❤️❤️
I would love if you did a video on all your bakeware! It's all so pretty. That pan😍
Liv B mushroom hi Liv! Any risotto or rice recipes?
I love chilling with you and cooking! Keep it up girl!
These cookies have a special place in my heart!! Made me realize vegan doesn’t mean restriction
1/2 cup vegan margarine, vegan butter or coconut oil
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup non-dairy milk (like almond or soy)
1 tsp vanilla
1- 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt (about 1/4 tsp)
1/3 to 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
Thank me later
ily
THANK YOU
These are truly the best vegan chocolate chip cookies. I've made these so many times and everyone always loves them and never knows the difference!
Okay, so can you give me the measurements? This woman did not provide that in the video. Kinda sucks
@@castM10039 The measurements are in the description box, on her blog post.
CastM100 Castelan it’s it the description bar just like almost any other youtube recipe... click the link
Same!!❤️
Hey Liv (and anyone else reading as this is an important tip) but at 0:57 when you talking about creaming the sugar and margarine together, it's not recommended in this day and age to use a spoon (with all the technology available to us) as the act of creaming is about incorporating air into the mixture until it's pale and fluffy. While it's possible to do with a spoon, it would require a fast beating movement and a lot more time to incorporate air. So for those reading that might be newer to baking - it's not just about mixing, it actually should change colour and texture (go paler from the air and fluffy from whipping) as this will yield a better texture in the finished cookie. That's why you'll notice how some recipes that use stand mixers will specify the speed and time required to cream the ingredients. Happy baking all xx
Nicole W Thank you!!!
But also in for those that are lazy (like me), cookie recipes don't require a lot of leavening. Just the baking powder is sufficient. In fact, you could use melted butter and mix until just incorporated, and the cookies would still taste good (would be more chewy in texture, less "cakey") 😊
@@annasiohane-royle6601 In the end it's recommended to follow the instructions, so if they require beating and specify it to go fluffy and pale, then this will get you the best results. However, if you're lazy as you said and happy to not get perfect results and something that's just pretty tasty and edible, then that's fine. For days people have more time, it's worth also learning the correct technique and science behind baking to achieve spot-on results as well. Or try both methods and compare! If people are not fussed about texture, it will prob still taste good in the end. Can't really go wrong with lots of sugar, butter and chocolate :)
Nicole W yeah I get what you are saying, and I agree! But as you said, it's best to always follow the recipe instructions (like in Liv's recipe, where she stated you can just use a wooden spoon and it's still works fine!).
Yeah, the mixing method is important, as it contributes to the leavening and the texture. But in cakes and muffins you need a lot more air incorporation because they need to rise more. whereas in cookies you dont need so much. Hence why Liv said hand mixing is fine! Plus, this makes the recipe more accessible to everyone, not everybody has access to an electric mixer!
Totally agree with you !! Anyone talking about leaveners is lost. When i first started baking i was so confused why my cookies were flat. Cause i would mix with a spoon ! Causing the butter to melt too quicky. Now i know. Thanks for helping out other new bakers
I never comment on videos but these honestly are the best cookies ever. I used gluten free flour and coconut sugar instead of brown sugar and even with the changed ingredient they were by far the best cookies I’ve ever made. And healthier, too! Great recipe/vid, thanks for sharing!
I did same ☺️
The cookies puffing down was the most satisfying thing lol
I couldn’t stop eating the cookie dough! It’s so smooth and perfect. These are honestly the best cookies I’ve ever had. Thank you so much liv! I’m gonna get your book🤗
Just got the cookbook yesterday. It's beautiful. Can't wait to try the cookies, my favorite!
this recipe is literal gold!! i cooked them for 10-11 mins + they were perfect!
I love your recipes so much, especially the desserts, they're so good and easy.
The best cookies I made.. last time I made them I put the dough in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.. then they rise so well and yummy
This is my favorite cookie. I was baking them every week,so reluctantly I took a break and now I'm back at it. I love a lot of crunch some times and other times, crunch on the edge and soft in the middle. If I buy them, then it's how ever, except they tend to have more salt in the store brands.
