My #1 Tip: Keep your hydration above 75% to prevent losing 22.5% stamina regen. The game never tells you this, but from 75%-51%, you lose nearly 1/4 of your regen.
For real!? HOLY crap, that's Huge if True! Thanks!
Life saving advice right there fam
never know this tip even after 500hr+ 🤣
@@thearm007 1000+ hr and this is my first time seeing that too lol
This. I'm constantly stuffing myself with food and water. It *really* helps!
To farm steel in a single player game (and you don't mind cheesing a little) you can multiple loot POI's with vending machines. Everyone should know the double looting trick where you go on a mission, loot the POI first then activate the quest marker which resets the POI and all it's loot. If you partially loot the POI but don't complete the mission objectives, you can exit the game and, when you go back into the game, the quest marker will have reset so you can then reset the POI and it's loot as many times as you want.
Oh wow, I've always seen that as an irritation as I have to do it all over again. I'd never considered the loot/salvage respawn benefits! Thanks!
the best way to do it is clear the tier 5 locations early before getting said quests and or grind straight to tier 5, i have gotten the crucible book from a tier 5 quest, god i miss the tool and die and calipers
Better watch out, the devs might change that up to make it impossible just to spite you.
@@NexusGaming857 it's why I'm sort of losing interest in the game, if the grind is to much for stuff then it's not 7 days to die it's just a survival simulator with zombies
Just farm streetlights and transformers much quicker.
Something I discovered that not many people know about. If you hold jump you go higher and further than if you were to only tap your jump. So hold your spacebar for more efficient jumping.
Also the game lets you keep jumping if you spam it after your stamina is 0
The armor rating gets exponential the closer it gets to 100%. Something like 15% increase may not sound like much by itself, but if you compare it at 70% to 85%, that is technically doubling your EHP.
@@somad6997 Yep
Shouldn't everyone know this? This is basic math.
@@Chris-ks4sw Yeah, it's pretty basic, but it is a reminder for people to reconsider the armor choice. You'd be surprised at people who see the movement penalty to be too much of a burden and stop commiting to heavy armor before it get to it full potential and choose to sacrifice twice or even quadruple the amount of EHP. As seen in the video with padded armor seemingly providing more positive than negative bonus.
And heavy armor benefit more from banded armor plating than padded armor.
But of course, this changes if you're playing in a pvp server where people uses AP perk and ammo.
@@Chris-ks4sw break down the math for us :)
Here's a trick I just came up with today:
Craft a "Box of AP Turret Ammo (1,000)" this will cost 4,800 Iron, then open it.
Smelt the 1,000 ammo in your forge. This will put 6,000 Iron into your forge.
Craft the 6,000 Iron in the forge into the Iron item and use it to craft another box of ammo.
You've now gained 1,200 Iron at the cost of some fuel for your forge.
You can build multiple forges and workbenches to speed up this process. This will result in enough Iron to craft whatever you need, i.e. Forged Steel.
Cool, didn't know about this. Thank for the tip! 😄
@@18videowatcher41 I should let you know, this was changed. It works in alpha 20, but in alpha 21 and the new update coming out this month this was patched out.
I saw this and was very happy, but in the experimental 1.0 update made it so AP Turret Ammo costs 4,800 iron AND 4,800 lead
@@TheRealBigBeard Yeah sorry, friend. They patched this out in Alpha 21.
Important thing to keep in mind: Although you might say that steel armor has only 18% more armor points than military, that translates in a lot more damage reduction than one might anticipate.
With 50 armor rating, you basically halve damage taken, doubling your effective HP.
With 75, you quadruple effective HP.
With 80, just 5 more than pervious, you 5x your HP.
90% would 10x your HP.
95 would 20x your HP.
So the improvements become exponentially better the closer you get to 100 armor rating, meaning that it will be a lot bigger of a gap when considering the maxed out military which would be 58 + 5x2(banded armor mod) = 68 vs 75 + 5x2 = 85.
