@@MythicDwellers Pure Warrior with already existing Oblivion Warrior class Actually all the classes are pure already, what so called players own "pure build" are mostly "Adventurer" class
One thing I'd recommend though is just downloading one of those automatic +5 level up modifier mods or the realistic leveling mod for the game so that way you can just level up by playing as a Thief and not have to worry about tedious grinding/micromanagement and taking forever to level up.
Great video, but if you dont want to be com pletely broken with chameleon i advise using the morag tong armor, its a super cool set, but it requires owning the mehrunes razor dlc It fortifies every stat and skill a thief uses aswell as giving resistance to magic and normal weapons and feather and detect life, it also uses the model of the leather armor for gauntlets, boots, cuirass and greaves, while using the model for a black cowl for the helm, giving it an amazing aesthetic for thieves
For leveling, I HIGHLY recommend the attribute fix mod. It basically gives +5 on ANY attribute which governs a skill you raised that level. It removes the need to play optimally so as to not get fucked by the ridiculous scale, and actually make high difficulty runs passable without minmaxing to the absolute extreme. It lets you play the game the way you want without needing to meticulously raise the exact skills that will give +5 on attributes you want to raise that level. Kind of like Skyrim, but this system is way better with the fix implemented, since it's more detailed.
The only important attribute to get +5 is Endurance, others not so much, +2 or +3 is fine because unlike Endurance health points, they don't have any "carry over" points each level up
@@joaogabrielpeixotorodrigue5128 Yes, because health (gained each level ups) = Endurance ÷ 10, so the faster you get 100 Endurance, the faster you get the maximum health points for each level ups afterwards. Others will eventually maximized at any time, so it doesn't matter how long you reach 100 for each of them.
for major skills i would suggest Blunt or hand to hand for Strength, Armorer for Endurance, and of the 3 Speed skills since u will be using all 3 allot but Light armour is my pick since u will probably use it the least of the 3, Security or Marksman (depending on weather u will be using a bow, if u wont then Marksman) for agility, Mercantile (or Illusion if u aren't going to be using that at all) for personality, Mysticism for Intelligence since thief's don't use that and Destruction for Willpower.
Mythic Dwellers well done! I think you did a great job with this build, and I cannot wait to try it in my own game! It’ll be a good change of pace for my typical warrior builds!
love the guide, I've been following your instructions, however, I'm playing with a thief using illusion to help me in the fights with paralyze/calm/dispel/rally spells
you're voice and explanations are great ! makes me wanna binge play this again , bro I've only seen a few vids been an oblivion fan foreversince 2006 .
I haven't played oblivion yet, but after recently finding out about touch spells I feel like a stealth build that uses the touch spells as weapons (providing they can do a decent amount of damage for sneak and don't just barely do anything while getting you caught all the time) would be real fun and interesting.
Hey mythic glad to see you back and about making vids for oblivion again and hopefully you will.continue doing so because your vids helped me a bunch to.find cool and interesting mods for oblivion. I just started replaying it a few weeks back and wanted to put some more mods on maybe you could.help me with that lol
I started playing Oblivion recently and I'm really happy that I'm doing right as a Khajiit Thief 😂 but with those tips about leveling up and getting those items, i'm sure i'll get even more better. So thank you a lot for the amazing explanation and, please, keep going :)
WOW. Very good as always great quality and a great build. I’m gonna have to put my assassin on hold (Thanks for showing me how to get the black hand robes ❤️❤️) on hold for this build. Think I might switch marksman with security because I won’t use swords as often as I would a bow.
Good to see build for oblivion but most can be solved whit super broken enchanted gear... Just run whit a more than 100% chameleon magical armor... In my first playtrough i had a madness set of "sneak" as I needed something op at the end...to play trough the sneaky factions...
Sthealth with magic doesn't mix very well at Oblivion because magic does a noisi effect that all your enemies can hear. The only exception are ilussion and maybe, conjuration.
If I understand this correctly, efficient leveling is only good for the late game, because of the level cap, so you end up with the higher attributes. However is there any advantage for the early and mid game? I can't see any. Because after a certain amount of time you end up with the same value of attributes but with different level, which is useless? Moreover you will level your skills that you actually NEED slower. Am I right? I am newbie. Thanks.
light armour seems out of place if u want skills that u aren't using since a theif uses light armour on the regular so it would be a waste wouldn't it? EDIT: after looking up which major skills affect speed i get why light armour would be chosen sin the other 2 are used way more than light armour. my question now is though does it really matter what major skills u pick? since level doesn't affect skills and makes the game harder the higher u level up.
so say i wanna increase my endurance i level my heavy armor which is my minor skill 10 times and to increase agility i increase my sneak which is my major skill 5 times i play an argonian thief
Been having fun with this build and been using bow only but for some reason I can't seem to level up. Went through 2 factions before I hit 2. Am I missing something?
Very nice video. Thank you. I have a couple of questions... Why do you choose Armorer for Endurance? Wouldn't Heavy Armor be the one skill from that attribute we'll be using less as future thieves? And the other... You choose Marksmanship for Agility. I would like to become an assassin, and in my trial version of an assassin Khajit, I discovered that I am very into bows (first time playing Oblivion) and I am doubting between Security and Sneak for Agility as Major Skill. I don't know which one I'll be using less, nor which one is harder to level up... What would you recommend?
I chose Armorer for endurance because its easier to control the leveling in my opinion. If you ever need to repair something because your weapon is invaluable then you can pay a blacksmith to do it. This guarantees that armorer will only level when you want it to. Now leveling heavy armor is significantly harder because you will inadvertently level other skills. Ex) Conjuring up something to attack you (leveling conjuration). Letting an animal attack you requiring you to heal (leveling Restoration or Alchemy (If you make potions)). You could buy healing potions (Leveling mercantile) and in my opinion a waste of healing potions and gold. I Chose Marksman so that you can naturally level since using bows as a thief or assassin is very useful. If you want to switch it because you want to use bows exclusively, then security is the better choice. Sneak can be as uncontrollable to level as acrobatics or athletics. Just remember that leveling your major skills is required to level up. Having the most control over them will provide you with the best increases when you level.
Hey man. I am trying efficient leveling, following your advise. I've just leveled up and something came up. I added 5 points to endurance, speed and agility, but both my speed and agility appear now in red, and they don't have those 5 extra points. Why did this happen? What can I do to solve it?
Sounds like you've fought a creature that has a damage attribute effect. It sounds like you have Helljoint disease; it can be caught while fighting Wolves and Zombies. Go to any chapel and pray at one of the alters, that should fix it. Alternatively you could create/buy a cure Disease potion.
@@MythicDwellers Yes. It was fighting a wolf. It appeared in the screen that I caught something. It didn't have an immediate effect on anything so I forgot about it. Thanks a lot.

Why intentionally make your character so much weaker?
Ironically, Oblivion’s default leveling system actually makes your character weaker if you level your Major Skills faster. I’m sure someone else out there can explain it much better than I, but suffice to say that the vanilla game’s leveling system was not very well-implemented.
@@Marduk99-1 I know this comment is hella old but basically if you level up your major skills too fast then you won't have +5 attribute points when you level up. This is only really a big problem on hard difficulties but it can completely kill your save because all the enemies will be stronger than you. This is because your attributes will generally be a lot lower then they should.