I have been looking for a good chocolate chip recipe for over a year now!! I'm gonna have to try these this week! Definitely going to make them tomorrow and freeze them so that they're ready to go on Sunday afternoon after church! So excited!
I love this recipe! Just tried it out. They’re delicious. I would however recommend letting the dough sit in the fridge for about half an hour
you used this same recipe back in an older video and i have been using this recipe since! these are so so so yummy and come out perfect every time.
you and your sister are both so stunning!
the cookies look so good
I’ve made those cookies about 11 times during the past 9 months. These are the best vegan cookies I’ve ever had. Thank you!! 😭❤️
Nice! Saw one of your first baking video a while back and look at how far you have come! The channel, the book and the skill!!! These cookies are amazing!
I was coming to your channel SPECIFICALLY to look up egg replacer for cookies and I see this! Omg
I'm going to my grandparents this weekend I just made a batch of these cookies from your recipe and they turned out amazing I can't wait for them to try them
these vegan cookies are literally my go to recipe. they are so delicious and extremely easy to make. i have almost 0 cooking experience and these cookies turned out great!
*TIPS*
one thing that i noticed about the written recipe is that it mentions salt in the ingredients list but never in the instructions list. for anyone wondering when to add in the salt, add it in when making the dry mixture.
the first time i made these, i rolled them into a ball and then baked them. they ended up never flattening out to a regular cookie shape which was a bit disappointing. the second time i made them, i pressed on them a bit with a spoon before baking, and they turned out to have a nice round cookie shape. : )
AMAZING recipe! will definitely make again! ❤🤤
I've made these every Xmas since my bf became vegan, so like 5 xmases. Always turn out well. I also have tried other 🍪 recipes and this one is by far the simplest and most foolproof.
I’ve made these a few times and changed up the measurements just a tad. So instead of 1 tsp of baking soda I use 1/4. That way it doesn’t have a strong baking soda flavor. I also use a tad more brown sugar. All in all, the BEST chocolate chip recipe so far! Thanks!!!
great updated video!! i'm glad you add salt now!
i love your recipes!
I just made these cookies and can say they are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made! I chilled the dough for about 1 hour before baking and preheated the oven to 375 F, turning it down to 350 F once I put the cookies in. Lightly crispy on the outside, chewy deliciousness on the inside. Incredible!
Just ordered your cookbook, can't wait to try out the recipes :)
So yummy, Your cooking style is good. I also want to try cookies. I was very helpful thanks to your recipe. I want to make my own style.
This is such a good recipe. I just made them for thanksgiving and they turned out amazing.
I just ordered your cookbook. Can’t wait to try lots of your recipes!💕
Thank you for the amazing recipe! I have tried several vegan chocolate chip cookie recipes and this one definitely wins!
im a huge chocolate chip lover and im introducing more plant-based cooking into my life....these cookies did not disappoint! thank you! so simple and delicious!
A nice variation is to add nuts like almonds or hazelnuts instead of the chocolate chips
I've had these cookies in total, 100 times?? You can't beat them!!! ❤️
Just made them tonight for the first time and ugh why did it take me so long ! For some reason whenever I try to get the perfect chewy/almost cookie dough consistency they always end up falling apart or they're too flat once they've cooled down (vegan or not) but these were so perfect and just pure chewy goodness, thank you !! can't wait to get my friends and family hooked on these haha
This is my first comment on youtube, but after making and tasting these cookies I just had to react.. THESE ARE FREAKING AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing these Liv!
