I know this is about selling but cheesecake gives 5% bonus for buying after you sell all that swag and need some goodies.
When you bring your truck load of goodies to the trade and be like: "Alright, all my shit for your quality 6 solar cell!"
Great tips! One thing I would change though. Don't scrap every pipe/spring. Punch cotton as you travel and turn your pipes/springs/cotton and cloth into Old Beds. They stack high and sell for BOATLOADS of dukes. Scrap the excess and turn that into ammo.
Where do you craft old beds? All I can craft is King Size beds.
@@kallekorn2897 You're right! Looks like they removed Old Beds in a20. You can still do it with King Size though, it's the same basic ingredients just wood added. 520 dukes per bed, with the mats being valued at 139. Still a worthy craft!
Minibike Handlebars are a great source of cash too!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, some of those items can only be found in the wild by stripping down cars and beds; IE the Springs.
@@kallekorn2897 I just noticed that last night, not that I even did the old beds. Until I can make an King Size Bed.
About springs: You can't craft them, but harvesting a bed gives a huge amount compared to cars, so don't worry about them.
@Mateusz Abramczyk I've never really had a pipe shortage; they can be crafted too so I wouldn't worry about them.
@@therealbahamut it's useful when you just started and want to craft a forge. I beleive it's 3 pipes for forge. But as you said once you have a forge it's not a problem anymore.
@@user-eq3qf6ty6u Yeah even without a forge it's not long before I'm swimming in pipes and while you DO need them for things, you eventually run out of things to build with them. Springs on the other hand go in grenades which, no matter what else you use, you'll always have need for more of if you use them.
fuck n-a, good to know. thanks brotha
@@therealbahamut Pipes are very easy to get if you know where to look. Some of the plumbing on the walls of buildings can actually give pipes, as well as AC units if I remember correctly... (Don't quote me on the AC one, I barely look at what I get since I rip so much stuff apart.)
However, sinks and toilets can for sure give you some pipes, however they take *forever* to break down (Especially toilets due to them being considered 'stone' meaning seemingly less damage)
Just gotta say that your content is awesome, man! You dive so deep into this game to do research and present it in such a clear way. All this info in a two minute video, no time wasted. Top tier stuff, my man.
One of the things that people tend to forget is scrap polymers. If you keep track of them, they sell for 3 dukes a piece but stack up to 1000 in vanilla. Great easy early game money IMO pretty safe to get too.
A21 has changed the formula to lead instead of steel for robotic turret ammo.
-*walks into trader hughs*
-"hey sh!t-f%ck wanna buy a facken drawbridge?"
-Hugh: "how would you even get that in here"
*opens large pocket*
I actually have 3 in here! 😂
Is that a drawbridge in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Oh man thanks for this too! Gotta say I'm addicted to your frostbite series
That's what's up Tem! I love it... this is the beautiful little secrets and tricks we all need so we can make this game more fun! Your content is top notch and completely amazing bro, keep making it! 🤘🤩🤘
I discovered you a couple days ago and wow I’m addicted, already made my way through half of Vanguard!
Wow enjoy! And welcome 😁
Dude. You're in for a treat on his The Road series.
Thanks GNS, always great information. If you are needing BULLETS then smelting brass in the FORGE is how you make BULLET CASINGS, it will use 6 brass to make ONE bullet casing. One casing for one bullet is a general rule. SMELTING a RADIATOR in the FORGE gives you 250 brass. If you SCRAP the Radiator then you will only get 187 Brass. CANDLE STICKS are the next highest yield to use in the Forge.
So always keep some brass for the forge depending on what AMMO you will require in your type of game. Hope this info is useful. Regards to all.
Format of those videos just literally couldnt be better, 10/10
Some early game options are to make coolers and paint brushes too.
I didn't know about the drawbridges!
Love this pro tip series very well done and very helpful thank you :D
Glad to hear it!
Great tips, the pick I have with this is that you don’t get all these bargaining items in each playthrough so sometimes you’ve got to choose wisely to sell your stuff. One playthrough I kept finding bottles of those Range buff items all the time and then the next playthrough not a single one or items to buff up my bargaining skills. So don’t always sell everything instantly you find it somewhere.
Tip, when doing the salvaging method (definitely recommend), you can scrap engines for an 8 Duke loss. This helps when you have 30 engines to sell, you can sell 3 then scrap the other 27 at a negligible loss and much more time friendly than visiting 9 other traders.
The "Like & Sub" in the toolbar is epicly subliminal.
well made! keep it up
Great content!
Only 7D2D creator I have actually enjoyed. Keep it up!
Besides Neebs Gaming, But I loved them long before.
