Awsome video. Finally someone who shares the storm while in the tent. Most turn off the camera once they get in they're tent. I think they miss sharing the best part of the camping experience. Good job.
Can tell you have no experience camping, or reality....lol.. How is this a review of the tent? lol.....you sat in your truck, eating, then "Got in the tent" as you said, "was only drizzling?" Then we get a bunch of different shots of a tarp, the rain, etc..Then you waking up, lol. You didn't stay in that tent, during that storm, and anyone here who believes you did, have zero experience in camping...let alone surviving in the bush, lol.........WOW

Where I camp, the park has 2.7 million visitors a year, if each person pulled of one branch, how long before there were no more branches. I raised my family going to that park and they are now raising theirs, I buy firewood from the local people. You are allowed to harvest downed branches if you obtain a backcountry permit and follow the rules.

Great camping story! You waited it out. We went camping. Very nice. We had a bottle of wine and some steaks. Then it stormed and hailed, and moved on. Unfortunately, another worse storm came. There was 6 inches of cold water flowing RAPIDLY THROUGH the tent! Gaaaah!!! EVERYTHING WAs WET!! AND COLD! At that point, we decided we needed to go back to the drawing boards with this camping idea. All of the wet gear went into the car trunk. We found a nice hotel not too far away, hot showers, warm room. Everything was nice, warm, and dry.
Natural, humourous, fun! I love it! As much as I love these video's, most other UA-camrs show too much detail on cooking rather then the WHOLE experience (including the rain) Thank you for showing us the REAL experience!!

I love these videos where u talk to us it makes me feel like I’m out there with you instead of watching a silent camp video like I’m some creeper lol enjoyed this thanks
first off i use a large silver waterproof tarp, my tent is 9x13 , tarp is 12x20 silver tarp. i learned to use only the silver brand tarps, , they are heavy weight , but you will stay dry,. a word of caution, most tent are in different sizes and shapes, but i have done some studies on tents and found out that the only tent to buy is a double sewn bottom with a a basement bottom. the tents you will notice are a dark color or black bottom, comparted to the color of the tent. i bought a reylon tent, 8 person for the 4 of us and used it 4 times without it ever leaking, with or without the silver tarp.
Eating a delicious campfire cooked burger, looking around nervously at the weather absolutely fucking it down onto a tarp keeping you actually pretty dry while also sat on a picnic bench is the single most niche life goal I could possibly define. The banana flask too. Incredible. I hope even when you wake on your worst days, you acknowledge with satisfaction and joy the comfort and peace this brings you but also what it may bring others. Its so weird and leftfield maybe to appreciate it this much, I cant explain it but its good vibes on par with the sun.
love your vibe dude this is some serious camping love the sounds using them to help me sleep its super hard to find videos with a storm of this level on youtube you talking through it makes it so much more relaxing appreciate the hard work man
You made me feel like going camping again! Some years ago I used to go camping with a bunch of girlfriends, (wild women of the woods we called ourselves, no husbands or boyfriends), It was fantastic. Every Memorial Day weekend that was our thing for quite a few years. I will be 80 years old in 5 years so I have put this idea on my bucket list. Thanks buddy for inspiring me.

You went out of your way to share the entire experience with us. Much appreciated and caused me to just now subscribe.
I like that you said you're camping with the car parked about 2 minutes away, and then a little bit on in the video you say it's 30 ft. That's the best slow walk ever!
Yeah I probably should have explained that a bit better. According to the rules of the campground, I was supposed to park in a separate parking lot after unloading my gear, but I ended up leaving my car right next to the camp. Ranger rolled by and didn’t seemed to mind so I said screw it.
Definitely add the gear reviews! But there's a catch: review the stuff us poor folks can afford. I would love to see a review of a harbor freight tarp, or a Coleman stove, or any other camping item that you are happy with. In all of your adventures I like knowing what works and what doesn't. Also your video gear. Like that tripod.

