- A FULL HD POV and preshow of Stitch's Great Escape, the now abandoned and DEFUNCT ride at Walt Disney World, Orlando Florida. The ride is located in Tommorowland at Magic Kingdom inside the Disney World Florida Resort. Stitch's Great Escape was a ride that replaced ALIEN ENCOUNTER, using the same technology and ride system. I understand some people found it a little scary but this was honest to god my FAVORITE ride as a child. It breaks my heart that it’s gone.
For real though. The only reason why people shit on it, is because it replaced alien encounter, but as it’s own thing this ride was pretty enjoyable. Take away the cringe dialogue from the guest, and the Chili dog burp smell, I think it would’ve been a better attraction.

I went through this when I was a kid. Stich burped into my ear and ate someone's phone during the blackout part. It was quite entertaining and scary for 10 year old me

I was 5 when I went on it and he sneezed on me I was so sad when I heard it shut down this was my first ride
I been on this ride. One time I feel a bit of a breeze from my side, assuming Stitch was running behind levin the dark ninja style.
If it's still open, I wanna go do see it. Its really cool how they utilized people's senses than sight to create the illusion that Stitch is there.
Sadly, it closed earlier this year. It's getting replaced by a Wreck-it-Ralph ride.

am I the only one who dearly misses this ride even though it scared the crap out of them? I can’t imagine experiencing Alien Encounter lol I’ve only rode on this one. also was this filmed on the last day bc these people seemed wayyy too enthusiastic to be riding this attraction from when I have went on here lmao
The ride before it the x.s alien ride before it was not any less scary as u see stitches ride. It’s the same exact ride but with different characters. Instead of it being stitch it was another gory alien I believe was named like skippy or something

I remember riding this with my dad in 2007 when I was 10 years old! I'm planning a trip with my husband for 2023 and was so sad to see it was closed! It was one of the most memorable rides and we still remember not being able to get the chili dog smell from his burp out of our noses for days! Going to miss this one.

I still remember the scent that the chairs shot out when Stitch burped. It smelled almost exactly like beef ramen seasoning
I gotta say, the animation is really impressive. Like a direct to DVD sequel, albeit, a very good one in the ranks of Lion King 2 and Cinderella 3. Why couldn’t Stitch! The Movie and Leroy and Stitch be more like that? Then again it was made by Disney TV animation, not DisneyToon and they were a pilot and ending to the tv series made on a television budget. The animatronic 90210 robot voiced by Richard Kind was a bit creepy, yet funny at the same time. Same with the Lt. Sludge and Stitch himself.
But, alas, the ride will be missed, along with the fully rendered hand-drawn animated segments.

This was the first ride i went on back in 2007 i was 8 at the time i still remember the ride very well it was scary but also very cool!
I miss this Disney Attraction. I saw it twice in 2007 & I saw it twice again in 2009. Oh I wish this Attraction equipment Prequel to Lilo & Stitch was a permanent attraction to Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrow Land.

That alien ride was not even that bad idk why they called it “scary” it’s the same thing as this ride but with aliens that are more gory in a way but not even a bad ride at all. Same ride, kinda different concepts

i’m so happy i got to go on it when i was about 10, it kind of scared me but i remember smelling Stitch’s burp and it was stuck in my nose the rest of the day lol it was bad 🤢
I will say the part that scared me the most was when gantoo says and get me power cause as a 4 year old kid going on the rid it looked like stitch was about to jump off the platform and attack me (11:36 to 11:43) I swear I screamed like a little girl but it was one of my favorites i still have memories of stitch on my shoulders and hearing the burp of chili dogs and the pre show. I wish it wasn’t closed Down.
My daughter is obsessed with Lilo and stitch and would have loved this. I wish there was a lilo and stitch little theme park somewhere.

Stitch is cute
I remember been on this ride and when stitch jumps on your shoulders it really hurt me and the seat thing didn't go back up and every time he jumped the deeper it went into my shoulders. I liked the ride but I was more scared of stitch jumping on my shoulders again and breaking them. The next day I could hardly move my arms.
Did anyone else have this or was I sat in a faulty chair?

I agree with Ghoul Buster. I loved this when it was Alien Encounter? It was scary and fun. I always found it funny that no one warned the maintenance guy about the alien. My heart was broken when they stopped it. Now they have recycled it, but it is not the same which makes me sad.

Tbh I think alien encounter would be more fun even tho I wasn’t born during that time. I only saw a video and it looked fun to me not to mention I heard people really liked it!!
I think the biggest issue with this ride was the massive restrain it “clearly required” if you were allowed to move a bit I think it wouldn’t be so bad but I still loved it.
I remember going on this ride when I was 12.. omfg I miss it.

Unpopular opinion apparently but this was my favorite ride in my opinion it wasn’t scary it was just cool.
I couldn’t agree more with you if I tried I love the shit out of that ride and I was a 20 something-year-old if I remember correctly and I’m still pissed they closed it because that means stitch is getting no representation in any of the parks at all and that will forever and always piss me off to this day

I miss this ride. I used to act like a loyal officer to Captain Gantu, and the Grand Councilwoman.
I’m glad this shut down. I went on it once and never went back. Just like it’s a bugs life i never went back because of whatever hit my back that made me feel like I got stabbed. I cried and my mom took me out and I have never been back since.
I wish they could have upgraded it by making the seats rotated while going up and down.

It's supposed to move to make it feel like stitch is on you. You dont move at all. It was a terribly boring ride.

What happens when it goes dark?
It used to be that you could feel and hear Stitch crawling around the audience - back when it was Alien Encounter, you could feel the alien drooling on you and even 'licking' you, so presumably they kept some of that too.
