MegapiemanPHD I never played the original synthetic, but I played the event one and it was SICK! You did a great job with that map honestly - I just didn’t want to go in on Halloween maps for this vid. That map should absolutely be in the game though

It's super cool that you remember Humidity, and in such a positive light too!
I spent a good 15-16 months working on Humidity over the course of 2016 and 2017, and I learned so much about hammer throughout my time working on it. It was my first major project, and it really shows. I'd honestly love to get around to remastering this map and fixing a lot of issues I see with it, but free time has been sparse for me. I'm honored that you'd include Humidity in this video, and here's to hoping that it gets added in a future update!

Well there *is* an Overwatch 2 game mode which just so happens be like that map....
I feel like if accepted, Effigy would be in the alternative mods, so not many people would play it.
I think it'd be a mode that either people would flock to playing like hightower or avoid, like hightower...

Abandoned upward is basically just upward with a makeover. Fundamentally, it offers nothing different.
Its Upward but worse.
Honestly hate the abandoned upward map, not a big fan of the green and those weird ass crystals and the trees neither.

It’s very nice that sulfur and pier have been added to the official map rotation. Playing them, I’ve really enjoyed them.
The payload maps really look like a official valve made map with the quality: smooth edges, nice scenery and fun features/effects

Sulfur feels like a mix between Attack/Defend and King Of The Hill, which is an interesting dynamic for the game, and now that it is in the game thanks to Summer 2023, I'm hoping it stays year-round, because I've been enjoying it the most.
Humidity and Stallone definitely had a shot at being included in the Summer 2023 update, but alas, didn't make it, however, I'd be highly interested to see some other update add the maps officially.

Yes all of these maps are amazing and very interesting and Valve should add them in to the game on an update but the thing is when the update will be released...

The Mayann map is actually really cool! i'd like it to be on tf2. Since i am a fan of animals, seeing those crocs made me scream with joy! I hope this map goes in.
On another note gotta love how even after all these years valve refuses to add maps that don't have an obnoxious amounts of chokepoints.

I just want to say, this is my favorite video from you I've seen so far. The presentation was tasteful and to-the-point, and I really appreciated shining the spotlight on community content. Maps especially are hard for a player to just check out from looking at the workshop alone. I bet the mapmakers appreciate this as well. Good video!

If you didn’t know, The Winglet animated a trailer for the Mayan Project update. Like how end of the line had one. So it was likely that the community had 2 projects they were working on separately and submitted them to valve. And valve chose to have jungle inferno as the Pyro update.

I remember the Mayann Community Update was announced at about the same time when I was learning about Aztec, Mayan and Incan cultures in History class in highschool so I was MASSIVELY hyped to see an update themed around ancient pre-Columbian archaeology and ruins exploration.
Needless to say, I love Ququmannz and I would love to see it added into the official map rotation.

I like how the skits throughout the video aren’t even machinemas, they’re just Joey walking around as a normal player, which really lends to the comedic vibe of stumbling across another player’s misfortunes in-game.

All amazing looking maps. I’ve been waiting for a Tug of War style Payload map for a long time.
I came back from the summer update to tell wonderful news.
I think the reason why is cause in a lot of these maps sentries can be placed or nests made in areas where spies cant get at or where the enemy team cant reach without uber.
Funny that out of all the maps you listed The only ones I got in as an official Map was pier One of the honorable mentions

I love how Effigy looks, but I recall the tug o' war (shove o' war?) payload concept to be kinda stalematey (see pl_waste).
But yeah, all of these maps look amazing.
Not to mention non-halloween varients of scream fortress maps that get in.
I have my own map idea: pl_assembly. It takes place in a large factory where Mann Co. supply crates are manufactured. While BLU is pushing the cart, fights take place on the complicating assembly lines where you can die from getting crushed by the equipment.
Valentine feels like a good map for TF2
1. It would call out the fact that, The TF2 Team are Mercenaries and this is somewhat, what a mercenary would be paid to do

There are several problems with adding new maps. The first problem is that they would have to update the game.
I have a brilliant idea for a new gamemode. Inspired by the Command Centers gamemode in Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, I call it Generators, and the goal is to destroy the enemy generator, which has a ton of health.
A map concept I have for this gamemode is "gen_aquabase," which takes place in two undersea bases and the underwater location between it. To cross between these two bases, you have to scuba dive, and there are many entryways into the base. At the heart of each base is the Generator, which is surrounded by water. Basically, it looks like Koopa Cape from Mario Kart Wii.
We really did get pier in boys.

Honestly, having a weekly or even monthly map rotation under a "community maps" tab would be really dope. Even just giving the community a single map to test out every couple weeks would a). Give players more input on what maps get in, b) Give experienced players something new to test out periodically, and c). Encourage much more people to get into the map-making scene. I think we would see a boom of really creative maps, and would all around just be pretty fun.
They say that they try not to add content from the same creators yet they do it for unusuals and hats etc
Heavy Update + MvM Ideas from previous video + Frontline Style maps from this video (especially the one with the boat) = A satisfying update
Honestly, I'd love a medium update with some variety maps and the usual new case and such.
Just make it an around the world theme, like a recollection of past missions around the globe and add different maps without the worry of fitting a main theme.
Would certainly make the wait for the next big update much more easier.

TF2 is such a great game with such a creative community. It's truly sad that It's not getting that attention it so well deserves. The TF2 communtiy is handing the TF team updates on a silver platter. You can't deny the passion is there.