new subscriber here! the youtube powers know I love thunderstorms, and camping videos. The two combined into this. LOVED the atmosphere. you made the right call for sitting in your grounded vehicle and not on that wood/metal table during the lightening. YIKERS
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate that. It easy to edit that stuff and make it look like I stayed out the time but I like to keep it real and show it how it actually happens. Thank you so much for subscribing, cheers 🍻 🍌
Also, if you can remember, try a Juicy Lucy in a pretzel bun, it's awesome. Of course everyone's tastes are different, but if you like pretzels and burgers, you probably will love this combo. A very mild and soft pretzel bun, with a juicy burger...Yummm....
Dude that sounds killer. I've got two videos filmed already. Just got back from doing camps with Kevin. But I'm going to have to try that before the summer is over. Or maybe early fall, we'll see.
The best part of camping is if a storm or two or even three roll through! As long as you're prepared then next to your soulmate it's the most romantically exciting of feeling ALIVE experience you'll enjoy!!! ❤️ Love me some Weather 🙂👍
Camping is a relaxing comforting thing to do. To light a fire, be warm, have a nice meal, enjoy nature, sleep in the woods. Its all about being close to nature.
First time view of your channel. Have to admit I had to shake my head with all your oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. I was glad to see that you survived. For me it's the rain the thunder the wind that's the experience of camping. Beautiful area. I know I'll probably get back lash. Not trying to be a party pooper I'm just more of a thrill seeker, and I love that kind of stuff. Back in the beginning of 2023 we had a hurricane here in Florida and me and my friend were out in the gazebo as a hurricane was passing through and it was just pouring down rain from the top being ripped apart. we just sat in the gazebo still and we just laugh while having a good time drinking margaritas. So watching your video brought back some good memories. Thank you. I just love bad weather and being out in it camping. I love the downpours I love the strong wind. even in this last hurricane in October we were hit by 75 mph winds with wind gusts of 95 +and I was out in it. here in Florida. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing what your next great adventure might be😮
Sam, good to have you back. I go car camping, or park and walk to a spot a few miles on. Most campground, if you ask, have remote sites, some will tell you "i have fifty acres, camp where you want". Wood is expensive, as a carpenter i have no shortage of kindling, or larger dimension lumber. I collect empty cardboard boxes from any establishment, then cut the wood to size, stacked neatly with newspaper stuffed between, be surprised how much wood fits in a box. As well collecting radom logs through the year, cut and stack for future use. I bring a 18volt makita saw & pull saw with me, four charged batteries, good for four days cutting small logs i drag out of the woods, or rivers. Chopping gets old. Have a good one Sam.
i love setting up in solid rainstorms, eating W E L L....and hunkering down and eating well and appreciating primitive life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rain on bros and sis's!!!!
That was another fun one, Sam🍻 As for gear reviews-incorporating gear reviews, within a camping video, is maybe a better option than just a gear video. I’d like to know about gear you never leave home without, gear you like to have but don’t use often, and your gear regrets. If you took a shot from the banana flask every time I typed ‘gear’ in this comment, you’d have a pretty good buzz right now🍌👍🏻
Haha thanks John! So the truth is it’s really hard for me to get any more than two videos per month out. If I can still do that but also throw in one gear review, I think that’s a doable workload. That’s what I was kind of thinking.
That was one heck of a storm. I am glad you did not get hail. I enjoy gear review videos. Watching them has helped me immensely in obtaining quality gear. Sam. You and Kevin are going to be top creators soon. You two are definitely my favorites out of all others.
Im a single solo camper. I've Been all over in Wisconsin, didn't think anyone would Get into it since I'm a single female who loves camping by myself.. I'm going to start viodeoing soon as soon as my Rode microphone gets here.. Sam Bananas is awesome, will have to meet up someday and camp together and hit some amazing hiking trails... I'm from wisconsin... emjoy
Watching again getting motivated for my camping trip tomorrow night. It will be a car camping trip near a bayou that goes through a sugar cane field. I plan to do a little catch and cook. But I have back up supplies. I do like car camping as you can bring the kitchen sink if you like. I also like not having to park the car where is may be robbed or vandalized. That activity is pretty bad here. I’m thinking that when I do back pack stuff I will be dropped off. We shall see.
This is what we like to watch videos 1st class . I hope you and Mrs Banana are enjoying yourselves and I hope to see more of your videos and I hope that Kevin is okay but I watch both your videos and I love both of them. I’m having a great time watching you and Kevin keep up the good work john Sheffield England
Yes I think a gear review now and again is a good idea. Reviews many times helps me decide on new gear. Sometimes I’ll even find gear that I didn’t know existed. Maybe save me some money if something is junk. Go for it.
Enjoyed your video. Thanks. I personally don’t like product testing on videos, because they can sometimes start to feel like really long commercials, but I’m not making my living by just watching. Thanks again.
I like the car camping video. That’s about all I get to do. I have a suggestion for some gear reviews… cots/ sleeping systems for those of us bigger guys. I’m 6’3” and 300 lbs. There is not a lot of sleeping gear designed for us. Love the videos. Keep it up!
Quit exclaiming and finish your second hamburger before it turns to mush in the rain, Guy! LOL! What did you expect? Rain is WET! ;D Loved the video and I love that tent. I haven't seen any of your videos before and really enjoyed this one. Happy camping.
Sure doing a gear review is a good thing. People like to see what is being used and what is actually worth buying for themselves. Thank you for sharing your awesome adventures 😀 and Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into these videos. KEEP ADVENTURING GOD BLESS YOU 🤗HUGS🤗
Also Sam when you get home you should put you tent and sleeping bag out on the clothes line. My dad would always recommend to dry you camping gear out.
Just finding this channel. Sweet vids. Drink a ton of water. The element of life. No water no life. U can last for over 10 days no food. Won’t make a week no water

