I've been car camping in my 2012 Pathfinder for the last 3-ish years. An Exped MegaMat fits perfectly in the back. I'm 5'11 and can lay fully stretched out. My truck is 100% stock because it is a full time people hauler...excited to see your mods. Cheers and enjoy the new project!
Before you buy a new door lock mechanism, have a look at the wiring loom between the body and the door. Frequently one of the wires in that rubber section will be fractured.
Nice vehicle Andy, I cant believe you got it that cheap with only 65k miles on it, absolute steal. I cant wait to see how you kit it out. My buddy over here in the states has the Frontier which is the US version of the Navara. He ended up putting a topper on the bed and kitting it out for overlanding and says its one hell of a ride out in the mud. Cheers from over the pond my friend.
Usually when the airbags go off it leaves a code in the module that cant reset. The module has to be replaced. I work at a body shop and almost every airbag replacement requires module replacement and reprogramming. It's usually in the center of the vehicle, under the center console or middle of the dash. I'm in Texas and luckily an airbag light will still pass inspection. It's considered a supplemental safety system.
Absolutely subscribed. Not much of an outdoors guy but somehow youtube started recomending your videos and i'm super glad it did. Your channel is an extremely soothing watch, love your passion and knowledge - Looking forward to seeing the Patty Project unfold!
Welcome to my world : Overlanding. Oh, 19 mpg? My Jeep enjoys 13 on most of our trips around California. And completely worth it for the adventures we enjoy! Congrats on a new direction! 😀
I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit for the different camera angels on this video driving Patty. Really great video Andy! Cheers and look forward to your future videos
Andy, congrats on your vehicle. It must be exciting to work on a project auto. My advice to you is to make all your low-budget repairs first, then unto the bigger ones, like fluid leaks. Once you are finished with those, address the custom modifications you desire to do. Congrats and I look forward to more updates.
Ahhh, boys and their toys! You will really enjoy this project and getting Patty altered to be what you envision for her!!! I truly hope it all goes to plan Andy! Good luck with it.
Just acquired an L20 single cab long bed will be building it up as a work/camping vehicle hopefully before summer Its a 2010 model with 80k on the clock already has a suspension lift and weight upgrade running at 4.1 tons working hard saving harder to make it possible
Congratulations mate, I just got a Pathfinder in Melbourne Australia, three weeks ago I had the same problem with the rear, tailgate and glass and also the door handle. I ended up getting over to Lift looks amazing such an underrated vehicle. I’m very happy with mine as well.
First thing to do on a Pathfinder with that low mileage is to bypass the transmission oil using an independent radiator, avoiding the risk of the infamous SMOD. Other important thing to do is to delete the EGR. Doing this 2 things, you're going to enjoy for a long term, an excelent real 4x4. Cheers
We drove an 05 for 12 years. Loved our pathfinder. One word of advise is to put a separate transmission cooler on it and get the transmission lines out of the radiator. The radiator will deteriorate and shoot antifreeze in your transmission and explode it. It costs around $7500 for a new one. Ask me how I know.
Loved my 2007 Pathy R51...Truck was tough as nails. Put some helper air bags in the rear, and a small lift on her. Worked and ran great the whole time I had it. To include several trips halfway across the US and back. Never complained. I remember there was a trick to the rear door (not working) I can't remember what it was though
Good morning. Nice vehicle. I have the same model. Just to give you a heads up. That model had a recall on a transmission sensor. Probably not that expensive. But it slowly leaked antifreeze into my transmission. A new transmission cost 4800 American dollars to repair. I did not get the recall in the mail like most people may have. I enjoy watching your videos. And I couldn’t believe you bought a car just like the one my wife drives. Have your mechanic look at the transmission fluid I’m assuming and make sure there’s nothing else in it. Good luck with your vehicle can’t wait to see you modify it.
Andy I can hardly wait to see the end results. You have some amazing ideas to pimp it out . Good luck ,,,,Gail from Worcester Massachusetts ❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️
