Hey man, I'll give you a call. Haven't forgotten about you just been really busy with expansion at the shop.
I have been enjoying you supplemental instructions to Rich's RC Informers video on the modifications. How did you determine exact location of putting in the I beams under the metal plates. I know Rich says its approximately 25 mm from the side of the fuse and 10 mm from the fuse at the back end of the I beam. How did you determine the exact starting point of the front of the I beam? (The front of the I beam being located towards the nose of the aircraft)
Gently put your hobby knife through the foam until you feel the back of the landing gear mount. The I beam butts up against the back of it. If you put the Beam in the center of the gear mount it will line up with the center of the mounting plate. Thanks for checking out the upgrade vids! Good luck with your build!

Can you clarify what you did with the carbon spar? I am confused as to if you cut it down while in the place or removed it, cut it down, and put it back. good tip on removing the assembly
David, after you take out the factory plate and put the replacement plate down to trace out you mark the spar. Lift the plate back up and then I simply used a Dremel with a cutting wheel and cut it. If you look closely you can see the cut marks on the carbon spar. Then I slipped an Exacto underneath the short section that would be under the plate and carefully cut under it to break it free and lifted it out. I also cut the tabs on the landing gear plate that spar ran into. Cut it with the dremel down to level with the top of the landing gear block. Then the new plate sets down flush on top of it after all the foam is trimmed down for the plate. Hope this helps!!!!