When I cant sleep I always run back to this video it’s so soothing and relaxing I always end up having the best sleep now that’s how u camp in the rain 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 keep up the good work I love your videos
Thank you!!! Glad to help 🫡
This episode brought me back to camping as a kid and always getting rained out. Your channel is so fun. Keep it up.
I appreciate that man, thank you!
Thanx for shouting out Steve wallis. That's guys awesome. Also great video I really enjoyed so please keep the content coming 😀
Glad you liked it! Steve is my hero
new subscriber here! the youtube powers know I love thunderstorms, and camping videos.
Nothing better than camping in the rain, great video.
Thank you!!!
loved this video. thank you for going out in the elements to capture it all brother.
Thanks man! Really my pleasure honestly. It was a blast!
Haha the intro is crazy 🌧 Makes me hope for rain this weekend! Thanks man, these videos inspire me on my own adventures 🌲
Haha awesome dude! Glad to hear it, have fun out there!
This is the best rain+tent+storm+raindropspunds = just perfect
Awesome glad you liked it bud!
The best part of camping is if a storm or two or even three roll through! As long as you're prepared then next to your soulmate it's the most romantically exciting of feeling ALIVE experience you'll enjoy!!! ❤️ Love me some Weather 🙂👍
Absolutely! My wife not super big on tent camping but I know what you mean. Cheers 🍺🍌
Burger was raw as hell
Camping is a relaxing comforting thing to do. To light a fire, be warm, have a nice meal, enjoy nature, sleep in the woods. Its all about being close to nature.
👍
Look forward to seeing what your next great adventure might be😮
That's a crazy storm dude you are nuts 🤣
All time favorite camping video. Mr B so funny, real and endearing. Thank you!
Aww man thank you!
This is a very good camping channel, I am learning new camping skills and am out all the time, you have a great teaching channel
Thanks!
The videos in the rain are my favorite thank you !
You got it and thank you for watching!
That meat was raw as hell
Sam, good to have you back. I go car camping, or park and walk to a spot a few miles on. Most campground, if you ask, have remote sites, some will tell you "i have fifty acres, camp where you want". Wood is expensive, as a carpenter i have no shortage of kindling, or larger dimension lumber. I collect empty cardboard boxes from any establishment, then cut the wood to size, stacked neatly with newspaper stuffed between, be surprised how much wood fits in a box. As well collecting radom logs through the year, cut and stack for future use. I bring a 18volt makita saw & pull saw
with me, four charged batteries, good for four days cutting small logs i drag out of the woods, or rivers. Chopping gets old. Have a good one Sam.
Dude that’s a nice setup you have there. Cheers brother 🍻🍌
This is so relexing i love thunder storm natures, i wish if i was there
Glad you liked it!
Hi there@@CampingwithSamBananas
i love setting up in solid rainstorms, eating W E L L....and hunkering down and eating well and appreciating primitive life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rain on bros and sis's!!!!
🤘🍌🤘
Very kind words and much appreciated my friend. Looking forward to that first video when you’re ready brother.
Im a single solo camper. I've Been all over in Wisconsin, didn't think anyone would
Get into it since I'm a single female who loves camping by myself..
Now that was a great storm and video. I really enjoyed this, thanks :)
Very much appreciated thank you!
Thanks!
Papa Smurf what’s up my man?!?
Papa Smurf is the man, THANK YOU!!! 🍺🍌
Very cool stuff Sam. I really enjoyed it!
Awesome dude, thank you!!!
John I'm so glad you found my channel and I hope you stick around. Got a lot more coming my friend.
Love your “ oh my goodness” phrases
Yes I think a gear review now and again is a good idea. Reviews many times helps me decide on new gear. Sometimes I’ll even find gear that I didn’t know existed. Maybe save me some money if something is junk. Go for it.
Thanks Jim, I appreciate the feedback!
I love watching rain storms with lightning, I usually play , Thunder and Lightning by Queen, it’s great, makes my day 🤣👍🌸
Nice 👍
Yes, review what is sent to you in an honest manner. Helping others is always cool.
Thank you for the input Steve!
Thank you for the input Steve!
For novice campers and hikers I think people would enjoy an opinion. You’re trying it out in front of everyone 👍
Thank you for the input!
Enjoyed your video. Thanks. I personally don’t like product testing on videos, because they can sometimes start to feel like really long commercials, but I’m not making my living by just watching. Thanks again.
Glad you liked the video and your input is appreciated my friend!
I love it when it’s raining while camping. Good sleep.
You got that right!
I would love to camp in the rain again, it’s so soothing, haven’t done it since I was a kid. Good video!
I appreciate that Linda. Camping the rain really is my favorite. It's awesome!!
I like the car camping video. That’s about all I get to do. I have a suggestion for some gear reviews… cots/ sleeping systems for those of us bigger guys. I’m 6’3” and 300 lbs. There is not a lot of sleeping gear designed for us. Love the videos. Keep it up!
Dude that's actually a great. I have some friends your size and they never want to go because of the reasons you just listed. I'll look into that.
Gear reviews are great if they are honest and unbiased information and real world experience and knowledge is priceless have a beautiful day
Thank you for the feedback. You have a beautiful day as well!
Miss camping in the rain nothing better to fall asleep listening to it hitting the tent.
I love it!
Quit exclaiming and finish your second hamburger before it turns to mush in the rain, Guy! LOL! What did you expect? Rain is WET! ;D Loved the video and I love that tent. I haven't seen any of your videos before and really enjoyed this one. Happy camping.
Haha dude glad you liked it. This one really me riled up for some reason LMAO!
Sure doing a gear review is a good thing. People like to see what is being used and what is actually worth buying for themselves. Thank you for sharing your awesome adventures 😀 and Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into these videos.
KEEP ADVENTURING
GOD BLESS YOU
🤗HUGS🤗
This comment is very much appreciated. Thank you, this type of stuff keeps me going
First vid that I ever watched from your channel. Raw footage while camping in a thunderstorm, booze, n burgers over fire got me to sub...thank you
Dude thank you!! It’s very much appreciated my friend.
I would like to see a gear review every so often. Thanks for taking some of the viewers comments into thought.
My pleasure!
Omg that was awesome 👌 I wanted to be there so bad just to wrap myself in a blanket and enjoy the rain. Great video
Glad you liked it!
Some good gear reviews are always welcome Sam. Especially if there's something unique and something you like about it.
Thanks man!

