  • @MrRKWRIGHT

    I've been eating peanuts all my life - dry roasted, shelled, however I choose to eat them, as well as peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) and of course peanuts are a great supplement to chocolate candy bars. And of course, there's nothing like a bowl of Beer Nuts while enjoying your favorite adult beverage. After all, peanuts can prevent cancer, they're rich in polyphonic antioxidants, good for fighting anxiety and depression, have been known to prevent diabetes - and yep, they're even good for children and pregnant women - and can even in some cases, prevent Alzheimer's. That being said, I'm happy to report that I'll turn 64 in a couple of months and I'm feeling just fine. 😊

      Peanuts don’t prevent diabetes or Alzheimer’s or prevent cancer. Peanuts and especially peanut butter is not healthy. You feel fine? That’s not an indication of good health. There are no outward symptoms of heart disease and fatty liver until its almost too late. And the tests required to check for those diseases, insurance companies wont pay for until after you’ve survived a heart attack. So a doctor wont even order the tests.

Take a hand full of peanut or groundnut in my country India, put it in a bowl of water for 8 to 10 hours over night and take it out and chew it well and eat in empty stomach early morning. This is how peanuts have to consumed if u want its full strength. Not as a roasted and salted one.😊

  • @timporter8886
    @timporter8886 10 місяців тому

    As you pointed out, they're not nuts, they're legumes. Ans so are full of phytates, and anaphlatoxins, hence the risk of anaphylaxis to those at susceptible; so should be eaten sparingly. Consider giving them a miss, especially if you're prone to auto immune issues. Roasting them will help a little. The protein content however is poor, as they contain incomplete proteins. If they cause you no problems, then enjoy in moderation! There is no such thing as "bad" cholesterol, that's just rubbish pushed by big pharma to promote statin sales. Ldl is a very necessary component of good health.

    • @jafocharlie848

      You are correct, my friend. For me (Calcium) Oxalate. So, Peanut M&M’s are a double no no as they also contain chocolate, which contains (Calcium) Oxalate as well. Four stones later, you do your research! The Oxalate will bind to Calcium, the most common type.
      ..and they are damn painful. Remember, everything in moderation. Take care!

    Just about every other nut is better than peanuts.
    Peanuts are probably the least beneficial of all nuts out there.
    The healthiest nuts are walnuts, almonds, pecans, pistachios, etc.. last on the list would be peanuts.
    Peanuts contain arachidonic acid which is an inflammatory fat.

    I’ll never eat peanuts again. I live a ketovore lifestyle and was eating peanuts everyday. My body was having a hard time processing protein and iron, swollen tongue and throat, and kidney issues, also extremely dry skin. I thought it had to do with anxiety, sense mental health is an issue in my family. One day I was like omgs it’s the peanuts, I stopped eating them and about two weeks later I’m feeling better. I don’t have nut allergies but I did have toxic levels in my body. Eat peanuts at your own risk. If you want something high in fiber, calories, and protein eat an avocado, also super low in net carbs.
