  • We hope you enjoy this short video featuring one of the Waterworks Museum's longest-serving volunteers talking about the National Gas Engine which pumped water to Ross-on-Wye from 1912. It stayed in service until 1964, alongside a WH Allen Diesel engine introduced in 1932.

    Brilliant video. There's a gas engine at Tees Cottage Pumping Station where I volunteer but it's a Richard Hornsby Stockport not National Gas