Hi Andy, love the new van you've got, as a Nissan owner I don't think you will regret buying her , I've got an old 2006 Micra sport cabriolet that I love dearly, she is just so reliable starts first turn of the key every time and I've hardly spent a penny on her to get through her MOT .thanks for showing us round your new baby 😆 Hope you have a lot of fun with Pattie 😁👍❤️
I’m excited for you and this new project. Pathfinder is a hearty little beast. Be sure to share the good and the bad both are learning experiences for us! ❤
Congratulations on your new ride! From your description you have big plans for your new vehicle, looking forward to your progress on that! Have fun with it! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your new adventures with your new bestie!😊
Loving the videos and love the new project. But…. Remember if you change the size of the wheels you may also need to have the speedo adjusted to compensate for the larger wheels. Or you could be doing 70mph on the speedo but actually your doing 80mph
Andy, Andy, Andy ... you are having wwaaayyy too much fun with the new ride. Geez, its already pimped out! LOL Know what you mean when you mention the accessories/work to be done; its going to be the ultimate camper when you are done. Now, you need to worry about the poor lil truck feeling ignored! LOL
Nice find, a friend of mine got one of these a few month ago, we fitted a TDI tuning box to it a month ago and it made the truck alot better and using a less fuel than prior.
How exciting to have a new toy to fix up to your liking. Looking forward to see all the updates as you install them. Congratulations on your new wheels. Be safe and well til the next one.
Hi Andy, good luck with the project.Ihave a 1997 Pajero, and she's my project car. 306,000Kms on her. I just lack the confidence to go bush on my own. So I will be looking forward to watching your adventures
We have a 2010 and the seats all do fold flat. Depends on which latch you pull. And there is a flap that unvelcros to cover the space between flattened seat rows. So because it all folds flat there is 6’ room from back door to middle seat which goes vertical behind front seats. You can also do any 60/40 split. My teenage son slept well in our car and the rest of us popped up a gazelle (stored in roof box) - so a very quick set up/take down. Best part though is my Pathfinder (camp kitchen) Chuck box that fits behind 3rd row angled seat. Chuck box back follows back seat angle. Stove fits in the deepest bottom shelf, pots/bowls/dishes next shelf up and then the top row is the smallest depth and holds utensils, spices, cups, etc… First season with the Chuck box kitchen was a big success.
And with the 3rd row seat up in front of kitchen there’s a “wall” that gives our big pup her own cozy space in the 3rd row - on a flat squar-ish piece of plywood and foam.
I’ve always quite liked the look of the Pathfinder. Looks really spacious, 4x4, relatively cheap, parts widely available. First one I’ve seen on a UA-cam channel for a “camper”. Nice one!
Sold my Navara to another UA-camr because of the ULEZ... I really miss it but can drive round for free now.. There will be lots of bargains around if it goes ahead.. Good luck Andy may see your truck and my old truck in the same video soon maybe if I'm guessing right...😎
Just bought a 2012 pathfinder le with 89.000 miles on her for 15.000 in Massachusetts USA not a bad suv its big & safe drives great plenty of power for the highway anyway s its great 😊
Please tell me you are going to do some videos documenting the conversion/upgrades I would love to see that. Love your content mate keep up the good work
Its good to see a Pathfinder getting some love. Seems like its always Toyota this and Toyota that... (edit) in general, not on this channel specifically.
Looks great, Andy! Excited to see what all you do with it. It’s good to see you like a kid in a candy store 😆hope you get a lot fun out of it. Also, really liking the drone footage too
Exciting new project. I love the channel. My next vehicle will have to be more suited to an outdoor life. My Vauxhall Viva isn’t really big enough for all the gear.
I am very interested in the Videos about the Pathfinder. It is one of the vehicles i was looking at as an alternative to my current vehicle. I haven't seen anyone else modify a Pathfinder so it will be interesting to see how you modify yours.
Dude!! I'm super excited to see what you do with her and where you take her! I think you needed this kind breath of fresh air on the channel, maybe even bring in some new folks and continue to grow some more!
Love how happy Andy is with his new truck! Catch myself smiling.
I'm in the US and just sold my 2010 Pathfinder (original owner). I loved that vehicle and will be fun to reminisce as i watch your project.
Before you buy a new door lock mechanism, have a look at the wiring loom between the body and the door. Frequently one of the wires in that rubber section will be fractured.

