I used to watch a lot of history channel with my dad as a kid, and as youtube started becoming a bigger platform, I discovered SFMs and TF2. I showed my dad these SFMs and he instantly became a fan. We'd then routinely watch animations on the TV together after we got those early chromecast devices. I'm sure this video would have instantly became one of his favorites if he were still around. Thanks to everyone that worked on this video. It made a random nobody on the internet a little bit warmer this holiday.

Kennedy Phillips has got to be one of the best voice actors that I've ever heard as a narrator. Kept the whole episode completely engaging. Makes me want to watch it again.

It basically is just a generic world war documentary you'd see on the History channel except in Garrysville. You had the christmas truce of WW1, operation Barbarossa with the overstretch of logistics Blu soldier did, the plan for the snowbomb is literally called "Mann & Hat Project". Everything in this is so damn clever.
Your versitility and usage of different styles of filmmaking is wonderful, but I was genuinely captured by the story! I can see how Oliver Stone and Robert Rodriguez served as fine inspiration here. You are absolutely fantastic, man. 🧜♂
The animation was BEAUTIFUL during the interview segments especially, the humor was on point, the voice acting was pretty damn good. I'm SO HYPED for the future of this channel.

This is by far one of the best SFM's in seen in a while! The designing is fantastic, the animated interviewing *(plus voice acting)* is wonderfully talented and the list goes on!
While rewatching this to satisfy my current crave for more Team Neighbourhood content, I noticed that at about 0:13 , when the TV screen is showing different pictures of the two teams, there’s a curious detail if you pay close enough attention. Notice how with the shots of the RED team, they all seem a lot more coordinated, as well as seeming like they’re enjoying themselves a lot more. The last shot of their group even gives me a sort of “family photo” type of vibe, if that makes any kind of sense. Meanwhile, with the BLU team, their shots seem a lot more sporadic and feels like half of the team don’t even wanna be there for it. Considering the RED team seem a lot more close knit in comparison to their BLU neighbours based on the first four episodes, this feels quite fitting, or at least it does to me. Details like this always make rewatching episodes so fun, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
This is one of the best documentaries out there. It tells a compelling story, always has you rooting for one side, is filled to the brim with action and comedy, and has a respectable ending. Truly a work of art. National Geographic, eat your heart out
9:11 this is my favorite part the fact that both Red and Blue soldiers are fighting and showing off their military skills and their PSTD back in training makes it seem like an actual war movie it’s just *wow* -Edit: Me and my brother fighting.

The section 10:10 to 10:26 had me cracking up, like that was so funny to me somehow. I legit thought he was gonna use him as a battering ram instead or do the same thing BLU did to get into the house which is to throw Scout through the glass, but Heavy straight up capped his smug ass which resulting in him spawning at base or in this case, in the house's living room. Pretty genius with how you lined up the bit, Heavy's slow look to Scout as the music goes silent and then camera on the living room as Scout popped back into existence.
In some moments, you can see that the Blue Spy understands that this is absurd and acts more intelligently: do nothing. You can also see that it was he who called Miss Polling. 22:24
Yet another reminder why Overwatch will be known as a flash in the pan while Team Fortress 2 is immortal. Also, I'm more excited in seeing Das Boshitt than anything else. I nearly choked laughing when I saw him.

The section 10:10 to 10:26 had me cracking up, like that was so funny to me somehow. I legit thought he was gonna use him as a battering ram instead or do the same thing BLU did to get into the house which is to throw Scout through the glass, but Heavy straight up capped his smug ass which resulting in him spawning at base or in this case, in the house's living room. Pretty genius with how you lined up the bit, Heavy's slow look to Scout as the music goes silent and then camera on the living room as Scout popped back into existence.