Heck yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh I have been waiting for this vid!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻
made this 3 times now and I loved it! I accidentally bought vegan margarine instead of butter and I was itching to make cookies then i saw this and was really happy! My dough didnt turn out like yours though, I did add a bit more flour but the creamed margarine and sugar was always to wet instead of creamed to begin with so no matter how much flour I add, the dough is still to stick. I live in Singapore where it always humid but when i made this the temp in my kitchen was 26degrees celsius and it was raining. The first time I made it I put the dough in fridge for 10 minutes then baked it at 350 for 10 mins and kept it inside the oven for 2 more minutes while it was off. The cookie was crispy outside but soft inside.I refrigerated it and the next day it was still soft, like a bigger soft version of keeblers soft batch. The 2nd time I made it ,i put the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes, scooped it in 2inches and out it in the fridge for 10minutes bec it was too sticky ( i followed the ovenly way) Baked it at 375 for 5mins and then 5 mins 350-but i forgot to take ot out the oven😂 i think it was inside for 5 minutes. The result was crispy and browned cookies still soft but not too soft. The third time I put the dough in the freezer for 6 hours, scooped it up and put in the baking sheet, it was not too sticky because it was in the freezer.Baked it at 350 for 9 minutes and kept it inside with the oven off for 3 mins. The result- light browned and soft but not crumbly, and even if you put it inside the fridge,it will still be soft the next day. Love love love your recipe! my only complain is that I can get it too look like your cookies, i thinks its because of the sticky dough, but still this is the best cookie recipe i tried:)
Omg these look fantastic! I've been making your buttermilk pancakes every Sunday for 3 weeks straight, I think I'll try this one this weekend... 🍪🍪🍪
Liv! These cookies look soo delicious! I can't wait to make these :)
I tried out the other cookie recipe you posted and they were amazing so I am looking forward to trying these
I hope I don't fail
These are amazing!!! Crispy bottom and chewy center. 😋
This is by far the best vegan cookies recipe, i added 2 tb of tapioka starch and it turned so crunchy a lot like store bought cookies.
These cookies are the best so delicious!!!Thanks so much for the recipe 😋
Pure perfection! I used earth balance soy free vegan spread and had to use my discretion with my spelt flour. Regardless we all devoured them immediately. Gratitude Liv, you've given me a great recipe and showed me how to save money.🤲💎
These really the best they’re perfect
These turned out DELICIOUS! so freaking good. definitely going to make again
Seriously, I can’t get over you making cookies to meet people. That’s mad cute💕💕
This is my second time making the cookies. The first time I had to guesstimate the baking soda and powder with about three to four pinches because I didn’t have measuring spoons and now I’m sure i wasn’t even close on it. I left mine in he freezer over night And they turned out perfect. This time I got some spoons and realized I didn’t have enough baking soda or powder. I get them in bulk so idek which one i had left so I just put in it but I only had about a fourth teaspoon, maybe, but now im convinced that you don’t even need the baking soda or powder and next time I make them I will experiment with that. These cookies are so perfect and I will forever stick to this recipe. THANK YOOU
i love these cookies😍 thank you for sharing the recipe. You are one of my favorite vegan inspiration and you always make me try so many new recipes. Thank you for excisting💚
They look so good, Liv!
These seriously are the best cookies... I've been wanting to make this recipe since I started following you years ago, but finally got around to it! I don't know if this is good or bad cause I might have to start making them all the time..... :) much love xoxo
Oooooh, these have been on my list since I received your book! I'm not wasting anymore time, I'm making these after I put the kiddos to bed tonight.
I am so happy somebody is showing decent chocolate cookies without nuts or peanut butter in them! Thank you!
I love these cookies so much, I make them ALL the time. I make them gluten free sometimes so my mom can have them too and they taste exactly the same either way.
They look delish
These are legit my fave cookies! 🤤
I have NEVER found a vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe that didn’t taste like coconut or some other weird non cookie flavor. These taste like little perfect soft chocolate chip cookies 😭 thank you so much!!!!
Loved making these cookies
Made them today! I always had a problem with them ending up too round and dense. These were perfect! Thank you!
Did you make them using an electric mixer or by hand?
Looks so delicious!