Hahaha great vid mate! Very much appreciated even tho i know most of that stuff. I never averaged salving cars xD or never new brass sells better than items themselves.
Your content is freaking fire seriously
Thanks for the tips, some of those I had never thought of.
Those tips are pure gold
This was extremely helpful. Thanks!
Bust open those ATM Machines, you'll find them in banks, post offices and parking garages, they are seriously OP.
With salvage operations you should be getting mechanical parts, electrical parts, scrap polymers, car batteries, oil, pipes and springs too, they are all around 6 dukes each at 1 BB and you literally get hundreds of each per POI and you can sell around 2000 items each before they stop buying them.
Simple and precise information. I can get as rich as Traitor Joel now too. Excellent ending.
Also: you can break into ATMs and break DOWN parking meters. At level 3 salvage operator I was pulling springs, mechanical parts, iron scrap and 8 dukes a shot from parking meters.
Oh fuck yea, i had no idea about the brass selling more than the original items. Thanks Tem!
Awesome tips man
Short and good video. I'd add that there is a candy bar that bosts bater and some pie. Usually I store crap for sale and then sell it having all bosts enabled.
He covered the candy in the bonuses (Sugar Butts) but didn't the pie. However, this was about selling, so the pie is irrelevant as it gives 5% discount to buying.
"Meds, drugs, boobs. I got it all."
-Trader Jen
Very nice ending. I actually learned a lot in this one. I only sell schematics and a few other little things. I am a super duper hoarder. I keep everything I get from tearing down a car.
Very nice shorty!!!
What about a lead scraping comparrison for selling purposes like you did for brass. should i scrap the lead items or not?
Fantastic outro lol. Curious if you know of any creators that have used the game as a Rp sandbox? Thank you
A little longer about brass is to melt it in a forge( with bellows and anvil ) and taking it back, more brass that way than scraping from your inventory.
And more brass to sell is more money.
- Scrooge McDuck
Be smarter than the smarties
I'm seeing very specific looting processes to avoid scraping. There are more than 4 forms of brass, so to avoid scraping while looting any (you have to get it from the POI to your forge) means other items aren't carried. Do you recommend entering a POI multiple times to remove specific loot types? Do you make a storage box per POI and make multiple trips out of the POI?
I've played 1500 hrs+ since Alpha 8 (?) and I'm finding the brass item received from wrenching the heating pipes in steam heating homes seems to supply sufficient brass on its own for my insatiable bullet casings need. I'm still scraping all other brass items on obtaining. I run out of gunpowder or lead tips before brass every time. Maybe I haven't lived long enough.
@@ernestcote3398 You're right if it's for bullet casing scraping on the flly is enough. Here, the goal is to make as much money as possible, so yes melting will give you more brass( and yes also take more inventory room and more time). Don't know about Alpha20 ratio, but if I remember correctly if you scrap you'll only get around 70% of brass, iron and lead against 100% if you melt.( can be wrong about 70 %, don't remember the exact number)
@@marcuskylemarcuskyle222 I believe the amount was 25% and haven't seen or heard different. I just love the ways this game gives you options and choices. It's only in MP I seem to have issues 🙂
minibike handlebars are worth a crapload of dukes and you can make them from materials you get from breaking down cars.
"Swindle like a pro" ... priceless
Those ATMs are crazy. Found better than 2,000 old cash in that one in the parking garage near the police station up north.
You forgot the cheesecake for +5% bartering too...
You forgot to mention that each trader only purchases 3 copies of each item, and selling more would require another trader.
If you're having issues selling engines because of this, you can scrap them into 30 mechanical parts. You lose a LITTLE bit of value, but not much - I think about 8 dukes per engine this way.
And ammo I don't think there is a limit to how much traders will buy
It's 3 stacks per trading cycle, so there's some wiggle room. Obviously on items that don't stack that limit is still a real pain. In my experience though, with 2-3 traders you can sell just about anything faster than you can craft it.
@@michaelknightmustdie 3 stacks for stackable items, 3 copies for items that don't stack, like gear.
Need to check but I believe it resets really quickly, like the next day you can already trade the same item again. But I have to check, could be it is when the inventory restocks. this also gets reset. Would make sense as I often sell stuff around the restocking date to get some money for good new stuff.
maybe a totally dumb question, but how to change the layout of food and water, like you have? :/
Pumpkin cheesecake has a bonus for bartering.
Mining is a great way to earn money during night time..!
4 points in each mining skill + 3 points in sexy rex + level 5 iron pickaxe + 1 rockbuster = enough metal to craft 6 stacks of turret ammo.
