Funny, my drone never dissapeared, but rather it multiplied, even with the loot inside of it 😀It happened several times. One time i had 3 drones following me!

I had a drone disappear on me once (only once, I rarely use it anyway) and prevented me from placing a new one. No idea where it went, it was not on the compass and not anywhere I can recall having it previously. A few game days later it just randomly appeared out of nowhere (I only noticed because something 'nudged' me from behind as I was in my base). I'd use it more if it would try to STAY either behind or above me while I am moving (behind me, as in, where I am NOT facing), as it is, it is often just in the way.

robotic turrets are literally some of the most overlooked weapons in the game. Used them for horde night defense at my old base as soon as I got one. Only switched to sledge once I finished my new base.
Hey Iz! Love your videos! I noticed a few robotics things you did not cover in this guide such as using either the sledge or the turret in your hands as a weapon option as well as what skills and mods work best for that purpose. In my experience the turret in hand with the shotgun ammo and some recoil mods can be LOADS of fun!
While I have no idea how they would do it it feels weird that the perk/books have nearly no affect on the drone.
Thanks for this look at robots. You're spot on with the drone being an "annoying backpack", it would be nice if the default position wasn't right in our faces. It would also be helpful to have a "go away 5 metres and stay there until called" command.
what item do you scrap to get robotics parts
Nice video well done ^^ I build my hord base in a way so the junkys can only hit the back of the Zombies so they don't hit the buttons and i put down as many as i can fit so you don't have to reload as often... That was the only Info i was missing in the video that you can put down more and the deactivate when empty ... no hate , love your work

For people playing alongside players with any of the following troubles:
- have hand issues that hamper reaction speed
- tend to panic when surprised
- bad at video games in general
The drone is a game saver for them. Start the game with cheats on, spawn a level 6 drone, give it medic, morale boost, headlight, and cargo mods, fill it up with first aid stuff, and give it to them. Restart the server and turn off cheats. The person you're playing alongside will get so much more enjoyment out of the game, since they have a little assistant telling them when zeds are near, healing them, lighting their way, and making stamina less of a concern. The little buddy drone can take an otherwise frustrating and quit worthy experience for those who, for one reason or another, cannot play to your level; and make the game fun again for you both. It keeps them going when they otherwise cannot, and keeps you from having to stick their back all the time! It's a great tool when used in this capacity!

also, if u place more than 2 (or 1 without perk), the close on will be active, but when it runs out of ammo, it automatically turns off making the next close one active, for multiplayer, with large amount on horde night, u can place a lot of those and not think about reloading.
Absolutely love the robotics, never go through poi's without them. I really hope they expand on it in aplha 21. Some robotics specific mods or more features with the perks. Great video as usual

I wish the drones had personality types. I don't know what it says about me but I would love to have the drone criticising me at every moment. 🤔
Do you have an update of this video for Alpha 21? Main question is about what mods to use? Drum mag and Full Auto, but does the rad remover work now (I saw an old post saying it didn't do anything)? Is Barrel Extender a good one to use?

i didn't know you could make turret ammo from iron. i thought it could only be made from lead!
Barrel extender on the robotic turret, does it extend control range or purely just the range of the turret itself? (assuming the latter....)
Just turret range, control range can only get upgraded with books and robotics perks as far as i know
You make good videos, you should make videos on other games too.
Does robotic turret fire "from the hip" or "while aiming? I really don't know what to pick as the last 2 modifiers on it

I know you can't pick up your motorcycle if it has inventory in it... if your drone has inventory can you pick it up?
These my favorite weapons
Ya know, I have the WORST luck when it comes to finding robotic sledges/turrets. I can think of one or two A19/A20 playthroughs where I NEVER found one or the schematic!
My robotic sledge doesn’t attack zombies. Maybe I’m not placing it correctly
... and the Drone Light Mod doesn't affect your visibility (like the helmet mod).
I thought they fixed that?
I keep meaning to test it. The maxed Robotic Inventor allows you to have two active robots, excluding Drone.
If I put down 2 sledge and 2 turrets, when a turret runs out and deactivates, will a sledge activate if in range?
Not automaticly no, you'll need to pick up the empty turrets for the others to activate

Junk turrets will also fire DARTS!
They don't do that in vanilla.
So never marry your drone? Then it can not claim 50%.
I don't know how good or bad of a challenge this would be. But do you think there could be something in a "pacifist" run using turrets? The rules would be something like this.
1. You cannot kill zombies with your own hands (You can still knock them over or stun them, but not deal the killing blow yourself.)
2. Your only method of killing zombies is by proxy with turrets that are not handheld (including shotgun & smg turrets) or environmental factors (Say Animals)
3. Zombies are on default speed (walk during the day, sprint at night)
I think it might be cool as in the early game, you have to rely more on building/stalling, stealth, or evasion methods with zombies to give yourself time to loot. combat perks will be much less useful, and other perks you may consider more valuable like physician or cardio (except pack mule). You also may have to rethink your horde base design since you'll be gimping your own combat abilities and relying on turrets for any killing
Rogue-like challenge? Go into POI with 1 weapon and only use weapons/ammo you find in the poi
Just last night, my girl gave Weighted Head to my Burning Shaft.
It's a joke coz i barely have a shaft and i don't have a girl.
