  • Here we go! I'm going to show you how to clean a flooded bounce house waterslide combo.
    This thing was SUPER flooded buy a thunderstorm that dropped 4+ inches of rain on the night of Mothers Day. It was supposed to be a light rain, instead we got HAMMERED!
    So, I'm claustrophobic to a pretty large extent, so for me to build up the courage to do this was huge, but I was faced with an option...either be a bad ass business owner, or stay in my comfort zone. Needless to say I'm choosing "bad ass" every freaking time!
    So before you go climbing inside your flooded bounce house be sure you have a few things set up;
    1. Be on a circuit breaker where the odds of it tripping the breaker is as close to ZERO as possible
    2. Go in with a knife in your pocket
    3. Take everything you need in with the 1st time - going in and out is rough on the zipper vent!
    Bounce House Cleaning Supplies with Links
    1. Hose (amzn.to/3cd5wv2) and sprayer (amzn.to/2SO7knu)
    2. Towels (amzn.to/3yZKNEI)
    3. Three Gallon Bucket (amzn.to/3pcDC7X)
    4. Mr Clean Disinfecting Wash (amzn.to/3fKcidT)
    4. Rags(amzn.to/3fFIKOB)
    5. Shop vac (amzn.to/2S62eTt) with 30' hose (amzn.to/3fGh78a)
    6. Mr Clean Magic Erasers (amzn.to/3ijSbVw)
    7. Ladder (amzn.to/2S8DSIK)
    8. Push broom to scrub (amzn.to/3fJCzct)
    9. Spray bottle with Mr Clean Disinfecting Wash
    10. Leaf Blower (amzn.to/3yZLIFa)
    I USUALLY carry a non-submersible pump (link down below) to move the water out at the pick up, but I didn't have it on me for this pick up. So I had to actually open the vent, and slowly pull the bounce house back to move the INSANE amount of water over to drain, and there was still over 100lbs of water in it when I rolled it!

    Nick quit his 16 year "career" as as a District Manager for Journeys shoes in August 2019, and while he worked to scale The Jump Off, he drove uber, sold trash that he found on the side of the road, and picked up as many odd jobs (like building swing sets) as he could.
    Then in late 2019, Nick hit "The Bounce House lottery" (originleadersh...) and when the pandemic shut everything down in 2020, he sprung into action and took that moment to make The Jump Off what it is today!

    Very thankfull for the video. Theirs no other video like it. My 16 ft high 13 ft wide 26 ft long waterslide got flooded I couldn't find anything on how to drain it. But I found this video and now I have an idea of what to do atleast before I was so lost , just showing my gratitude. Thankyou

      You bet!! The other thing you can do that I didn’t mention on this video is prop up one side with 2-3 other blowers or chairs so all the water runs to one side, makes it a little easier as long as the zipper vent is on the side. That technique is KILLER for bounce houses!

    You do know you can just lift and tilt the unit up in the air put a dolly or 2-3 chairs underneath so it can drain all the water out on its own. Much easier that way. We do it all the time.

      @@natashagonzalez8063 inflated. When you raise it make sure the baffles are facing towards the ground for maximum drainage. Put chairs under it to brace it or just flip it all the way on it side and leave it that way for an hour or so to dry out after it has drained. This will keep it from mildewing inside

      @@nick_o_glass Which side would you prop up on this specific unit? I have the same one and it's waterlogged, would love to just prop it up as I don't have a vac.

    If you have a small bouncer that gets wet, I prop it up about 30 degrees with a dolly. It gets the water to run down and hopefully out of a seam or tube.
    I probably should try your technique when a large inflatable gets rained on, as they can take forever to dry.

    • @nick_o_glass
      @nick_o_glass  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah propping them is a good trick too. I’ll do that when I can so the water all runs down to the vent so I don’t have to crawl all over.

    • @nick_o_glass
      @nick_o_glass  3 роки тому +1

      yeah I used to have 2 with no zippers. They were OLD, so that's weird you got one without. It takes a little longer to deflate, and if you get water in there you have to just vac it out through the blower tube.

    • @jamesgil8075
      @jamesgil8075 3 роки тому

      If it fills with water by chance, air it up, lift or have someone help you lift it in the air. While one of you holds the unit in the air, have the other person put chairs under the unit a little less than halfway under it to support the unit and let it drain on its own through the threading. Just make sure the baffles are parallel to the floor and sky and not right to left or water will still be in the baffles. Hope this is understandable and of help.