2 points in better barter + sugar butts = 2100 dukes per stack of turret ammo.
With 4 points in miner 69er, a level 5 fireaxe with 3 mods oneshots the weaker zombies on nomad difficulty. By using this as a melee weapon in the early game, you can upgrade both your weapon and tool skill with the miner 69er perk. This means that you have more points to put into sexy rex, and eventually motherload. "Get rich quick" 🤑
Once i get a chemstation ill have so much ammo that the M60 seems like the only logical choice. Brass is often an issue, but with mining skills, i can scrap a few thousand dukes for the brass without even thinking twice about it 🤘
Good tips, I've got 1,300 hours in this game and never considered the XP boost from Nerdy Glasses
Yeah, that and Old Beds. ^^ Plus Turret Ammo.
Salvage a room full of electrical panels. You don't hardly ever see anyone do that - takes time. But you can find a boatload of electrical parts you can sell in some of the POI's.
I didn't have to do much mining at all early-game because I was salvaging stuff from doing quests -- just strip everything you can from a POI and you'll be swimming in Dukes from selling most of it.
I haven't been trying to make money - just playing it normally without any cheese. Still got stacks of Dukes.
Very useful!
I think there's also a pumpkin pie recipe which increases barter in some capacity.
Plus 5% while selling 👍
I get money by just getting lucky with ATMs, I mark every atm I come across on my map and once when me and my friend were looting I had found a atm and wanted it open for the paper cash because I can sell it for at minimum 1 duke per paper and you get like 2k paper cash.
But instead of that when he opened it we ended up somehow finding nearly 60k dukes inside and he said that he saw some weird effect when he did, idk what the effect was but whatever it was seems to have just suddenly given him a bunch of cash because it went away when he opened the atm
Bruh the ending 💀
Sadly, desert vulture does no give you the added discount a magnum does. :(
I love those draw bridges, but I've found with one point into lockpicking, you can turn 2dukes worth of forged iron and 6 dukes worth of one mechanical part into, at my level, 21 dukes worth of a lockpick! the other is repair kits. duct tape is worth 5 but a repair kit, with one forged iron again, is 39 dukes! sure, take apart cars, sell off exess engines, [once you've got about 20...how many more do you need?] I've heard the vehicle things are good sellers, like minibike handlebars, and the like. but I'm also good with anything that has a high sell value per ingredient value, and is easy to get more of.
I'm thinking of a new way to make money early on is to just sprint through the city and loot mailboxes and sell off all of the extra books that you find
later you can sell pumpkin bread for 300+ a stack one 3 stacks a restock period btw
I just dismantle all the electronics in pois and that works really well.
pumpkin cheesecake also add better barter bonus
Playing w friends, we have an issue with Bartering being in the strength skill. I like to be the quest guy, going in with perception (and a little stamina), looting it up, then taking it back, yet I can't convert, I have to dump into a box and the strength guy goes to the trader. This disrupts my constant need to see the trader for quests and turn in loot for cash or different loot. Is the looter supposed to be the strength guy, so they survive zombie contact?
But bartering is an intelligence skill, isn't it?
@@ScarletQuiver5856 yes, for lack of look up I confused the Strength tree having the extra pack slots for bartering with the trader.
Yup, just looking... Well it is the apocalypse after all 🤪
Do pumpkin cheese cake not give a boost anymore then?
How about the Pumpkin Cheesecake? This or the other Pumpkin Pie also boost Trade bonus, right? Or do those override with the trade Tonic that gives 20% ?
The delicious and delectable pumpkin cheesecake only buffs for buying not selling unfortunately
@@birdmananyweather1681 Ahh so I remembered it wrong. Haven't seen a Pumpkin in a long while, I guess I got clouded. Thanks for clarifying :D
Scrapping school buses and service trucks are FAT STACKS of dukes
Car parts in general (radiators, batteries etc.) rake you In a lot of profit
i wasn't looking.... i was staring :)
You sir , i like your content . here my subscription
I die to much run around with a club and the money is gone then it’s to dark to find the backpack.
Haha the end clip
LMFAO! He just punched her on the tlt
Nothing beats sell rep kits.
you can also sell the small stones you get from mining at 1800 dukes per stack of 6000 small stones
But who would sell stones? That's almost like selling clay soil, the most valuable resources for building/smelting :o
Then again, I wouldn't sell brass or springs either.
@@DerMichael yes it is but early game it can help out alot but only stones and sand is worth selling soil isnt worth anything
@@shaunhayes3072 You will have more cement looting/mining palets than crushing stone in the forge. it's a waste of time.
