It might be bittersweet saying goodbye to Splash Mountain but Tiana's Bayou Adventure looks very promising and I can't wait to head down the bayou! We can cherish the memories we have of this ride over the last 3 decades but now it's onto a new chapter that will create memories for millions of people in the future!

I'm glad I got to go on this ride in 2014, but I'm looking forward to seeing the retheme.
The pacing of this ride is so perfect, it actually feels worth the wait in line.
They don't make em like they used to
Now it's sixty seconds for a 90 minute wait ;/
@@boojersey13yep
The funny thing about WDW, the longest rides tend to have the shortest wait times too.
@@boojersey13 … Cough Cough TRON
In 1999 on our honeymoon my husband got stuck on this ride for so long the music is burned into our brains. We finally got walked off which was not as cool as some other rides. But we always loved it. Our last ride was 9/24/22 while celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. It will be missed

The ride still exists. Enjoy what, a theme?

@@roux.169 The theme was awesome. The best theme out of any ride at any disney theme park imo.
I will always miss the old music such a shame and such a great ride.

Arguably the most consistent and popular ride they had, no matter what time of day or year there’s always people on this ride
Watch that status come screaming to a halt once it reopens
@@samboi123 it def won’t just because people will be excited to ride the new ride but overtime tianas will definitely become much less popular than splash mountain
@@saulgoodman4929 100%. Disney will think it’s a win because of the first few months, then they’ll realize how bad they messed up. I’ll probably ride Tiana’s once so I can say I gave it a chance, but Splash is my favorite ride. There’s no replacing this for me.
i got to ride is three times in early january this is my childhood it’s so hard to watch it go
I just hope they keep splash around in Disneyland just in case people don’t like Tiana’s

@@adambrown6669 They're not modifying the track. It's just a re-theme to a more modern IP with updated technology for the show scenes. I love Splash Mountain, but I think this is the right move. It's dated and needed more than just a new coat of paint. The only thing I don't agree with is changing the name, "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" doesn't sound nearly as catchy.
@@ProcyonPal "updated technology for the show scenes" = more screens because animatronics are more expensive to maintain. Downgraded technology is more like it.
@@thewonderfulworldofholiday7107 ik hypocrite. You only reply to this person but not the other people who were judging the tethered ride? Sure
Can't even truly explain how sad I am that this ride is going away. I know it's "just a ride", but it was so much more than that for me. Some of my fondest memories as a child were on this ride. Everything about this ride is perfect. Characters, soundtrack, atmosphere, storytelling, everything was simply incredible. My all-time favorite amusement park ride, and I don't think it will ever be topped. I can understand why the change is being made, but Splash Mountain is such an icon in amusement park history, it just doesn't feel right being replaced
To me not being able to hear Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah makes it not worth it to me. This is an iconic Disney song going back generations.
SplashMountain is going away?!
Meh, I'm more of a Winnie the Pooh person lol.
I agree. Add Splash Mountain nostalgic pile of things that are no more. Who remembers the amazing classic Pizza Huts?
I don’t understand why it has to go? Could they not just build a new ride for the black mermaid fans?
Best Ride in the whole park. Disney World just won't be the same without it, and nothing can replace the magic and enjoyment this ride brought to so many visitors.
I agree completely
I'm here now and it's the same
@@armanichester8727it says temporarily closed online.. its still there? I am planning my first trip there so have never gotten to go on it :(
The momory of riding Splash Mountain will never be forgotten. I'm 29 years old and to this day I still remember when our dad supprised my sister's and I with a trip to WDW when I was 12. Splash Mountain was the very first ride we did.
One of the best memories growing up and I will forever hold that memory. I'm saddened that when we get the chance to take our four girls to WDW someday this ride won't be like it was before.

Agreed! It's such an icon.
True that 👍
This ride has a place in my heart. As I’m getting older I don’t go to magic kingdom that often anymore, but this was a pretty darn good ride. I remember going down the big drop with my cousin, holding his arm as tight as I could. He’s like the older brother that I never had. This ride is amazing and it’s sad to see it go. It’s amazing sound track, animatronics, and drops of course. This will be a memory to everybody of getting absolutely soaked. And just always remember that you may get wet.
Same on this ride I would hold onto my cousin cuz I got scared of the big drop😂
Same! I'll never forget running to it and going for a ride on it at 2 a.m. during extra magic hours. It was, for lack of better words, magic. I still smile every so often thinking back to memories like that. It holds a special place in my heart and always will, and I won't shy away from admitting i'm sad it's being renovated.
Too bad it got cancelled by overly-sensitive progressives who bring race into everything.
This ride is one of the reasons why I’m a theme park enthusiast today, and it makes me so sad to see this go. This my 2nd favorite attraction of all time, and I’m gonna miss it dearly.
I hate Splash mountain just cause I never rode it
@twistedjake_ What was your first?
@@MonteWest It was Space Mountain, but I like Guardians more now
Thanks!
This was my absolute favorite ride as a kid. Every year I’d run straight to it as soon as my mom and I got to the park. The music, the smell of the water, getting my clothes all wet on a hot day, reminds me of some of the happiest memories of my life.
thank cancel culture for that one, I'll miss this ride
absurd they got rid of this. absolutely terrific ride.
I mean this is more than a ride. This is an experience! You just look at how it takes you through a whole story, it gives you the sense that you’re not even on the same ride you started on. That view after the drop too, looking back on the mountain and the stump. Amazing!!! Iconic! Truly iconic! This version out of the 3 is in my opinion the best. There will never be anything like it again. New attractions may come close, but this one was absolute perfection. And that you will not get again.
Don't worry once disney realizes the loss in profits due to the princess and the frog ride they will restore splash mountain. It may take a historic preservation activist to do so but it will be restored. Don't give up hope.

My favorite ride ever.... I can't think of another ride that lasts this long. Most rides you wait hours for a 3 min thrill... this one lasts like 12 minutes. It's so great!
Splash Mountain was Imagineering at its peak. It feels like a ride Walt Disney and his original imagineers created, definitely on the level of Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.
Losing Zip a Dee Do Dah in the parks is also a major loss

Words cannot describe how much I'm going to miss this masterpiece of Imagineering. Everything about it from the music, to the colourful characters, to the warm and wholesome atmosphere is just perfect. My ultimate comfort ride. I will never forgive Disney for taking this away.
I'd be so much happier if they re-themed one and left the other alone, like Tower of Terror/Mission Breakout. Smh... Shameful. I was never a fan of Princess movies. Always preferred Disney's animal movies.

I don’t understand why they can’t make a new movie with all the animated characters and refurbish the ride of the new movie. It would change the reputation and even add to/fix some parts of the ride.
The problem is what it’s based on, not necessarily the film itself
The characters still have a legacy attached to them