Yes gear review once in a while would be great, we'll learn even more about camping gear, what to take what not to take!!
I’m out notes and appreciated, thank you!
Last time we camped in indiana for the ibew reunion we came home before the rains it was a once in a lifetime experience.
Sounds like fun
Sam Bananas is the undisputed Rain Camping King!
🌧 👑
Also Sam when you get home you should put you tent and sleeping bag out on the clothes line.
My dad would always recommend to dry you camping gear out.
Absolutely! I have a line in the basement for it. Unfortunately we don’t have much of a yard
I am always amazed how many times people in rain use words like, crazy, insane holy god and such. It's like they have never seen rain before.
Have you ever seeeeeen the rain? 😆
My Husband & I enjoy camping...
We Live on the Island of Maui, Hawaii
It's my first time watching your UA-cam about camping... Its so far enjoyable
Thank you glad you like it! My Dad lives on Maui
I think a gear review every once in awhile would be good that helps to know whatz good and what's junk and I bet it is hard to camp every week
Thank you Wanda!
this was the Best Video !! finally a real review .. beer burgers and Rain !! lots of it !
Dude awesome! Glad you liked it my friend. Working on another that will go up tomorrow or the next day.
Rain camping and snow camping those are my favorite times to camp.
Me too
Just finding this channel. Sweet vids. Drink a ton of water. The element of life. No water no life. U can last for over 10 days no food. Won’t make a week no water
Thanks my man! I agree, drinking water is super important. Helps with the hangover too 😉
It good to see you back
Thanks Andy you too!
Whoa.....that's a storm. But you were killin me. Welcome to the party pal! Camp ground camping. Winner Winner. Positive part....No bugs. Best line of the whole video was "I need a rain suit, this poncho is nut cuttin it!" I was rollin.
😂 thanks! Yeah this was a fun one
Always good to see gear being tested. It's expensive to try stuff out just to see how it performs! I rely on you guys to see new gear. Good testing.
Thanks John! The input is much appreciated.