@@Spinlayer Agreed. I found enough cement to build two reasonable size bases, one to work in and the other for hordes. I did put some in the forge out of habit when I ran low but it wasn't necessary, couple more POIs later and plenty of cement mix again. There's probably too many pallets in the game at this point, makes smelting stone pointless... provided you collect it. Some POIs you can take a few thousand cement out with you from there alone.
you forgot the pumpkin cheesecake 5% bartering buff
Only when buying, that's why I left it out
You forgot to mention the pumpkin cheesecake recipe, which will get you another 5% bartering.
But just when buying.

If you are needing BULLETS then smelting brass in the FORGE is how you make BULLET CASINGS, it will use 6 brass to make ONE bullet casing. One casing for one bullet is a general rule. 0:00 not really, no
Hehe... even more money in my pockets yes...
What's the saying? If it don't make money, it don't make sense/cents.
😂
Your better off using the car parts for mini bike handle bars instead of selling
Also, Lucky Looter ups the value of your loot.
Lucky looter is weird. You should look up videos on loot and game stage. Simply put, lucky looter is better mid-end game. Lucky looter will give you better loot IF it pushes you over a certain threshold
@@shaunhayes3072 Yes. To be exact it gets you closer to higher loot tiers. So instead of getting good leveled crap items and poor leveled good items, you'll get good leveled good items and poor leveled great items. The higher your level the more of a difference it makes.
@@FecalMatador Oh I have. As a matter of fact Guns, Nerd and Steel has the perfect video on it.
guns nerds and bobba
You get so much gold from the game I melt it for ammo🙄
Ha ha ha ha another zinger bud. But I swear I wasn't looking!!!
7 days to die yayyyyyyyy
You forgot the grandpa elixir to improve barterring.
That would be the awesome sauce
The buffs from sugarbuts don't stack so don't use them together whit the elixir.
The cake buff also doesn't stack.
This is absolutely bullshit. I ought to delete this comment.
You forgot about pumpkin cheese cake. Gives an extra 5% when trading
there's also pumpkin pie for 5% bartering, so 75%

1:33 Toss in some pumpkin cheesecake for an additional 5% barter buff for 5 minutes.

And to all that you can add +5% eating a creamy pumpking pie.
*buying only
Why would anyone WANT to make money in 7DtD? It's easy to come by as it is, I've personally NEVER tried to make money and always have too much of it to spend anyway. There are so many crappy items around to loot, it makes the game so easy. Traders should be a lot less common and money should be actually an issue.
Why would anyone WANT to make money in real life? You can find it everywhere! Under couch cushions, in the change return of vending machines... I've even found money on the ground! Life is so easy with all of this money!
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Mate you seriously cant be comparing video game to a real life situation. Ofc in real life you want to make money because you actually need it to survive. In 7DtD you don't. :D
@@shaunhayes3072 But the point was that it's pointless to use levels into that thing when there is more than plenty of money coming your way as you play. This game isn't hard in any way, if someone claims otherwise they are liars or won't play games.
I need money 💰 In the game and in real life! Nice to buy stuff for vehicle or base defense or crafting.
@@zTribalstylerz You find so rarely anything useful from traders anyway. Personally Ive found nothing worth purchasing so far in our gameplay :D
Why do you want to sell brass? 1 duke is 1 brass. Scrapping a radiator to brass is already a loss of 38. Then you sell 187 brass for 72 dukes which can be melted to 72 brass. Better use every ressource of brass for making amunition. And don't scrap it but melt it in a forge.
I know this clip is about making dukes, but never sell brass stuff.
Thats less of an issue now with horde loot dropping metric buttloads of ammo and brass. You dont have to squeeze every radiator till it squeaks and break every door in a poi for knobs anymore. You can have a literal sack full of doorknobs after horde night to add to your stack of trophies of both lead and brass.
In the current game state I fell that if you are pinching pennies to save up for something at the trader, you can sacrifice some brass to make some extra dukes. Ammo is easy to find in loot.
@@GunsNerdsandSteel : Too easy. I'm selling some of it. The main consumers of ammo are turrets and weapons for horde night.
@@GunsNerdsandSteel In my current playthrough (multiplayer) brass is still the shortest for ammo production. We have enough, but still net so many as making me want to sell it.
Ok, if you like to buy your first chemstation for 13k and are 600 dukes short, selling the brass might be usefull. Instead i'd just do a quick lvl2 fetch, and also have 600 dukes more.
pumpkin cheesecake for another +5% barter
Pandering to the Incels....smh.
Just jokes man chill out 😛
oh it's all good....I laughed!
Love the tips. Honking Trader Jenn for a joke feels like cashing in on misogyny. Just noticing and asking for better.
