This is an absolutely fantastic video! You did a wonderful job breaking down each category and made it very straight forward to be able to get the right mods for each type of weapon. I also love that you sectioned it out by type for faster reference. 10/10!
I've played an agility build assassin for several years. You can put a 2x or 4x scope on any crossbow but you can't put a scope on any bow. This is a much better choice than the reflex sight because it allows the assassin to make long range headshots with pinpoint accuracy that you cannot get with the reflex sight. Combine the scope with the exploding crossbow bolt and use that for anything that absolutely positively has to die in one head shot. The exploding ammo is your RPG. It's a good idea to speck in handgun and bows because you find yourself in situations where you have a lot of enemies that you must deal with quickly and the bow is too slow. The end game assassin should be in compound crossbows and the .44 Magnum desert Eagle. Both with scopes. If I could put a scope on a bow, I would stick with bows because I enjoy bows. It's a personal preference that gets overruled by practicality.
Jsyk, firearms have a RNG factor for stats like damage and magazine size (maybe other stats too). For example Lever Actions can range from 4-6 shots. AND The Pump Shotgun ranges from 6-9 shots
another fact, pistol makes the least amount of noise with a silencer mod on, followed by pipe rifle which only does a little less noise than the hunting rifle and from there on the silencer is getting less effective really quick ^^ But if you want to be as silent as possible then any bow is the most silent ranged weapon followed by crossbows (tested at night with 5 perks in stealth, all perk books, military stealth boots with Advanced Muffled Connectors mod on the boots to make less noise on and ghilie suit in a single player playthrough endgame)
the Sniper Rifle with a silencer to clear high Tier POIs worked great for me. silencer on SMG works well too, as a good panic weapon in POIs so that u only wake up the room and not the whole area/building. didnt have much stealth perks n books maxed out
@@Bear-Gaming i find myself having to reload the SMG too quick if enough zombies are suddently on me and have found myself using silenced shotgun instead, same effect, more ammo and doesn't attract zombis from outside but i think that is thanks to 5 perks in stealth as well.
I really think they should add a wooden crossbow that you can unlock after reading 3 bow hunter magazines. I just think it's kinda dumb that you can craft crossbow ammo right at the start, but can't use it (unless you just happen to find an iron crossbow) until you've read... I think it's like 20 bow hunter magazines. The wooden crossbow could do slightly more damage than the primitive bow. Somewhere around 12.7 - 13.2 damage to make it a feasible option with a slightly slower reload speed than the primitive bow, but faster reload speed than the iron crossbow. And less damage and slower reload than the wooden bow. You could call it the primitive crossbow instead of wooden. I also think it would be kinda cool to have a special crossbow (the bone crossbow) that you could make using bones as the limb. It could do slightly more damage than the wooden bow with a slower reload speed but less damage than the iron crossbow with a slightly faster reload speed. Again I would suggest these changes because personally I think being able to craft crossbow ammo right away but being unable to use it for a good portion of the early game (barring a stroke of luck) is just really stupid.
I haven't done any scientific testing to confirm this, but I believe for a Stealth build you should stick with Bows, it seems Crossbows make more "noise" and wake up sleeping Zeds where the Bow doesn't.
i think early game pipe machine gun is best. outmatches others by a lot. stays the same up to ak. then i think pumpgun takes over due to very efficient ammunition use. later on i think smg and m60 take the late game. they have about the same dps (one have to take into account the 1/3 more damage due to every 3rd shot dealing twice the damage of pistols). maybe with the edge to smg as you can control the recoil better.
The pipe shotgun sucks soo much but you can have multiple in your hot bar and use them like flintlock pistols, but always have a melee weapon to fall back on.
There's quite a spread with rate of fire of purple machine guns. You can actually hear the difference if you get one with a higher rate of fire. But usually if they have a higher rate of fire they'll do less damage. Finding one with both high damage and high rate of fire is really rare. I like to use 5 M-60's with drums on a blood moon horde. That's 600 rounds before you have to reload anything. Load up with Recog, AP rounds and you're getting around 600 kills at least with that load out. I like the desert vulture for its fast reload. It's the best gun for when you get a horde pinning you in a small space and you need that near instant reload speed. The reload speed of weapons is one of the most important things in the game.
@@Bear-Gamingyee they really should. I ended up using a mod for a21 that lets u craft teir 6 stuff but is nicely balances.