With 68 armor rating you take only 32% damage, so you will 100/32 = 3.12x your HP.
With 85 armor rating you will 100/(100-85) = 6.66x your HP.
More than twice as much effective HP, or twice as tanky.
I say steel is always better as there exists urban combat perk, armor specialist and even customized fittings, making you almost as fast as 100% mobility and also having an insane amount of damage resistance, which if we pair up with max pain tolerance becomes even better, and with fort bites yields total invulnerability for the duration of the buff.
Invulnerable until a modded behemoth zombie hits you.
With 3 points in fortitude, and, 2 points in machine gunner, while wearing the tough guy glasses, eat a sham chowder, and, for the duration of the sham chowders effect you can craft
a tier 4 AK 47. Be aware that it will take several more machine gun parts than a tier 3 machine gun. I typically crouch while mining because of the decreased sound volume, good to
know it decreases heat as well.👍
I know how much work it takes to do this type of episode, so am very grateful that you & Genosis frequently put out such great content...Thank you, Tem!!
Absolute Zen Dungeon-Master level stuff here, Doc. Also? New viewers WILL see your editing chops, as well as your attention to detail on full display . Good Stuff
The amount of effort to put this video together is awesome. Excellent work
Love having all this info in one video. Thanks!
Fast and clear! Thx!
As always, quality content from one of the legends in the 7d2d community.
Thank you so much for your time consuming effort.
Have a wonderful day
dont swallow it man.
Ein sehr hilfreicher Guide. Das Fahrrad hat mich sehr beeindruckt.
Excellent. Blowing up Rekt was so satisfying.
I LOVE the way u did this video! Keep up the good work, ur such a good content creator
One thing to note: the damage reduction increase is not 17%, even though 58% vs 75% looks like a 17% increase, it is an increase in damage mitigation. So it is acutally a 68% increase in effective HP or in other words, it translates to being able to withstand 68% more punishment overall. The math for effective HP = HP/(1-(armor rating/100)). So at 200 HP you get effective HP of 476 with light armor and 800 with heavy armor making this a 68% increase, which is much more impactful, than the 17% you might think it means. The same does not apply to stamina, because here the reduction is a flat reduction to regeneration. The math also applies to "distance covered" but since you are more interested in your speed and not total distance covered, it is less impactful.
The tips are great, but the best thing about the video are the visual effects. For example such a tower of traders in the sky. That must be a lot of work, but in the video you can only see it for a few seconds.
One effect follows the other. Even if you already know the tips you want to see what happens next.
First class presentation.
awesome info, thanks!! I love your videos man!
Fantastic guide my friend!
Thanks for this. Keep up the great work.
Nice, I appreciated all the time you put into this video, all these tips were helpful!
Love your sense of humor. I laughed so much. Very informative too. Keep it up, you're the best! 🤣
Excellent AND entertaining guide! I might just have to become a patron.
Just got into the game, thanks for the tips!
Amazing How To Video Tem. Was worth watching
Great supercut! 👍
Nice! I respect the home work you did!👍
Thanks! 👍
I gotta say... the way you started every single clip with "Hey what's up?" had me rolling in my chair by the end of the video. Maybe it's because it's too early in the morning, but i couldn't stop laughing every time you did it. Thumbs up!
I really love this channel. I have 2k Hours Playtime and still learning her
Awesome video!
That was very knowledgeable information.
I haven't played in some time but I have a lot of hours in it.
I discovered that intellect trick pretty early on, as in the beginning it was just 3 of us, and I was the doctor/engineer/haggler. I wonder what effect A21 will have on it when there isn't a secret stash anymore.
Farewell, bonus stash, you served me well.