Thought maybe he bought the Nissan my buddy replaced after it went under 9 feet of water as the hurricane went over Ft. Myers, Florida...
Not here, in the UK that light on will fail any MOT as its classed as a safety matter
Absolutely subscribed.
Not much of an outdoors guy but somehow youtube started recomending your videos and i'm super glad it did. Your channel is an extremely soothing watch, love your passion and knowledge - Looking forward to seeing the Patty Project unfold!
I can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m amazed at all the projects you come up with. Love your channel.

Happy days Andy , PS on board… living the dream.
Ive just bought my 2012 here in Australia and starting to plan my custom work and enjoy looking at your ideas 👍
Sounds like a great project Kent.
My only fear is the engine. I hope that you won't have any problems!
Keep it real mate!
It’s so good to see you this happy and excited. Enjoy your project vehicle! 😊
Your most Alan Partridgey episode ever Andy. Love it.

Andy! You are our new, favourite thing! Loving your videos...we're doing at least one a night.
Looks like a very capable car. Enjoy it, and the mods you plan on doing to it!
Great buy, Mate. You'll take care of it. Very happy for you!!!!
Awsome vehicle my friend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ahhh, boys and their toys! You will really enjoy this project and getting Patty altered to be what you envision for her!!! I truly hope it all goes to plan Andy! Good luck with it.
Old trucks/suvs are the coolest ones. Good purchase!
This is great! I have a 2011 with 195000 miles and still runs like a champ! It's our main family car.
Hi Andy ..Congratulations on your new car. 🙂👍🍺 .. Cheers ..
Hi Dan how are you doing. I’m Helena from Minnesota, nice to meet you here.😊
Simpsons hit and run is maybe one of the best games of its era 😂
I was also impressed with his taste on that one. A true gentleman.
One of the best games ever
There is a chap called reuben who is remaking it for the modern PC. Can find it on UA-cam.
My childhood that game haha
I have fond memories of playing that bizarrely hilarious game. 😅👏
Congratulations and have fun fixing it up.
Hi Juanita how are you doing. I’m Helena from Minnesota, nice to meet you here.😊
Can’t wait to see the step by step Videos from start to finish mate and to see her out when complete . Awesome vid mate
nice looking vehicle! I just bought a brand new Pathfinder a few months ago and so far I love it! Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Good find Andy, looking forward to seeing the build-out, sounds like it will be a fun , rugged vehicle when you are out and about on your ventures :)
Hi how are you doing. I’m Helena from Minnesota, nice to meet you here.😊
Yeah, you were definitely hearing gunshots. I noticed them earlier on in the video. Surprised to hear that out in the UK. Pretty common around me.
Hi how are you doing. I’m Helena from Minnesota, nice to meet you here.😊
Great video Andy me and my wife share a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder here in the US and we absolutely love it

Nice catch Andy. ☺👍Thumbs up from Sweden.
Nice find Andy. Looking forward on what you are going to do with that.
If you put M/Ts on you might find the noise annoying on a long journey. Great new vid though
Please tell me you are going to do some videos documenting the conversion/upgrades I would love to see that. Love your content mate keep up the good work

Andy....brilliant bud, comfort, style and practicality.....your health to drive it brother, congratulations....👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🍺🍺🍺

Congratulations for your new family member
Looking forward to seeing this develop Andy
Awesome truck, really looking forward to this series!
these are super popular in Australia and as the Frontier/Pathfinder in the USA. Check these markets for aftermarket equipment.
Much love and respect from Northern California
Patty looks like a fine travelling and camping companion! 👍👍😎🇨🇦📷
Love the Pathfinder. Can’t wait to see the progress.
Sounds like a great project Andy. Looking forward to seeing how it develops. Can see you as the next top gear presenter 😀
Good luck sir. Look forward to seeing your adventures in it
Dude!! I'm super excited to see what you do with her and where you take her! I think you needed this kind breath of fresh air on the channel, maybe even bring in some new folks and continue to grow some more!
those plastic tabs next to the handle if you pop it off it has a keyhole behind it
Hi Andy, one good thing about a pathfinder is they have lots of room perfect for camping. Ur viewer Blanca from California U.S.A.
You don't need any of the mods you've listed. It'll do what you want in stock form.
Stoked to see the progress on her
Sweet ! Very nice. Looking forward to this and Ranger mods.
Hey Kent you have a new vehicle, I can't wait to see what you do with the Nissan Pathfinder
