no idea how charming it can be!
Thank you...I think this is the first time I have ever heard someone celebrate a bump or hook nose. I had insecurities as a child but as I age I have come to accept my looks much more. It was so good to see your post featuring so many beautiful women who also have a bump nose. I wish I had things like this to watch as a teenager. THANKS AGAIN 😊💕
I know you guys probably hear this all the time but you weren’t made to look like anyone else and that is beautiful in itself. Every woman is a goddess and I think that hooked noses are kind of majestic and powerful
i have a hooked nose and i'm happy to say that i've only really hated it when i was around the age of 12-14. i've definitely come to be more appreciative of it the older i got and my side view/profile has even become my favorite angle for myself for years now
OMG so grateful, when I was a teenager I hated my nose to the point of thinking about damaging it so it will get fixed. Then I went to being ok and now I realized it's something that other Women find beautiful. MINDBLOWN
WoW, thank you Aly! My only regret is that one of not have met you sooner!!! I lived my life with this nose and with a serious complex of it. My adorable but bully older half-sister broke the major bone of my nose when I was roughly nine years old; she along with two other big girls smashed my face into a big wall made of Lava rock just to assert her own superiority over me, I bled for days and my injured nose turned bigger, black and blue along with one eye, it took a long time to physically ricover from that trauma...although I carried that trauma inside most of my youth; she was so proud of it and she kept bully me even in words making fun of my nose, bringing it up every chances she had among her friends just for fun and, of course, making everything even more difficult to forgive that episode...I grew up not liking my nose but I also never really showed how uncomfortable I actually was with it...and yet, the men that loved me also loved my nose and every inch and ounces of me, and that gave me the confidence and realization to know that I might be a little different, but there are qualities of myself which can make that imperfection disappear. It's crazy that I feel like that about my own nose, and yet, I think that everybody else is looking good even with a hooked nose, how funny is that!!! Thank you for highlighting this issue, it's nice to hear this coming from a woman, I found it to be kind of liberating and somehow even soothing, thank you dear!
this almost made me cry - happiness ofc i’ve been feeling bad about my nose since someone pointed it out in middle school- but i more recently feel good and confident about my appearance DESPITE my nose instead of FOR my nose as well. i’ve always thought my nose looked greek ish / dramatic in a good way- but i’ve never been told that or heard that.. it’s really validating to see others say it :)
You don’t know who much this means to me. I just- my nose has been the center of what makes me feel insecure, even though I find people with my nose beautiful it’s difficult for me to feel the same for myself. I tried to find comfort online, expecting maybe videos explaining how there could be beauty in my hooked nose and all I found was… rhinoplasty, massages to remove nose bump,etc/ it made me feel so discouraged but you were the only video that I found that told me it was in fact beautiful
I love hooked noses! People with these types of noses look so beautiful and I never understood why women with hook noses hated them so much! Their nose makes them look so elegant and unique!! ❤️
This was really nice 🥺 I went looking for contouring methods for roman/Greek noses and honestly happier I found this instead. Styling presented in such a positive manner is so refreshing
I have also hooked nose and I always loved it, it was always something people can recognize my face accordingly, something what is original just for me.
My mother had just recently gotten a rhinoplasty and she’s pointed out that she woudl be open to paying for me if I wanted rhinoplasty… he removing a feature of herself that we share, makes me feel as If I also need to conform… this video means so much
I had a friend with a hooked and prominent nose. Superficially I had the impression that it was unattractive (probably cultural conditioning), but deep down there was something to her face that I just couldn't dislike. She also has long curly hair and an easygoing, warm and fun personality. Now whenever I think about her I imagine she could be a perfect flowers nymph, I associate her to spring, I don't know why lol. She manages to have a cute and delicate vibe even being a kinda strong looking woman with that prominent feature. You really gotta look at the whole picture
I am 38 yo and I have always hated my nose until I watched this video. People have always made horrible comments but now I realised that they lack the depth and understanding of beauty in uniqueness. A big, hooked nose add character, flair and strength to the profile of your face whereas the smaller noses just make you blend in and disappear. I’ve always been bullied because of my unique look and thanks to this video, I love my face more. Thank you ❤️🙏🏽. The devil is a liar people
In highschool I had a young teacher with extremely, just enormously huge hooked nose. Deapite this she also had the most beautiful eyes..her entire face was just beautiful. I imagined how she would look like with small nose..probably pretty too. But she would loose all her personality, her uniqueness. That was a really big nose...And I have impression that people with hooked noses have very beautiful eyes and smart sight.
I typed a wrong search and accidentally found this! Hey! You are that singer on the other channel! I never know you made this too! What a surprise! Subscribed!
Thank you for addressing this! I'm feeling more confident about my Italian nose :) I dont know if it is considered hooked, but I do have a bump/notch, and I'm learning to love and embrace it!
I also always thought, that a hooked nose has something aesthetic somehow. I like it and think that it is a shame that it is often more seen as a flaw because it truely is not
Whenever I'm wearing a high ponytail (usually on a bad hair day haha) people tell me that I look better than usual or that I look like a completely different person.. soo I guess it's because of my hooked nose then ;D
I have a friend, she has a beautiful hooked nose and big eyes with a beautiful shape. She usually has a slick ponytail and has the perfect makeup with a precise eyeliner. I'd love to portray here because she looks so mysterious, she looks like an owl! 😍
I agree and have always agreed that large or hooked noses are beautiful. I have taught my children this! I am anti-cosmetic surgery. Kudos for making this video!
Aly you just made me love myself! Hated my nose before, now I can see that just because something is outside of mainstream doesn't make it ugly. Clearly tons of beautiful women out there with this feature and they would lose their beauty if they changed this. Thank you ❤
Does anyone else feel this way? I have a hooked nose but also a weak, small chin. I feel so insecure about it because whenever people compliment this nose type it is always with photos of women with strong chins. So I feel like the beauty of hooked noses doesn't apply to me. I've felt bad about this my whole life!