This looks so awesome
You read my mind! You are like my guardian angel but with food. 🙏🏼❤️
I can’t wait to try these.
I have made these and the snickerdoodle ones too! Everyone loves them! Even non vegans! They’re the best 🥰
I just made these. The only thing I done differently was add Coconut Sugar in place of Brown Sugar. I made mine a little big but I normally do that with my cookies anyways lol...They are so soft and yummy. Will definitely be making these more often. :)
I made these tonight. They were incredible!
Made these today, for my auto mechanic as a thank you. Of course sampled them first. Delicious! My mechanic loved them too! 😋🍪😍
I’ve never been able to make a good vegan choc chip cookie!! Definitely going to give these a try because you always have the BEST recipes💕
Same, its such a struggle :D Please tell me how it goes when u have tried them :)
HOLY COOKIE! That looks so good😍🤤
Started on a no suger, no carb diet yesterday, and now i really crave a cookie 😩
Yes! This recipe is my favourite too since i discovered it on your channel like a year ago. I then made a video in swedish of it on my channel too. Ofc referring to you. Thank you for this amazing recipe. I would like to say that they are more soft in the middle crunchy in the edges though. Not very chewy. 💗💚💗
never watch livs videos when ur starving u will eat everything in sight hahaha cant wait to try these!
I can't wait to get your cook book! it should ve been here by 21/3 but still. ...However I 'll make those cookies! they look delicious 💟
Just saw the Edgy Veg make these, so I’m here to make them, too! Thanks!
I hope you have a wonderful year and I hope you have a wonderful day
Omg need these in my life 🤤💕
Just made them, and they taste delicious
I love this recipe 🥰🥰🥰
Love your videos! I’m curious if you have any recipes to share along the lines of a mushroom risotto.
Been trying to make one for a while. Sounds soooo good.
Hi, it would be perfect if you put the ingredients in grams too
Yh, from what I've seen/read this is one of the best vegan cookies recipe but I use grams and I've been trying to convert the measurements but every website I check says a different thing so I'm just gonna do an average and try, see what happens!
I made cookies twice last month and didn’t follow a recipe, turned out okay but now I’m sure they will be perfect 😭 as if I needed an excuse to make more cookies
OMG looks sooooo good
Great video - I will test it
I make this for friends and family ALL the time! Everyone loves them, vegans and nonvegans. All my nonvegan friends say they are the best choc. chip cookies they've ever had, and I couldn't agree more!
These look amazing 😍 can’t wait to make them for my 2 year old ❤️
I think I’ll try this recipe out! 🤤
YES these are so good :)

vegan feminist keepupwithliv, liv b vegan, Caitlin Shoemaker, High Carb Hannah, Alexandragirlytalk, and superwowstyle.
We're definitely making these at the office!
you made me become vegan! thank you so much for all your wonderful recipes💜
I love your recipe
I just thought of making cookies today and i saw your video 😍❤️
I'm obsessed with the Oh She Glows "One Bowl Jumbo Chocolate chunk cookies" atm... it's definitely a bit more expensive to make than these, but they're gluten free and also a bit healthier/nutritious I would say. One can also use different nut/ seed butters to make them. :)
When you go on youtube to watch a video but then you bump into one of Liv's super delicious chocolate chip cookies and you knoooooww you need to watch it!!!
Ahahahah I love your recipes!
Edit: I've just finished making these gorgeous cookies and I've already devoured them :) They're soo chewy and good! I love(d) them ahah and this recipe just made me think that you don't need eggs and butter to make delicious cookies. Thumbs up for vegan food. Thumbs up for Liv! :D
Thank you
Very fast and easy wow
These are the best cookies I’ve ever had.
They are tasty but super sweet, to sweet, second time I baked them I added 135 g (3/4 cup) of brown sugar from 200 g (1 cup) and are perfect sweet in balance with the dark chocolate.
Love your recipes! We have tried your previous cookie recipes an they are amazing 😍. Maybe for your next video make some vegan caramel tarts?
