After rewatching the POV for tiana’s, it breaks my heart how amazing this was. Tianas is such a FLOP. Truly destroyed an iconic attraction 💔

For me, losing this version hurts even more. Nearly all of the animatronics from this version came from the extinct attraction America Sings. That was always so fascinating to me and it breaks my heart to see these animatronics that have a big history at the park be thrown away and scrapped.

Bro I feel like crying. This has ALWAYS been my favorite ride. It was so wholesome, and not based on the movie’s story. R.I.P. Splash Mountain. I’ll miss you

Anyone else here to compare this classic ride with the apparently less fun new one?

It’s so sad to know that it’s closing. Disney knows that the fans love the ride. They could change a few songs or character names, but not the whole ride. Splash Mountain will be greatly missed ❤

I just watched the new Tiana version of the ride. Splash mountain was truly an uplifting ride with a grest story behind it. Nothing like it. An original. If I was one of the imaginees that came up with crap I would be kicking myself in the behind. This is going to get ripped apart by fans. It will always be splash mountain no matter what you changed it to.

Splash mountain was such a perfect ride. Trying to withhold judgement of Tiana’s until I actually ride it. But the wdw POV has me worried

This is probably the best the ride’s operated in years. Glad they gave it some shine before laying it to rest.

Losing this ride feels like a giant emotional loss cuz I’m not a kid that much anymore so losing this ride feels so much like losing a piece of my childhood. My heart will always sing “A zipidee doo da zipidee ay my oh my what a wonderful day”. Forever rest in piece Splash mountain.

I'm 19 years old and grew up in Irvine, CA. I remember my dad taking me to Disneyland often and this was my favorite ride along with Pirates, but when he died when I was 12, the visits to Disneyland became almost nonexistent. I'm going to Disneyland again soon, only to see that Splash Mountain is closed for renovations. I will never forgive Disney for this.

I will forever remember Splash Mountain and its beautiful atmosphere. The whole ride felt like the best adventure ever, with the best musical theme to go with it!! I'm so thankful I've been able to experience and enjoy this ride many times over the past several years. I'm 20 years old, and I can't wait to have countless Zippety-Doo-Dah Days for the rest of my life. I love Disneyland so so so much, and I will forever and always remember the pure joy this ride and music has brought me throughout my childhood. My oh my, what wonderful days!! Thank you so much TPMVids for bringing me one last look at this incredible, happy ride!!! So much nostalgia!! I was smiling ear to ear ;) the whole time!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Talk about a quintessential Disney ride, amazing music, great story, just the right amount of thrill, beautiful facade and a whole cast of animatronics… they just don’t make em’ like this anymore.