What if your hooked nose is asymmetrical?
This is the first time in my 37 years I've heard/read positivity about hooked noses and I think I'm going to cry.
Same 😣😭
❤️
😭😭i feel ya hunny
I have always loved / found extremely beautiful girls with "hooked" nose... I'm a male, with small, symmetrical shaped nose.
don't cry, I love those noses!
I think this kind of nose shape is gonna trend soon i have a feeling
Probably, new trends are usually the contrary of the past trend and right now the trend has been pointy small nose
Yeah I think so too
I've been thinking this recently!! Hooked and more promenant noses in general especially on women...
Agreed
It’s already trending in more niche areas so yes, i just wish people didn’t make fun or hated on straight or slope noses
Where's my hooked nose girls at?
Here 👋 but I hate mine.
Heyyy
Woop woop 🙋🏼♀️ I have a huge one 😂
Heyy✌
HERE!!!
Usually, Women with Roman noses look super sophisticated and have a more dramatic aura.
Oh God, I'm still traumatized from years ago a man saying to me "You have a Roman nose- it's roamin all over your face" It's awful how things stay with us.
😡
You should be proud about your Roman nose
And don't understand why people think that in Greece , big noses considered beautiful but it is not, Greek women who have sharp and untilted nose considered beautiful . I don't hate your so called Roman nose but it is a myth about Roman standard
@schneeroseful You just made my night 😭 I’ve been binge watching non-surgical nose jobs all night and now you’ve got me reconsidering.
In Amir Khan's movie Ghajini there is so beautiful actress with this aristocrat look nose.
I learnt Asin Thottumkal, she is one of the most beautiful woman.
I don't have a hooked nose but I have always found them to be a STUNNING feature on people. Be proud of your strong nose, girls!
Thank youuu!!💕💕😢
I know, me too. I’ve always considered these noses beautiful

I wished my girlfriend has a hooked nose
It's weird, cus I dislike my nose, but I find other girls with my nose shape super pretty! Same with guys, I love a prominent, hooked nose on a man, it's extremely attractive to me. Does anyone else feel like this?
I do too because my nose is wide and shapeless from the front. If it was thinner I would’ve liked it.
It changed so much ❤️
Agree with every word you say!!!
Adrien Brody 😍
Same. I dislike my nose cause it is too long for my face and looks like Squidward’s. If it is proportional it looks cool.
I loved her to death.
she sounds so cool
She sounds ethereal
Have you told her about this?
Sounds like me 😩
Instead of saying gypsy how about just say nomad!
This comment section is heaven for people who hate their hooked nose, so many kind and beautiful words to give more confidence ❤️
Yes!!! 💯
It's sad that some people need their traits to be "trendy" or appreciated before they can start loving them. We should love ourselves without the *need* for someone to tell us how beautiful and worthy we are.
Soo trueee.. can't stop crying
My mother had a beautiful hooked nose and she had a pretty little diamond piercing too!
This exactly. It is actually healing for those of us with our hooked noses.
I have not realized hooked noses are considered unattractive untill maybe last year or two years ago. I was really shocked because I've been jealous of these noses for most of my life
Lmao 1st time I hear these😂
Me too! I have a pug nose.
Seriously? I've tried so hard to conceal the shape of my nose since I was a teen 😳
It’s from years of being called ugly by guys😭 One time at work a man came in and asked why I had not gotten my nose fixed 😂
Yes i love that comment from her
Well you are lucky .....