I had already watched all these when I was getting back into 7D2D so as I watched this video I was thinking about how many of these are gonna be irrelevant when Alpha 21 comes out. We already know they're removing the secret stash and changing some or all the loot tables for the new learn by looting system. It'll be interesting to see how much different some of these tips become and what new tips come out of Alpha 21
This is a good tutorial for newcomers to 7D2D!
Mini bike handle bars. Stacks to 50. $30,600 per stack. Everything you need you get from scrapping cars
Wow the miner 69er and mother load thing was surprising!!
Ooo, a compilation of usefulness!
In Undead Legacy overhaul, pick up medical cabinets off the wall and stash for later, once you get the magazine to harvest acid. Place and smash your collection for a nice haul.
nice video. thanks
Thanks :)
Thanks for the tips
Great tips. Also, this is a shining example of the science of 7D2D, and your own efforts to educate us 'unwashed masses'. 😁. An excellent job Tem, hats off to you sir.
Superior editing, you are very funny!
one i found out not to long ago. if you jump off somewere high and dont want a broken leg? exit your world then load back in before you hit the ground. it resets your position and restarts your fall
09:35 "Cool people only." 🤣🤣🤣
great Thanks
I'm slightly more enlightened with this one.
Additional cheese: Want to greater chance to survive a horde? If you have extra medkits, spam two of them right before battle as the effects will stack AND provide a regeneration of health for a small period of time while fighting. The drain happens regardless of if you've taken damage or not, but it is handy to keep health high in the middle of a fight.
I can't wait to use these strats on the console port
Thank you. P.
If you actually want to trader like a pro, then do everything that GN&S said, (sugarbutts, cigar, magnum-in-hand, awesome sauce, etc) PLUS make pumpkin cheesecake. It's an additional 5%, and since these buffs stack it's a huge deal. You can get level 6 solar panels down from 60k Dukes to 24k.
Nice!
Amazing luck I happened too catch this video. Been I interested in the game for a long tine, but only had ps4 and heard it sucked on that. Now I have the ability to get on pc, but just have to wait for sale. Looking forward to it, and this vid has me hyped for it. Thank you m8.
It's currently on sale on steam for like $6.
You have a LOT of useful information on this game. I have just gotten interested in it, but I am TERRIBLE lmao! I dig the video though, subscribed, and liked.
Cheers Tem 🍻
Tip #1: Bring a gun.
Tip #2: Use more gun.
Tip #3: As written in the seminal, "Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries," by Howard Tayler of Earth, "There is no overkill, there is only 'Open fire!' and 'Reload!'"
Don't scrap metal items.
Melt them on the forge, then get it back and sell.
Scrap comes with a 20 or 25% loss of total material.
Great video! Thanks.
Squezze´em...good one
Tem this was a really good video and i hope you do not get into trouble with youtube that would be a shame
0:30 You can actually do faster harvesting by pressing right click and then holding left click. Then you'll have to repeat the process. That left click gives u a bit of time to regenerate some stamina for the next right click :D
Thumbnail is SICK
I'm curious about that first tip using the power attack, I'm assuming that also increases wear and tear on your tools? And a pro mining tip ... when you got a good mine site, build a little house on top of it. I ignore screamers when mining because I can just jump out of my little house and destroy them since no one is falling on my head.
One tip about crops. Use a knife to collect them.Funny things if you break corn plants with a knife or machete you get extra corn. less if you break the same crop with bare hands. Like you are using the right instrument.
Couldn't be an easy video to make. Good tips tem
The footage is rehashed. Anywhere you see white text correcting what is being said is due to new information uncovered since he first posted each of these shorts.
Hey i wanted to ask about the mechanic skill that grant you much elements by using wrench, do we got less xp too by upgrading it?
Me minding my business when Tem drops from a bush and point to the video with the catch phrase: "Hey what's up"
Felt like watching a bunch of TikTok’s. Good video. I am more informed!
Always sell lead and brass. You will rarely if ever actually need to craft bullet tips or casings. You'll either find them in the wild or get tons of ammo from doing missions. This is especially true if you are using shotguns as your main ranged weapon.
