Please keep up these videos because I have this game but I need an up to date guide or etc and I just love how you do your videos so please keep up the good work.
You make some of the highest quality videos I have ever seen on UA-cam to be honest! It’s a great pleasure to see you making videos again. Edit: Thanks for the video by the way, I always get confused by this mini-game.
I'm around 250 hours into Oblivion and still don't have an inkling of an idea how to succeed in this damn wheel "game", and saying "the game is very easy" hurt my soul 😭
Welp, I watched the tutorial very carefully, and after multiple attempts, my best so far has been improving their overall disposition by a trivial FIVE points per round, with it dropping by two along the duration of a single round. This totals an improved disposition of merely THREE... meaning I shall, sadly, continue to bribe NPCs when positive disposition is a quest necessity, such as when searching for Raynil Dralas in Bruma
Wow ! You make such polished content. You cover my favorite game, Oblivion. Thank you for your efforts. You definitely covered how to max the disposition of a NPC but I feel there is more to be said. If your trying to grind up Speechcraft you want to spend more time in the conversation. As soon as the NPC has max disposition they can't be used anymore. To keep the conversation going, try this. Find the wedge with the hate response. Click the wedges in clock-wise order, ending on the hated wedge. The NPC will soon be at zero. Then click the wedges in clock-wise order, ending on the loved wedge. This will slowly raise the NPC's disposition toward max. If you want the most disposition from a NPC, begin the conversation with a weapon drawn. This usually lowers disposition by ten points. Play the mini-game to max disposition. Exit and sheath the weapon. Thank you again for promoting this game.
There's another thing you can do to max out disposition even further. First, play through the mini-game until the npc's disposition is maxed, but do not bribe them. Then, exit the conversation, draw your weapon, and reenter the conversation. This will cause the npc's disposition towards you to drop by a factor of 10. This will allow you to play the mini-game again. Use the speech wheel until their disposition is maxed again. Exit the conversation window. Sheathe your weapon, and talk to the npc again. Their disposition toward you should be around 10 higher than it was the first time you played the mini-game. So, if you maxed out an npc's disposition at 75 the first go-round when you do it a 2nd time (with weapon drawn), their disposition towards you should be around 85 when spoken to for a third time, with weapon sheathed, of course. This method also works if you want to provoke an npc into attacking you, assuming their aggression stat is high enough. Take the Mythic Dawn sleeper agents, for example. The ones posing as citizens have an aggression stat of 10, as opposed to 5 like your typical npc. Npcs with an aggression of 6 or more will attack you if their disposition is lowered enough. This means that if you come across one, you can pick options they hate, thus lowering their disposition. But, if their disposition to you is maxed, you can draw your weapon, do the speech game, choose options they hate until their disposition is 0. They'll attack. Guards will consider it an assault, and take care of them for you.
Fourth strategy is the easiest one wait until all the turns are over when the done button lights up then bribe the guy until it's at Max then press done
I only started playing Oblivion since Christmas last year and I found the persuasion wheel so cool and intuitive, I couldn't believe everyone else found it difficult because for me it was genuinely the easiest part of the game, the hardest part for me is trying to block without getting staggered or ragdolled.
Yeah I really found the combat system confusing and annoying and ended up playing on a lower difficulty. Any time there was 2 or more enemies I ended up getting stun locked and dying
Nice to see that you're back. I have Oblivion on my Xbox One\360. I've played it a countless number of hours, but I think I'll get it on PC for mods now.
When I first started, I actually did not realize that you can only pick one of the options once I thought it was just , find the like option and then click it
This was a great help, thank you. I just recently got the game and I absolutely love it. This is the only Elder Scrolls game I've really played, other than a little bit of Skyrim on my bf's laptop.
For me I never seem to go anywhere. The number in the middle just hovers around 70 to 75. The colours inside the wedges grey out. Worse it just eats up the money. It wouldn't be so bad if the persuade thing could be avoided but many quests can't be completed unless you can persuade a character to give up information. And why is the wedge for the thing the character hates almost always full but the wedge for the action they love almost always empty? Edit: I finally figured out how to make it work!
Thank you for this! I just started playing Oblivion today after I've played Skyrim for a long time. I did not for the life of me understand this mini game haha
Just imagine if real life dialogue was like this. You make friends with people by considering whether to compliment them, coerce them, boast to them, or tell them a joke and you notice that their facial expressions are changing based on what you are thinking. Imagine the absurdity of discovering that someone has no sense of humor or gets pissed off at empty threats, so instead of avoiding jesting and boasting, you commit to only boast and joke a little... over and over again and you become great friends in two minutes. Or you contemplate threatening them and bragging about how great you are to them and you notice as you are considering it that the sicko has a weird smile on their face, so you start threatening them and lying about all your supposed accomplishments and you quickly become great friends even though they hate your constant dad jokes and half-hearted compliments. :D Imagine the books that would be written about social skills or relationships. Like "my love language is 'constant threats and joking'... or bribes." Imagine the social life of the person who thought up this dialogue system. What if that is just normal for them and they wonder why they have no friends. lol
lmao just make a charm 100 pts on touch for 1 second spell you can do it even if you have novice illusion and it costs very little magicka it makes the entire skill of speechcraft obsolete, plus you can do things you can't do with speechcraft, like charm guards that are already coming after you so that they remove your bounty
Can you review the crimson eviscerator, the arguably best weapon in the game, and the objectively best dagger in the game Dont forgot to mention that you need to uninstall the dlc and reinstall it to obtain it for your current level, otherwise youll get the weakest one
Important question, I've just started the game, never done an RPG fantasy before, ever. But I just can't get the persuasion wedges to activate so that I can use them. Is there a hot key? I've left clicked on the wedges, right click dragged, scrolled, space barred, used every effin Fkey and number. WTF?! Very frustrating. I need to persuade some troops and Martin to follow me out of the church and find the captain so that we can get the hell out of dodge, no can do.
hey man, great videos! wondering if you can help me. I was doing the mehrunes dagger quest and i got hit by poison that damaged my endurance, and im not sure how to get it back to where it was? is there an item that gives me back my endurance? btw its not a disease because i did the cure disease and nothing happened.
Looks like you've been hit by a damage Endurance Potion, so you need to use a Restore Attribute Potion or spell. Ideally you can also go to one of the churches and activate the alter that should fix it, but if your infamy is higher than your fame you cannot pray at temples. If you want a Restore Attribute Spell the Healers in the churches sell them. I can't remember which one sells the restore endurance spell though. If you want more information on Restore Attribute spells and potions then visit this link to the wiki: en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Restore_Attribute

Okay I'm having an issue in Oblivion. This is my first time playing it and I'm trying to accomplish the initiation test to join the thieves guild but the woman beat me to the journal. It suggests since it's against the rules to kill one of my competitors that i should steal it from her but I can't locate her on the map. Any suggestions? None of the videos that I've watched touched on this scenario. Or a least I haven't found one yet.
I’m probably one of the few people who enjoy the persuasion mini game. Lock picking was also a bit more enjoyable in Oblivion than Skyrim (more so when Unlocking Spells we’re available as an alternative) which kinda shoved the whole lock picking mini game down your throat
My God! What a confusing tutorial! You should’ve given some examples rather than just talk about them with random images from the game going by in the background which were ultimately distracting to what you were saying. Seeing the strategies you talked about regarding the persuasion game in action firsthand would’ve been very helpful.