you are absolutely stunning! and considering my nose is similar you're inspiring me to get a pixie cut

Same here!!
I do love these noses. They have character and beautiful lines!
But then I had some people telling me it’s beautiful, and I believe them now 😃
Yeah me too
I've always always found hooked, greek, straight and very high noses to be such a gorgeous and jaw-dropping feature on women. personally im not very drawn to itty bitty button noses that are so popular in our beauty standards. If u have a strong nose I beg that you show it off because it is truly majestic. Great Video Aly XX
This is such a sweet comment... thank you 🥺💞
I'm conflicted.
@IGotsSoMuchRhythm Thank you, you have some solid points! I appreciate it 😊
@@mariannek6735 Maybe you can find someone who can change your nose in photoshop?

I don't think that's true. A lot of times, hooked noses are caused incorrect breathing (mouthbreathing instead of nasal breathing).
We‘re only supposed to look „grown up“ aka curves when it matters to men. im American of Hungarian, Jewish, and Italian descent and i have a hook nose with a bulbous tip.

Our hooked noses are beautiful!!
I like the term "Roman nose" or "aquiline" rather than hooked, sounds more elegant to me! One thing I noticed is that all of the lovely models shown here have strong jawlines and chins to balance their prominent noses. My chin is receding and my nose is prominent, makes me feel quite awkward :(
Try "mewing" it helps with receding chins
@@lechewinggum8491 Thanks for the tip but even Dr Mew admits the techniques don't work in adults! Their methodology was based on radical orthodontia for young children who still have unfused palates, once the bones have set it's just a matter of injectables or surgery. 🤷♀️

Thanks a lot for appreciating nose shapes. My daughter wants plastic surgery bc she has hooked nose but I can show her your video.

I have such an appreciation for my fellow people who see asymmetries and quirky features as beautiful rather than through the scope of "you'd be pretty if you didn't have/did have xyz".
Btw, I love how you said "fairy-like". That's how my boyfriend describes me; as some kind of beautiful woodland fairy/elven goddess, hahaha 🥹❤️
Etc
Can't agree more. I used to have a short bob with a straight full fringe and looking back I can't believe how massive my head looked.
I've always thought it gave a signature strong and regal look which is stunning for both women and men, it's really attractive!
MINDBLOWN
Bookmarking this video to watch again, whenever I feel ugly because of my nose.
Aly you literally helped heal my eating disorder by showing me how to embrace the beauty i have right now
This is probably the best video I've ever seen on this topic. Thank you!!!
Thank you for highlighting this issue, it's nice to hear this coming from a woman, I found it to be kind of liberating and somehow even soothing, thank you dear!
this almost made me cry - happiness ofc
i’ve been feeling bad about my nose since someone pointed it out in middle school- but i more recently feel good and confident about my appearance DESPITE my nose instead of FOR my nose as well. i’ve always thought my nose looked greek ish / dramatic in a good way- but i’ve never been told that or heard that.. it’s really validating to see others say it :)
My mother had just recently gotten a rhinoplasty and she’s pointed out that she woudl be open to paying for me if I wanted rhinoplasty… he removing a feature of herself that we share, makes me feel as If I also need to conform… this video means so much
I’ve always loved this nose on a female ( I do not have it). ALL of my female friends with this nose had it “fixed.” I found it curious.
Yes and most women that do, after look very separate from their nose. Just keep it.
Finally some positivity about hooked noses!! Thank you for your video; you can't know what this will do for some peoples confidence.
I also always thought, that a hooked nose has something aesthetic somehow. I like it and think that it is a shame that it is often more seen as a flaw because it truely is not
Thank you so much for this video
Whenever I'm wearing a high ponytail (usually on a bad hair day haha) people tell me that I look better than usual or that I look like a completely different person.. soo I guess it's because of my hooked nose then ;D
I will always come back to the comment section of this video. So soothing. Thanks for making this Video Aly x
I’d love to see some Kibbe videos on the line sketches and creating silhouettes based off of those.
This warms my heart! Seeing Claudia Black as an example made it perfect
I love Big hooked noses. They are really aristocratic and elegant! You look like royalty
I would love to have a nose like this.
Aly you just made me love myself! Hated my nose before, now I can see that just because something is outside of mainstream doesn't make it ugly. Clearly tons of beautiful women out there with this feature and they would lose their beauty if they changed this. Thank you ❤
Mine is a constant source of pain for me. The stares are the worst. It's almost driven me to end my life.
my nose is upturned and i'm jalous of hooked noses it's so so pretty and particular. I think it gives a very sophisticated vibe to the face
Start mewing. It will certainly help, but noticeable results will probably take a year or two.