Only material that you'll have to actively mine is iron; due to it being used in so many recipes.
Said nobody that plays higher difficulties
You sounded like the guy from ProjectFarm in the farming tip section.
TAKE MY LIKE
So, I'm wanting to plant some crops on the roof of my base, which a 9*9*5 box and is all concrete except for underneath the planter boxes which is steel, the plants show pink when I try to place them. Do I need a pillar reinforcement in the center of my base or is this some kind of bug?
Unfortunately, Traders will only accept so many of one item. So you'll have to travel to another Trader if you have multiple of one item to sell.
"Show Trader Rekt the love he truly deserves" That alone just earned you my sub.
RNG will often screw you on farming seeds with LoL 1. Once in a while even with LoL 2. Unless you have LoL 3, you're going to need to save most of your crops early on for "just in case" the RNG nukes your farm.
It needs a rework.
Good video though :)
Can you do a video like this for alpha 21?
Interesting video, I was unaware of the Miner 69er versus Motherlode issue. Out of curiosity, though, is it still worth taking Motherlode after you've maxed out. Miner 69er?
pumpkin cheese cake gives also a buff for selling and buying
The pure goofyness has earned you a Subscribe.
that thumbnail though!
Been playing since Alpha 14, so I don’t really need the tips, but… I’m so glad you do these videos 👍🏼👍🏼
ez just press F1 button, then type "cm" without the apostrophe mark and then press "u" . There u have it just take whatever u need in the display.
Something outof context:
i have an issue and i have no idea about how to fix it, every elimination / search and elimination are kinda glitched. I can't finish the mission because i'm always missing a zombie. I told you this because ive even tried to blow up the whole POI and can't complete the mission. What would i do?
Nice video but...how is (12:54-ish) 0.5 heat gain more forgiving than 0.1? Does this needs to be 0.05?
The 0.5 heat gain is from when you break a stone ore block. You don't generate heat from hitting stone ore, you DO generate heat from hitting metal ore which is 0.1 and breaking a metal ore block generates 2.84 heat
omfg at 2:26 i read that as something WAY different
All the knowledge is useless if the video or narration sucks, but this clip was great. thanks
Hey! What's up! :)
Don't you get resources per wrench? Like, if your damage is lowered and you wrench a car 40 times, as opposed to 20, youll have more loot. It might be different on PC but thats how it seems to work on xbox.
Good guide esp for new players but even as a long term player I found it useful.
LOL YOURE BRITISH
im ready for alpha 21
Don't forget pumpkin bread when selling
On the trader you forgot the pumpkin cheese cake
how many times i looted a medical pile and just threw it away when i could have harvested it for a chance at acid... 2 minutes in and ive learned the odds of getting an engine or battery and how to score acid?! FTW
forgot about pumpkin cheesecake for a higher barter, unless it doesn't stack, I've never looked if it stacks or not.
Most barter perks, items, and books say "buying and selling". I can't remember which, but pumpkin cheesecake only affects one way.
@@zadenhomunculus8652 Pumpkin Cheesecake lowers the price of stuff you buy, but not sell.
My #1 Tip is: reload thy gun
I'm okay with the "how-to" videos. I like your series vids better. I'm not sure you can top your Darkness Falls play through though. Good stuff.
Hey good to know but i can only play about 5 minutes before the game crashes :D
Its fun because every crash has a diferent reason. Is there an patch or a magic tric for this problem or do i payed 8€ for the crash simulator2022??
I found 2 beakers on day 1 and 2. I don’t know why 🤨
Anybody know the mod that adds more options to the world creation menu?
The best way to get acid is by destroying med cabinets. I get one almost every time
hey man test miner69'r vs motherlode with the coffees and candies!!
Fantastic video! Probably didn't take you too long to do... 🤭 Hope YT doesn't flag this for some stupid reason again.
