What a superhumanly fast walkthrough of Pitioss. I did the dungeon once and never will again. Must have missed at least 50% of the treasures but at least got the Black Hood.
I DID IT! I FUCKING DID IT! Oh my god, my hands are shaking. And yes, I saved. I saved twice just to be positive. But I wanted those Genii Gloves and the oracle coins to get some ribbons. I missed a bit of the loot but I'm not that damn desperate to do it again to collect it.

Oh, and my completion time was five hours, 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, this day of 6/23/17. Yes, I'm dating this comment to forever have it in my memory, lol.
this donjon has been created by one sick person! like seriously, going there is a challenge (after 3 crash I "succeded" by drifting with the car against the wall...)
then when you are in this is where it truly begin. You will remember this comment while playing when you will think "f*ck those pointy stuff", "f*ck I'm falling again", "f*ck this is not where I want to jump" and "you know what, I should just play the video and never go further than the video pause like a smart ass"...
And all that for a stupid black hood, such a great way to spend an afternoon... but still a must do!
Victor Valvekens if anyone is reading this before watching the video the I will suggest going blind on this. I agree with Victor that some sick bastard created this but it was fun nevertheless. I hope to see more like this added to the game. sometimes it's good to take a break from killing all those monsters and just using your head (or losing it) when doing such mind boggling puzzles.
mkhan89 At some point I was thinking I was back playing some Legend of Zelda or something! Yeah it was fun and really a huge satisfaction in the end but very frustrating to see someone literally speed running when you can barely land a jump (mostly at the end with four horizontal bars and spikes below when you are back in the first room, I'm pretty sure those who've done it knows what I am talking about) :D

I was in that dungeon for at least 5 or 6 in game days....i now have ptsd from this dungeon and wonder who the sadistic bastard is that made it....thank God there is only one of them.....right?.....RIGHT?!

Save the SECOND you get out of this dungeon. I'm aware that I should have when i beat it, but I didn't. I ended up crashing the regalia trying to land it, and of course, the game didn't autosave and I have to do the whole thing over again. SAVE.

InfinityInspiron I'm probably going to use a method I saw to finish the dungeon in 6 minutes and still get the Genji Gloves and the Black Coat. I was obviously really frustrated afterwards, but I'm still glad I went through the whole dungeon one time!

Yeah, you know what happened to me... I falled down at this pont and the checkpont wasn't right bevor the last jump (or when you oppened the last door), no no no... it reseted at the enter of the dungeon, so I could do half of the dungeon all over again. Fuck this, fuck square enix, I loved jumping puzzle, but if they are too stupid to fix the checkpoint setting after half of a year, then fuck this stupid game. I rather do 100 chocobo races from FFX, than playing this game ever again!
Count me in, fuck square enix and their handicapped checkpoint, the near final jump is way too hard for the first time.
Or just stand on Ignis or Gladious Shoulders

This is just crazy! This dungeon took me 4 hours to beat. Of course I fell quite a lot and got all the collectibles, but still.....damn impressive!

Oh yea and for those that panic after falling from them pillars near the end you DON'T have to start again.
Just make your way to the room where you dropped the wrecking ball on the statues head near the beginning. Look for the reddish/orangey touchpad thing high up and you should remember where you are.

i was like "oh well before I stop playing the game, I'd like to complete this dungeon I've heard about" ...but then I watched this video and "nope! no way in hell I'm putting myself through this"

Jameil Lewis They died...you know that sort of gong noise that goes off in the background? That's him respawning and Noctis hitting the ground. Trust, even the "pros" have hiccups :) Still, this gives me faith that even with deaths, I hope I can beat this in a generous two hours, and that's with me getting most items. The Oracle Ascension coins will be great for buying a ribbon in Altissia to tackle the 99 floor hidden dungeons. Especially the one for Costlemark I where you can't use a single item. Ugh.

5 hours only? I had to leave this game running on my pc overnight because I didn't manage to finish it on the same day I have started. Only to get to final section the dungeon, miss a jump... and respawn at the very beginning of the whole dungeon. Screw this game and it's shitty controls and mechanics.

Mind boggling !! I don't know how a game designer to figure out the intricate details of this puzzle platform level. Doing it is hard enough, but to desgin this level is a marvel !!

I really appreciate the extreme detail that Square Enix went into to create Final Fantasy XV. The way the monsters are created, the way the pitioss run makes you wonder and puts you at the edge of your seat, how day changes into night like in the real world, and of course, the way Noctis' clothes get charred by the time he finishes the pitioss ruins run. It's all so amazing. Too bad my job does not allow me to play video games anymore, if not i would buy a PS4 just to play Final Fantasy XV.

6:06 a little tip for some people doing this part get on the ball and at one point it will stop spinning and it will be easy to get though it
1 year later I finally beat this dungeon.
That was hell, but now it's over and it was kinda fun. I had around a 1/3rd figured out myself then I got stuck, thanks to your guide I was around the seven hour mark. Won't be doing that for a while.

I fell at this particular part at 22:51 got respawned to the start. Anyway I can get to the 21:51 part from the start fast?

Thanks for the amazing guide! I ran through this my first time just now took about 45 min following this vid having to pause it every 10 seconds lol. I was so excited to try the black hood i just fought the enemies outside the dungeon and then tried to fly with regalia and hit a fucking rock. And i didnt save it lol! Had to run through it a second time which took about 15 min or so just remembering the path you took appreciate the vid!!
P.S. I definitely save it this time before i even left the dungeon steps lol!
I made it to the Genji Gloves and got to the part where you jump to the demon statue and jump again to the steel beam. Died about 15 times, I don't care anymore!!
When it took me five hours to get through the spikes I was relieved and then I realized there is more because of this video. FUCK!

This dungeon is harder than all of Orcarina of time combined.
Mostly due to shitty controls and input leg, though.
I remember being almost done and I had my PS4 on rest mode bc I had to go out when I came back my mom told me the power had been out and ofc my PS4 had turned off I have to do this whole thing again and haven't touched the game for almost four weeks bc I'm so pissed about it

i fell into oblivion in your movie at 23 minutes! ended back in main hall can't find my way back to from where i fell! and i don't wanna play the 3D level all over again!! it took me eight hours to reach the point of 23 minutes in this movie!!

I see the key is to be confident with Noctis. This game makes my nerves bad, lol. After every jump, I'm constantly repositioning him and the camera to ensure the best results...which goes to shut when Noctis decides he's going to pop back up from landing and run right off of something -_-"
I got as far as the spinning drum thing at the beginning before getting stuck. I've watched a few walkthroughs of this but I'm still expecting it to be a beast. Wish me luck!

This dungeon was made in the fiery pits of dark souls movement sensitivity. I swear to god, the people who have not screamed even once during the duration of the dungeon, Godspeed....
Even Dark Souls has better movement controls than this game

i haven't started the dungeon yet. did complete the quest. just completed everything else in the post game and trying to get the magiteck v2 before i start but i might have to abandon that one. and oh yea. it was hell learning how to land the rigalia. i was crashing all over the place for a day or two. hahah

FYI, patch 1.03 on PS4 makes landing on that strip much easier. Landing in general is now much more forgiving.

Yeah, I once got a Game Over for grazing a siderail long after the wheels were on the ground. Now even if I hit it I still manage to land successfully.

You could at least tell people to save at 23:13 . Should thank @Will Beharrell (a guy in the comments) for specifying where to go if you fall back to begin without breaking the statue.

Spent and entire in game week in here but I solved everything without a guide but holy hell it was annoying constantly restarting especially the area with the maiden statue

this is so weird. I didn't have any problems with landing. Got the F-Type, tried Landing at the dungeon site immediately. Worked like a charm. The controls feel kinda like Kerbel Space Program I guess
